Schematics or die is actually feasable somehow if you actually get in too, lol..... (For the record: I don't think you've failed, your work has put my shop in a better position than before. Whether you push for repair or not: these greedy companies were going to pull all the same crap they're currently doing anyways. As soon as tax season ends I plan on donating to the Fight to Repair nonprofit.)
For the record: Louis won. Not the whole struggle. Just a stage of it. To get people to know. To realise that there are ways to push back against the arrogance of the big (and not so big) tech. Things are happening in many places. It's not only about the US. In the EU law requiring manufacturers to make things repairable is just coming to force. I bet there will be many loopholes and gray areas in it which manufacturers will be exploiting. This struggle will never end. The right to repair as well as any other right has to be fought for, cherished, and cared for. Because reality teaches that no right is given once and forever. There will always be those who like to take advantage and play unfairly.
PLEASE GO FOR IT. This is the best meme idea I have heard on this channel. It seems fairly unlikely that you, as a non-billionaire, would be chosen-but just on the premise of the possibility of it happening, even for a little while, you would be the best fit for this position. And frankly you would be the only voice in this administration actually working in the best interests of 99% of the American people. You have my full support. I say go for it-like you said, you have nothing to lose!
I will iterate every single time... Get money out of government period! I don't understand how the public allows this and North America is ruled by it rather than people and people just don't simply understand this.
It would be more of a statement unfortunately. You can't run a commission when the sitting members are already bought and paid for. There are hundreds of increasingly complex and highly specific reasons this wouldn't work (even though government bodies should have more people like Mr Rossman).
You haven't been showing up in my feed, so I'm glad to see you're still alive! Been wondering about you, afraid that the corporate mafia had gotten a hold of you!!
Well kicking out Khan is the only political move that they can do. She was appointed by an opposing government. If you keep her they loose their support. No matter how good she is.
Yea, Louis is way too critical and intelligent for trump, I hope he gets it but its unlikely, and Louis wants to punish some companies while trump wants the companies to be nearly invincible (decrease tax rates)

Lol! I remember when some strong arm institution came after rtr and Louis was like “yeahhhh… no. When these guys show up, people disappear.” Now it’s like “You’ll destroy your life!” And Louis proceeds to laugh in their face while signing the paper that says companies must be pro-consumer. I’m all here for it!
Ah, I'm from Europe, so some floating ideas, like the possibility of voting without an ID that's being discussed in the US, are unthinkable here. xD So the implication was: if people can start voting without an ID, I don’t see why we can’t vote for Louis!
This would be a dream. Nobody on the planet deserves to be in that position, only Louis. He was born for this, and I bow to his dedication to keeping companies from screwing everyone. FTC chief, let's make it happen!
You vote for the man who doesn't want the job because you know they'll be good at it. You also vote for the man who wants the job but only because they're crazy and also be good at it.
As much as I would love to see you "deal" with these companies, we all know how it would end. They would appeal, a judge would get involved, they'd settle quietly for pennies on the dollar and a clean record, and go right back to business as usual. But I'm all for making you head of the FTC, hands down.
The only way to fix the country is for all the true experts who know their shit to stand up and go after those jobs. Selflessly. For the first time in my life, its finally happening.
$0 fine for breaking the law. $0 I was excited. I was. Before the right to repair exexutive order came out I was already prepared and worked on having a whitepaper ready so they could dive right in. My lawyer said in his 30 years working on these cases he has never had such little communication or feedback from the FTC. Do you know why companies still tell you that you are voiding the warranty by removing a sticker, or by replacing your ram or joystick? Because when a company breaks that law, Lina Khan's FTC fined them $0.00. They are allowed to find up to $45,000 per instance, and every time this has happened, they got a $0 fine. I was excited too.
@ I must have missed this. I saw the FTC go after oil companies for price fixing with OPEC. Did this have to do with fines for selling driver data without customer permission?
Comparatively, she has been. She's hated by the right people. Definitely disappointed in some things, but you can only do so much in a position like that in a fundamentally corrupt government and keep your job.
Do you know what it's like to put together a 70 page white paper where you've done extensive research that cost over $50,000 and then for your attorney to tell you that in 30 plus years of his practice he has never received this little engagement from the FTC? As far back as January of 2021, I was praising her as a pick. She seemed awesome, and she did do one or two good things while she was there. But the overwhelming majority of it was incredibly disappointing. Not just right to repair, but on a number of different issues where they admitted outright that a company broke the law over and over again, and their fine was zero dollars. **You guys pay more of a fine if you go ten miles an hour over the speed limit.**
Such a shame the video uploaded late, but I'm guessing this was a Trump advisor suggestion primarily. Seems we won't get to see the swamp cleared. Media is reporting this might mean some progress in terms of attacking tech censorship but Idk who the guy is, is that true? (you can just say a simple yes/no/not exactly I don't wanna waste your time). God bless, Louis!
