Matt you're such a nice guy. I marked you twice on the streaming board at the weekend's swiss open and you were the only one shaking my hand before the match. Wish you all the best.
Matt is a lovely guy, real credit to the sport. One of the reasons why I always tune in, we also share a mutual friend, and he’s is apparently a top, top shagger. He’s grilled more birds than a George Foreman
Thank you was great to meet you, you all did a great job
As much as I’d love to play along with this esp with how well you worded it unfortunately misguided I have a very very low score in that department
@@tomtomkins8619 dropped more knickers than a drunk forklift driver in an M&S warehouse?
@@BigGoucho other department stores are available
Darryl Fitton has tried to go through Q School, I've marked him there
I have a lot of time for chris and his input on darts. Thanks for bringing this type of content.
2 more great episodes still to come
I dont know if Im allowed to say this but Ted Hankey
He had one I was his first game on tour
Yes I won
Nonce
Hogan was a very good player
Martin Phillips definitely
Oh good shout
I could listen to you and mace talk all day😀
2 more episodes still to come
Shame he's a criminal
Also john Walton
Great video matt ritchie howson for me should have a tour card martin Adams too for me
Richie did have one
Oh yeh he did be good if he went q school and got a tour card Leonard gates
Using my own criteria of only players who played since it was introduced and discounting anyone who was playing a significant amount on the PDC circuit before it was introduced (which rules out a lot including Fordham) I’d go with
1- Martin Adams
2- Tony O’Shea
3-John Walton
4-Martin Phillips
5- Beau Greaves
Love Andy Fordham ❤️
Ask Chris about Ian Covill , Best player outside the PDC i ever saw.
The list must be have Hogan but in his prime there are no Tour Card at the PDC. One of the most impressive player is or was Jamie Caven i know he got a card but with all his Handicaps what a very good performer he is.
If we’re going for players who didn’t have the chance then maybe some of the earliest ones, from the indoor league or the original world championships
I've heard a few things about Chris Dobey's dad!
Paul Hogan Martin Adams Andy Fordham Martin Phillips tony o shea
So how did the system work before 2011??
Just open events
Disappointed I didn't make the list 😕
@leewhodis?
I may be showing my American bias, but Leonard Gates has made a case for creeping up this list. He’s been playing a long time, won pretty much all there is to win on the Soft Tip circuit, and his contribution to the Senior Events is undeniable.
Don’t worry he gets mentioned in a different episode coming soon
Glad u didn't have the count on the list
Strong list. Few other contenders include Martin Phillips, Gary Robson and Colin McGarry.
Darin Young was another who was brilliant for years but never went to Q-School.
Darin Young was excellent, it’s a shame cause he had said in interviews that he would love to play the tour but had too many commitments at home to move to England. Some other good Americans I remember are Ray Carver, John Kuczynski and of course Larry Butler former World Matchplay champ 🙂
Did Roland Scholten ever play Q school? I feel like he retired before tour cards
He was around played him many times
@@Edgartvdarts Ah awesome! Loving these podcasts btw Matt, was a huge supporter of Mace back in the day 🙂
How about Trina Gulliver? In terms of success away from the PDC, she's won everything
Beau Greaves?
Bit too soon but defo will make the conversation if she doesn’t do it soon
Is she allowed to get to UK Open via Rileys.......and if so do you think she might go for it next year??
It's not clear what the question is. Eric Bristow, John Lowe, Jocky Wilson, Bob Anderson and Leighton Rees couldn't have held a tour card if the system started in 2011.
They wasn’t around in 2011 and playing in any tour
Best players who’ve never held a tour card but have attempted to obtain one or were successful at a time when the system was in place (I find Chris Mason a bit of an unfair placement on this list though cause he had had a decent career and had retired when he went to Q-school so I’d have added on no one who’s previously won a title)
