  • Every marriage faces disagreements because every spouse has his/her own personality, perspective, and preferences. In this episode, Dave and Ashley have an important conversation about the keys to keeping unity and peace in marriage even when the husband and wife have two different preferences. Examples will be shared from small issues like "What to watch on Netflix" to major, life-changing choices like "Whether to have more children" and "Should we make a career change."

When it comes to really important issues, I have no problem taking a strong stand. But in everyday small stuff I don't need things to go my way. I'd rather see the other person blessed.

I'm in the same situation my husband is always right it's his way or no way. I love this man so much. We have been married for 20 years in July and I can honestly say that I'm in love with him but I feel like I'm in this "love thing" by myself he tells me he loves me but I sometimes don't feel it? I talk to God all the time sometimes I'm mad and I tell I'm done God I'm leaving him but then I never do. We have been through so much worse and I'm still here because I love him so why do I leave I ask myself. Our finances and money has become an issue us not going to church in normal base has too. Communication is an issue as well. That is my main prayer that these things get better. I want this to work!!! Thank you for sharing your podcast live I love hearing you guys! God Bless you both!!

I shut up and keep my thoughts to myself and disagreement overcome. Now the downfall is that I watch the bad habits take over. And what’s crazy is that I’m always told everything goes my way. You can physically see I have no say

In my former marriage my wife was always right and I was outright stupid. The earth is down and the sky is up and she disagreed. No that doesn’t work. I’m not stupid. 😞

so that part about the guy spending the weekends with his friends, so what if it's the opposite, like in my case, I ask how important is personal time " me time"? I have no me time she is a stay at home wife. I am her only outlet and I understand that. the only time I get alone is my drive to work. I don't spend the with friends she doesn't either she is able to have time to spend with God because she has the free time available but I get up in the morning and out the door in 15 mins drive to work then with people at work the I'm driving home talking to her on the way home, then we are together until bed. when we're each others only outlet how do I get my time with God and to decompress without offending her and making her feel like "I don't want to be with her"?

Wow. I’ve been the wife in this situation. Please try this. Do your best to explain to her that your mind needs some rest and reset time so you can be your BEST self for her. For you self. For your work. And most importantly your own time with God to maintain that. Explain it to her like that. Explain that she had the time and compare that to your time just like you did but make sure you let her know it’s. Rest and reset to get some recharge time to be your BEST for God her and yourself. It’s selfless and also honest. Best of luck to you!! God bless!

This is one of the best podcasts yet. I kept hearing the word pride...😑 ouch!
The q&a ar the end was great. I really don't know how two people could live together in harmony with different political views these days. I struggle with that. It's such a problem, even in the church, thanks to Facebook! I'm gonna chew on this for a while! So good. Thanks!!

Yes sir breaking bad. Lol. But I watch any romantic comedies or love stores with my wife. Even Hallmark movies. But I like my action and guy movies. Cant help but look at my wife and tell her how much I love her when we watch a romantic show. I can relate that some times I am reluctant to watch some shows but find myself liking them most of the time.

Allyson Doerfler The point is not about the dress show the point is about sacrificing and spending time. Doesnt matter if it’s a dress show, going to the park or kayaking, its about spending time with your spouse,