I think this is done So people ignore the fact that he is for mergers even if they increase a company's dominant position and is someone who dissented on the rules that would require companies to make one-click-cancellation a thing, to make it as easy to cancel a subscription as it is to sign up for a subscription. No normal person would dissent on that rule. He didn't write a dissent either; because It would be impossible to explain to the public why you believe they should be able to sign up for a service easily, but have to call the company or have to send certified mail to the company if they wish to cancel that service. To write a resume to get hired, you have to use keywords, so the ATS system will push your resume forward. Similarly, when you hire people who are going to continue screwing the American people business as usual, you also have to use keywords so that they don't look into how they're getting screwed. Here, the keywords are _"big tech censorship."_ Large media companies, telecoms, and service providers will continue consolidating and you're still going to have to use a privacy.com credit card you deactivate to cancel a subscription. To get people to go along and ignore everything else you're doing, you have to use the key words.
@@rossmanngroup You should keep running anyway. You already know Ferguson's a bad choice. Every decision he makes that you disagree with, every time he trips up, remind everybody it could have been YOU in that chair instead and what YOU would have done instead. Louis Rossman is the only person that I can say that I would whole heartedly support for a role in government. I have no doubt that he would act in the best interest of the the people and their rights. Speaking of rights, corporations should not have the same rights as the citizens. Corporations should not be allowed to deceive the public under the guise of Free Speech. Under no circumstances should they be allowed to take away the peoples right to be heard in a court of law, in front of a jury of the people's piers, which now happens every day. They should be held accountable for all legal infractions, and be forced pay the appropriate fines and damages. They should have no rights to the people's intellectual or personal property; also happening every day now. Louis Rossman has consistently displayed his unwavering morals, integrity, and business ethics for all to see on RUclips for many years. He is the right person for the FTC chair.
Legal and Louis stepping up when we need them! You've got my vote!
We need about 600 people like you in Congress and various key positions in federal agencies.
It would be more of a statement unfortunately. You can't run a commission when the sitting members are already bought and paid for. There are hundreds of increasingly complex and highly specific reasons this wouldn't work (even though government bodies should have more people like Mr Rossman).
Even better would be having 0 persons in those positions
@@divinecomedian2 ideally yes, but at this point a functional Republic would be nice. Direct democracy is of course the dream.
You haven't been showing up in my feed, so I'm glad to see you're still alive! Been wondering about you, afraid that the corporate mafia had gotten a hold of you!!
Just voted for you Louis. You're exactly the calibre of person we desperately need protecting consumer rights.
Thank you for sticking it to the man. You have my vote of support.
There is NO WAY Trump allows Louis to be any where near the FTC specially since they are kicking out Khan
I am sorry to hear this buddy, i support you as an ftc chairman.
You are the future of America. You're our hope, our savior. I would love to see you lead an organization like that. You have our support!!❤
YUP,
Louis would be a Tremedous _"Thorn in the PAW of ALL those horrible Profiteering Thievs*_
Signed up and voted for you. If anyone deserves such a position, it's you, Louis. Thank you for all you do.
You are the exact person who would be right for the job! You have the enthusiasm, respect, and know how to do the job. Not to glaze, but YESSSSS MAKE IT HAPPEN
If I ever make it to the top, I'm tapping you in~ Honesty, competence, forward-thinking, Empathy and authenticity are the prime requirements, and you seem to meet them all, Louis~
Can't be FTC chair, Louis still has opinions and ethics, and does not shill for the highest payer.....
Shilling for Trump is all Trump cares about, and Louis ain't kissing that ring.
Ms Khan has done an amazing job. It's a shame many voters cast their ballot for hate.
I'm sold. You have my vote.
You'd be great for this.
There's a zero percent chance of this. But zero rounded down, not absolute zero!
So I wish you luck!
I dunno, if people can get Brandon into a position that looks like he's the most likely ATF director pick then we can get anyone else in.
OH MY GOD YES PLEASE. I'm so distraught about Lina Khan's firing. If you were nominated, I would regain my hope again.
I would love this, more qualified than any other cabinet selections
A corruct billionaire whose billionaire campaign donors disliked the good work that Lina Khan WAS able to do would never knowingly put you in charge. You got my vote regardless.
I believe that would be the very best thing for the country and for the FTC.
Let's do this Louis! Never Change!
Peaceful Skies
As a Canadian, I cast my vote in the ether. You have my sword.
That's generally how voting works for us up here.
It's not like you need U.S. passport to vote anyway ;/ right? xD?
