I called Amazon Seller Central the other day and the told me we are NOT allowed to put anything in our package like an insert card that directs them to our website. They even said that Amazon will randomly open packages to check to see if there are any such insert cards with seller's personal website information on them and that sellers could be denied selling privileges. I am not the only one who has called Amazon and received the same very clear instruction. So do you have any other ideas? I am on ASM and, of course, I was following their direction and had gone ahead and had cards designed and was going to have them put in my packages. Now I am not going to. So what next? I noticed also that some sellers are directly putting references to their website other places on their listings, like in their product descriptions and questions and answers. Of course, Amazon doesn't want to to divert our customers to any other site besides theirs but how are we supposed to develop our own sites?

stirling I haven’t. The supplier doesn’t have “cool” packaging. Just plain white boxes with a sticker on it. Lol. I’ve kind of just postponed everything until I do.
@@sparkills156 Go on google and source some companies. I am in the process of gaining quotes now for 1000 custom boxes. Will let you know how I get on :-) You will need correct dimensions and plan your inserts and what you want on each section of the box, color, style, text, images etc
It's kind of mysterious whether people place more than 50% value to how an item is branded+packaged. Adding a custom card or brand item to the contents or packaging will more likely get my very positive initial reaction, with meh being unimpressed. Great video!It couldn't have come at a better time. I have a bundled product I'm about to launch. I bought 200 pcs to start and my packaging is quite simple. On both products are with the generic packaging and without my logo. I have bubble wrap packaging I intend to use and in process of buying a sticker with my logo and place it on the packaging. My first thought was not to invest too much in the packaging as I don't know how well my product will do. If it does well, I will invest in more adequate packaging. Will this way of thinking of launching a product with very basic packaging hurt me during the process?
That's an option for sure! It's always good to test your market. I didn't invest in "customizing" my packaging until I new my product would stick around long-term. You can save a lot of money this way.

it doesn't have to be. I have my seller account register with business name X, and products are showing with brand name Y. if you don't have a brand registry - contact support for allowing you use a brand name you wanna use (include photos of product with a brand name on it).

inspection company only checks if everything is the same as you wish to be in every item. Fiverr guys can design your packaging, then the design file you can send to Alibaba packaging / printing supplier, then the ready box is sent to your product supplier. they have to assemble
Absolutely! That's a little more advanced and I make all my videos in a sequential order from beginner to advanced so you can look for that video in a month or so!

you can have your own barcode from GS1 and send the PDF print file to your supplier, they will print and stick to your product. or make sure to include in your packaging design. supplier can stick it for free or for some extra little fee, they should have no problem with 1000s items, that's what they do every day.

UPC code is only needed to add your product on Amazon which generates the ASIN and FNSKU when replenishing inventory. UPC doesn’t need to be on your packaging; they are more concerned about the FNSKU. You can have the FNSKU printed on packaging or have print them as labels and apply. If you have the upc barcode preprinted on the packaging, use the FNSKU label to cover it
It would have been great if you talked about what needs to be on the packaging. I’m confused with needing a UPC code on the package but not being allowed to have anything other than the FNSKU. Nobody covers this properly. Do we need a sticker? Can we just print the FNSKU and ignore the UPS? This is a head scratcher.

Good for you for looking into this at a young age!!! Everyone always wishes they started earlier and you're so young! I would definitely save some money to then invest in your training course and first batch of inventory. Don't try to do this with free information from my videos and other RUclipsrs and Google. You're better off taking a course that can guide you step-by-step!

My pleasure! I would use Fiverr to start and you can also try 99 designs! I wouldn't bother doing it myself, it would take too much time to learn the process and the results would be sub-par. I have a list of "resources" you can find in the description of this video with all the tools I use to run my online business. Yes, from there you send it to your supplier to print.
What if I want to sell a replica of a large brand because people don't want to pay the price of the luxury item but are willing to pay less for something that looks like that? wouldn't they want the product to come in packaging that the actual luxury item would come in if they were to order from them? How could I personalize that?
it's either you private label business as we all do here on Amazon (with your own brand / packaging / listing), or you just copy everything from the big brand and they can sue you.
There is a little thing i dont understand. Lets say i buy 500 sleepingmask from alibaba they are probably in 1 big package. So if alibaba sends this package to amazon fba i guess amazon is bit gonna put them all in seperate small boxes ? Do i send boxes to amazon or how does it work ? :) Ty in advance !
Old question but I'll respond anyway if someone needs help. When you purchase your packaging design you can send that design/box/bag info to Alibaba to recreate, you can also have the items shipped to your home and you put them in each package, you can also purchase the packaging and they will ship them to Alibaba supplier.
Hey dear Tatiana, where shall we add the instructions of the item? Shall we add a second insert only with the instructions? Or shall we add them on the backside of the packaging?
UPC barcode you have to buy from GS1 and put it on your product. however if you sending your items to FBA warehouse, you have to use FNSKU Amazon barcode which is free, can be downloaded online directly from your listing. you have to put it on your packaging. if UPC is there - cover it, so there is only one scannable barcode for Amazon workers to scan.

ask your supplier, if you need other design, you can ask designer to design for you (Fiverr or I can do it too), then another Alibaba printing supplier will manufacture it and send to you product supplier.

supplier usually can print the insert for you, and put it in. you just have to send them the ready design file

You definitely need to put the country of origin on the packaging but recyclable is optional (I would for sure put it on).

My pleasure! I would use Fiverr to start and you can also try 99 designs! I wouldn't bother doing it myself, it would take too much time to learn the process and the results would be sub-par. I have a list of "resources" you can find in the description of this video with all the tools I use to run my online business. Yes, from there you send it to your supplier to print.

What if I want to sell a replica of a large brand because people don't want to pay the price of the luxury item but are willing to pay less for something that looks like that? wouldn't they want the product to come in packaging that the actual luxury item would come in if they were to order from them? How could I personalize that?
it's either you private label business as we all do here on Amazon (with your own brand / packaging / listing), or you just copy everything from the big brand and they can sue you.
There is a little thing i dont understand. Lets say i buy 500 sleepingmask from alibaba they are probably in 1 big package. So if alibaba sends this package to amazon fba i guess amazon is bit gonna put them all in seperate small boxes ? Do i send boxes to amazon or how does it work ? :)

Old question but I'll respond anyway if someone needs help. When you purchase your packaging design you can send that design/box/bag info to Alibaba to recreate, you can also have the items shipped to your home and you put them in each package, you can also purchase the packaging and they will ship them to Alibaba supplier.

Can you label with your brand before you have it registered? Is it possible someone register the brand you use and steal your brand before you do it?

You can do either-or. It's up to you.. I find that the inserts just grab people's attention because they fall right out onto the floor.

What is the different between amazon barcode and upc barcode that's make confusing
UPC barcode you have to buy from GS1 and put it on your product. however if you sending your items to FBA warehouse, you have to use FNSKU Amazon barcode which is free, can be downloaded online directly from your listing. you have to put it on your packaging. if UPC is there - cover it, so there is only one scannable barcode for Amazon workers to scan.

ask your supplier, if you need other design, you can ask designer to design for you (Fiverr or I can do it too), then another Alibaba printing supplier will manufacture it and send to you product supplier.
