Even though President Brigham Young and Emma didn’t get along ( disagreement over hymns that went into our song books) Emma stayed to take care of Joseph Smith’s mother, and Brigham Young sent money to help take care of them both
Were the saints expelled from nauvoo because many of these saints were practicing poligamy? Also Emma did not go with the saints because Brigham Young and Emma did not get along.

That may have played a part in the ultimate motivations, but the practice was not widespread. The Apostles chose to leave when they did.
It's was only an excuse for persecuting and expelling them.
