Jennica I’ve been having the same problem with conversations after the pandemic!! I spent a lot of time alone and I didn’t really talk to anyone so whenever I started going out I stuttered over my words, was anxious to start a conversation, and sadly I felt like I really didn’t have anything interesting to say! But I started going out more, actually putting the effort into having random conversations with different people, and most importantly taking the time to retry and pronunciate my words when I stumbled over them even if it was embarrassing! I have noticed that I often initiate and can keep the conversation going longer than most people around me now. It just takes time and you have to make sure you’re not so hard on yourself, life is difficult enough!! 😊
I have terrible anxiety. I am the same way about speaking. I dont have any social but YT and even commenting sometimes I get nervous bc I had someone call me names and go off bc I "spoiled" a show that had been out years by what I said. Relating SOOOO much to feeling weird and awkward in conversations and interactions post pandemic. I grew and have raised a whole baby in this and I feel so weird around adults now lol. Even though we have few things in common Jennica, I love watching your videos. Our backgrounds are super super different, since I actually grew up Amish. I am no longer Amish but most of my family still is, and I appreciate the heritage I was gifted in being born into an Amish family. Some people have had bad experiences with being Amish but mine was wonderful and I especially enjoyed the video a few videos back where you mentioned you had Amish in your hometown! So interesting!!!! ANYWAY...🤦♀️ All that to say, I love your personality so much. You make my day when I watch your content. 🥰 Also, just a thought about the "not really wanting to go out as much" feelings. Maybe its because when you worked a traditional job, you couldn't wait to get out and unwind and you did that by going out with friends or whatever, just going out! Starting your own business and working from home has given you so much confidence in what you've accomplished that you're more okay with staying home and another thing that helps is that you have a gorgeous space to stay home in! I've noticed with myself, starting my own business has given me so much confidence that I'm just okay being who I am and I just enjoy almost every minute of my day, and don't look to THINGS as much to make me happy or help me unwind. JENNICA- no you are not weird! I am the same post pandemic. I used to be an extrovert, even the old term social butterfly has been used by several friends to describe me. Now, I have anxiety in stores, crowds- I don’t want to deal with people, I just want to be home. Thankfully I have an office at work I hide out in but I just struggle with social anxiety and all anxiety. Never, ever did I think in a million years that I would have that problem😔

pre-pandemic i always thought i was the biggest introvert ever like i thought i could go months without talking to anyone. yeah no, 2021 was the worst year of my life. I was extremely depressed. i went to Disney World over the summer and it was probably the worst week of my life. Then, in person school started normally again and suddenly everything was fixed. So you saying how you feel awkward and weird right now really made me feel so much better about myself. I was awkward before the pandemic but now it’s even worse and i’m insecure about my face because of masks and it’s a whole thing but i’m still pushing through. we can do this.
