- In the Indian Bus market, we have been waiting for a very long time for a bus like Ashok Leyland's 13.5 M to launch because Ashok Leyland makes some good Intercity long distance Buses, especially when we talk about tier Two cities and Suburbans Ashok Leyland is the favorite choice of operators due to its low maintenance and superior mileage characteristics.

Recently in the PraWaas expo at Hyderabad, Ashok Leyland officially launched a 248HP bi axle 13.5 M Front Engine bus chassis,
This bus was anticipated to be launched in more horsepowers but Ashok Leyland understood the demand of operators, where the kind of road they were using this vehicle are not that good and those extra horsepowers will eat up the mileage. Playing very smartly and finding a perfect balance between Power, mileage and requirement Ashok Leyland finally came up with the A series 4-cylinder engine, whereas, the actual requirement of the operators was 6 cylinders(long-term reliability and smooth operation).

Ashok Leyland Launched 13.5M TF2513.5F6R Bus Chassis at Prawaas 3.0. The 13.5m intercity bus chassis (4X2) offers 36 sleeper berths passenger capacity. Powered by a 248HP A4 engine, his bus delivers better fluid economy and shorter trip time. The optional full air suspension with anti-roll bar configuration & electromagnetic retarder ensures a safe and comfortable ride.
While the price is variable, a rough idea of the price of this bus is around 45 Lakhs, which can be lowered during moon and festive season discounts. Will, you consider buying one?

Why do you talk about the lights and other things that will be taken off and replaced eventually by the body builder. You should try and focus more on the technician specs and explanations for the same. Otherwise good content and a review

The tyre which is fitted on this Ashok Leyland is Michelin X multi Z2 tubeless type, which is industry best tyre life present in India.
In fact this tyre is the most premium tyre for its segment and you can verify it from any tyre dealer.
Its a request to rectify it on your video as it will create a negative impact and inappropriate information to the viewers.

6 cylinder engine dena chahiye
all bus manufacturers have stopped 6 cylinder engines for buses. Only Volvo is providing now (They too have dropped 420 HP 11 liter engine)
We generally don't need 6 cylinders because of low mileage. 4 Cylinder with Turbo & 248HP is more than enough for 98% Indian operators 🙋

@@BehindTheWheels one need to understand that 4 cylinders have to work harder than 6 cylinder engines to get the same power and torque output which reduces the lifecycle of the engine by 30%. 6 cylinder engines are reliable when compared to 4 cylinder ones but maybe at the cost of mileage.
your videos are good and informative, but u r lacking some knowledge, wheel base of this chassis is 7000 mm and eicher is 6900, rear overhang of eicher is kept short to give facility for rear large boot space, in tata and leyland rear boot will be small or body builder has to increase the overall length to make rear boot space....... for refernce check eicher completely built body in this exhibition only , that gray colour bus

Here my wheelbase explanation is only about better turning ability inside the city and in ghat sections, 100 mm wheel base in 44 feet long bus play a very marginal role especially in tyre life.
