Nice new pic Randy! Yes, this was a tough trail - uphill and hard to start it off. I would say you would know if you wanted to keep going or not within the first 15-20 minutes, lol. Glad I kept going though!
Those forest fires do a a lot damage. That look in your face when you got up to the sign is a classic but it was worth the climb the scenery is stunning and a mouth opener. great job Josh.
Yes, it was quite the intense hike up! I really pushed myself though - it was a rough climb from the start. That trail isn't for everyone - but it was rewarding at the end, that's for sure.
What a beautiful hike! I like the rocky trail in the forest! Dear Josh, you did a phenomenal job here! Congratulations for an excellent work! Thanks for sharing such an amazing content! Thumbs up guys!
It looks easy when I sit down and look at you: o ... but seven hours? Fortunately, the landscape can make you forget fatigue. Very nice! The view that reveals, once you get up, rewards you for your effort. Thanks for the more than pleasant strolling through Table Rock State Park! All my best!
It was a really nice hike. It was quite steep to start out with - you would have known in the first 15 minutes whether you would want to continue or not, lol. I did enjoy the views at the end. Made for a rewarding hike!
There are some great hikes there! I have a couple videos from the area that you would probably like. It really is beautiful. Mine are all from the western part of the state. Most people think of the eastern beach part is SC - and no one takes the time to explore the west!
Love these stomping grounds! We have spent lots of time here. Thanks for showing us this pretty area from our younger years. We have a video about Gatlinburg and the GSMNP, if you're interested. Hoping to head out to SC in the late Spring 2018. Great hike! Congrats on your Summit!
Great views from the top. The ones you earn hiking up are the ones you love the best IMO! Looks like it was a great hike to get up there. Happy trails!
Cool hike! We hiked around Gatlinburg last fall after the first damage had just happened. It was pretty bad in some areas, but others were untouched. And still beautiful. Glad to hear its starting to recover. Thanks for the video!
Thanks! It was pretty tough at the start, but well worth the trip up! I actually didn't see anymore fire damage that I can recall in any of the other places we went to - so I'm glad I stopped to get the video for it here! Sp they are recovering nicely.
That looked a hot sweaty (humid) climb. Worthy high up views are a great reward. A tough gig to carry camp out equipment, you'd have to choose wisely (have enough water). Subbed!
It really was! It started out tough and then kept going straight up the entire time. This one seemed pretty steep compared some of the other big hikes I'be done. Yeah, you would really have to choose wisely if you wanted to carry a pack up!
Beautiful trail! I don’t think we’ve hiked in South Carolina. Looks like we need to go! You’re seeing the same fire we did in Gatlinburg. Interesting. That was a pretty bad wildfire they had that year. Glad the woods are able to recover. Its always fun to climb up those rock, though very challenging! Great hike!
This was a great little trail - pretty steep the whole time though. Yes, there are some beautiful hikes there. I know most people go to the beach part of SC, so it was nice to get to some places that other people don't always explore. Yep, that same fire made it pretty far down in that area.
Thanks so much! I am starting to figure out how to make better little by little! I'm glad it's starting to come through on video! Hopefully things will continue to get better and better each time!
Wow! That looks like a great place! SC is one of the few states on the eastern seaboard I haven't hiked in yet. That trail and those views make me want to plan trip down that way. Great Job, thanks for sharing!
It was a really good trail! Also check out my video of Caesars Head and Raven Cliff Falls. Kinda within that same region of the state, and also very pretty. If you liked this, I think that would appeal to you as well. Glad you enjoyed watching it!
Hiking is a lot of fun, and you always get to see some beautiful places! Make sure you start off easy - it's like any workout - start out slow and work yourself toward harder and higher climbs!
I love hiking & backpacking, so it was sad to see the destruction left behind by that forest fire. We certainly have our share of them here in California.
Oh yes, being in CA you know all too well about what fires can do. We are lucky to not have them very often on the east coast. For me, it was interesting to see some of the aftereffects as it's not something I've really seen. I have learned about it in ecology and how it (can) be good for a forest, but it does make things look pretty sad and dim for a while.
Awesome view from the top ! Thanks for taking us with you ! The go pro is good for vlogging but the DSLR will be better for the scenery. Next you'll be buying lens which can be expensive ! Thumbs up #22

Thanks! Haha yup - luckily I have two lens - the standard 18-55mm and I also have a 55-200mm, so I should have everything I need for the most part. Got to play with it a bit this weekend. I am in LOVE with it already!