@@Robocukai Confused on what you're trying to convey. I was clearly stating I can't vote but I'm expressing my support for him to fill the position.
Come on US viewers! Get him to the FTC!!!!!
If our votes mattered, we would.
Put. This. Man. In. Charge.
Godspeed Louis
You vote for the man who doesn't want the job because you know they'll be good at it.
You also vote for the man who wants the job but only because they're crazy and also be good at it.
As much as I would love to see you "deal" with these companies, we all know how it would end. They would appeal, a judge would get involved, they'd settle quietly for pennies on the dollar and a clean record, and go right back to business as usual.
But I'm all for making you head of the FTC, hands down.
Simply inspiring man.
If you were FTC chairman this truly would be the greatest timeline. Good luck!
Thank you louis,I enjoy hearing from you on here
Voted ✅
This is the chaos we need more than ever.
Where did you vote?
@@YourCatSays... the website is nomineesforthepeople
SPREAD THIS EVERYWHERE. This is a good person with people in mind.
The only way to fix the country is for all the true experts who know their shit to stand up and go after those jobs. Selflessly. For the first time in my life, its finally happening.
No it isn't.
This needs to happen. Louis, you have my support!!
If you were to be appointed, you would be overqualified compared to the other cabinet picks.
Did you spell "picks" correctly? I thought there was an "r" in it somewhere 😊
@tonydavis9495 😂maybe I did misspell it
Everyone go there and vote for Louis. He's our guy!
Yes please!!!!!!
I fully support this nomination! A sorely needed government outsider to right the non-turning-ship that is the FTC.
Heck yeah!
Yes. I am 100% behind this.
Lina Khan was a gem.
$0 fine for breaking the law.
$0
I was excited.
Louis' comment don't show on his channel. And people don't think shady things happen with comments. 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Louis Rossmann for FTC Chairman is the best thing I've heard today.
Here, the keywords are _"big tech censorship."_
Large media companies, telecoms, and service providers will continue consolidating and you're still going to have to use a privacy.com credit card you deactivate to cancel a subscription. To get people to go along and ignore everything else you're doing, you have to use the key words.
Trump is the swamp
@@rossmanngroup You should keep running anyway. You already know Ferguson's a bad choice. Every decision he makes that you disagree with, every time he trips up, remind everybody it could have been YOU in that chair instead and what YOU would have done instead. Even in the worst case, if this administration won't acknowledge you, you'll have a four year headstart on getting the public behind you and forcing the next administration to address your concerns.
You know, DOGE is planning on putting a person in each agency to reduce spending. We should see if Elon Musk is willing to put a "crazy person" in the FTC if the chairman idea doesn't happen.
Thanks for looking at my email
Mr. Louis, you are a hero.
Louis... You HAAAVE TO DO THIS!!
OMG THIS WILL BE HUGE!!!!!
Louis would be the most qualified appointee in the whole administration. That would be great.
Hell Yeah!!!
Louis, you absolutely have my support. I proudly support Herrara for ATF and Rossman for FTC.
Am I your first endorsement?! Let's go!
YES!!! I trust you Louis and I'm sure you'd do A GREAT job!!!
Rossman has the attitude, knowledge and practical experience to dominate this roll! no time for bs anymore when we should be working on grand innovations, not stifling human development out of greed.
I will be votin' for ya.
I love u dude!
It's hard to not love someone as real as you are, when people overdosing on bs and drowning in corruption
Thank u
Vote this guy in. He would be perfect
I've been hoping for this for years
America needs you! Lets gooooooooooooooooooo!
Rossmann for FTC chair ... MEME creators, you know what to do.
I seriously doubt Louis would make it passed the front door. He's honest, and honesty is very limited within government circles.
I'm with you!
You as the FTC chair would be the first politician I trust, because I don't have to take your word for it. You've done so much for all of us, and you are my daily reminder that companies don't give a shit and it's up to us to hold them accountable for their bullshit, otherwise it'll only get worse.
I’d vote
Louis is very fun, uncut, and on point. It is very unusual from the US content makers. I missed this kind of approach in the last years especially since US became WOKE , PC and tribal. There is still some hope for America
There is a 0.2% chance that the next admin would appoint someone as pro-consumer as Louis, but its worth a shot
Correction...a -0.2% chance. I will back Louis I n a heartbeat.
0.2%, as in 1 in 500? Just lmao. He has zero chance. Trump already picked an FTC crony, Andrew Ferguson, for the job so it's business as usual. Not that he'd have any chance anyway, as everything Louis said in this video is diametrically opposite of Trump.
@@sharon94503 Correction: There is NaN chance he will be appointed.
He should keep trying
To be honest, I would get behind him for any government role he chose to pursue.
🎉ROSSMAN 2025🎉