I also read that it took 7 hours. I was moving hard and fast and it took me 4 hours. I would give it 4-5 hours to be safe. It's super steep to start with - so the hardest part is in the first hour or 1.5 hours.
Haha yup, there were some crazy parts to this trail for sure! It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't up hill the ENTIRE time, lol. That's what makes this trail hard I think (minus a couple spots that are actually more of a challenge to get up).
This is pretty awesome am not sure am planning to do this. I went on a hike on Mount Kenya ranges having not prepared you can only imagine my woes. I was limping terribly by the end of it. Seems like you did enjoy yourself 😀.. Also am on the train campaigning for a drone view from the top
Yes, hiking can be really bad if you aren't prepared. That's why I do so much when I go - start with something easy and get harder. That's one reason I was alone on this one - I was the only one really prepared for it. Wow, can't wait to see that video!
I pretty much became a mountain goat and did it in 5 hours. That's one reason I want huffing and puffing like a certain wolf we all know, lol. It was a really good hike though - but it was pretty intense going up. I say you would know within the first half hour if you wanted to continue or not as it goes from flat to steep almost immediately!
Yeah, but it was just in that area. None of the other parts I went to showed any signs of fire though - so that is good - although I know the area was effected quite a bit!
Yes I am! using a GoPro Hero 3+. I am getting a new DSLR (actually just arrived today) so I will be filming with that starting in January when I head to Mexico to film there! Hopefully you should see a difference. I hoping for improve video quality and more flexibility in my shots! Super excited to try it out and learn how to make my videos better!
I hear ya! Every time I see a video with a drone it makes me want one more and more. I know that I would use it a ton! I am excited though - my new camera just came in the mail today, so I am excited to start filming with that. Should give some better quality compared to just using the GoPro. I probably won't get much of a chance to film with it before I go to Mexico in January though - so you'll have to stay tuned for that!

Thank you very much! This was a really great hike - although I was uphill almost all the time without break! The views at the end were worth it though!
The most important thing to know before you go is to be prepared for a lot of constant uphill. It doesn't let up until you get to the false summit. You will also have to do stairs to start the hike. I found the first half hour to hour to be the hardest. If you have trekking poles, you may want to consider bringing them to help with the downhill parts. There are several parts (I think I showed most of them) where the trail requires you to climb small sections of slippery rock, so shoes or boots with grip will really help out. I always pack some granola bars and the like for an added energy boost as well. Most of the trail is straightforward and well marked. When you get to the top you'll see there are several lookout spots. The blazes to get from one to the other are painted on the ground (rock) not the trees. On the way back, I did loose the blazes once, so just note that they aren't always obvious. Nothing else stands out, so I hope you have a great hike! If you have any particular questions after this, feel free to ask!
yup, Krista was feeling under the weather after the last hard hike, so I ended up doing this one on my own! It was nice to get out and explore myself though!

Wow! Love the views and the waterfall! 7 hours is a pretty long trail but it's beautiful. Thanks for taking the trip up there to show us! Thumbs up 28

It only ended up taking me 5 hours (still) but I was working pretty hard to shave off the time! Thanks so much for watching! You guys rock.
Nothing better than a significant challenge and the completion of it. Way to go, man!

Thank you so much Zorica! It was a beautiful, but tiring trail! I am glad the views at the end were beautiful!

Oh wow, spectacular view, makes it definitely worth the hike! Great vlog!
Thank you so much! You are so right - sometimes it worth climbing up and down for 5 hours to get views like that!
What a sweet overlook and hike! Thanks for sharing Josh!
It was really beautiful once I got to the top! Thanks to much for all the comments and watching!
You are the second person I have seen doing a hike in South Carolina. I really am amazed how much beauty there is there. I had no ideal!
There are some great hikes there! I have a couple videos from the area that you would probably like. It really is beautiful. Mine are all from the western part of the state. Most people think of the eastern beach part is SC - and no one takes the time to explore the west!
worth the view ! 👍👍

Great views from the top. The ones you earn hiking up are the ones you love the best IMO! Looks like it was a great hike to get up there. Happy trails!
Yes, they were great views indeed! It's very true - it was really rewarding once I made it to the top!
Nice views atop that big hill. Huge moral crusher when you think you have made it but learn that you still have a ways to go!!! I felt for you dude!
Yes, there were some great views! Haha, yeah, I wasn't too pleased when I found out I wasn't at the top!
Cool hike! We hiked around Gatlinburg last fall after the first damage had just happened. It was pretty bad in some areas, but others were untouched. And still beautiful. Glad to hear its starting to recover. Thanks for the video!

Josh the Travel Guy That’s good. I remember it was really tough on them during the fires. Glad its getting better!
Yeah, you would really have to choose wisely if you wanted to carry a pack up!
it is a long trip, nice nature surroundings,
thanks for your great information for this park.
Yes, this was quite the long hike up. It was worth it though. Very beautiful trail all the way.

Josh the Travel Guy Haha, apparently i already left a comment for this video! Well I enjoyed it the second time too! :)
Great nature walk! it must be very tiring! nice waterfalls!
excellent video liked friend!
Thanks for watching! This one was quite hard, but well worth it for the views on the way up, and then the great views from the top!

Thanks so much! I am starting to figure out how to make better little by little! I'm glad it's starting to come through on video! Hopefully things will continue to get better and better each time!

You sound out of breath almost the entire time lol. Lovely views, Great Share!
Haha, it was a hard hike up!
Nice hike and view of the Table Rock mountain. I'm thinking to start my hiking too! I like the little falls my the bridge.
Hiking is a lot of fun, and you always get to see some beautiful places! Make sure you start off easy - it's like any workout - start out slow and work yourself toward harder and higher climbs!
Josh the Travel Guy oh ok thanks!
Love the cometary. Looks like an awesome hike!
It was an amazing hike! A lot of work, but the views at the end were well worth it!
Cool hike. Reward, the awesome view. Thumbs up!
The view was really worth the hike up! Thanks!
Terrific workout and a fantastic view as your reward!
It was quite the workout! Very steep most of the way which was alright - really made getting to the top a reward!
Hi , Loved to watch the nature trail -
You have a great informative channel- Subscribed 👍
Thank you so much! I have quite a bit of hiking videos, so I am glad you like them! I go to some great places with amazing views!

It was a fantastic hike! Were you in the mountain section of SC? I know most people who go there tend to visit the ocean side of the state!
wow! some awesome views there! great hiking🤗👍👀⭐️
The views were very rewarding indeed! Haha, it was a tough trail - but I was also going really fast - so that probably worked against me in a way, lol
Table Rock - How long does the hike take round trip? I thought I heard 7 hours but didn't think that could possibly be right.
I also read that it took 7 hours. I was moving hard and fast and it took me 4 hours. I would give it 4-5 hours to be safe. It's super steep to start with - so the hardest part is in the first hour or 1.5 hours.
Thanks for the info!
oh man, some crazy looking rock formations and butt-clinching drop-offs! Keep 'em coming dude!
Haha yup, there were some crazy parts to this trail for sure! It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't up hill the ENTIRE time, lol. That's what makes this trail hard I think (minus a couple spots that are actually more of a challenge to get up).
LOL, sometimes trails definitely seem to be uphill both ways.

Josh the Travel Guy I totally get it now. Though I doubt I have enough material for a video. Altitude sickness got the better of me.
So how long did it actually take you to get to the summit of Table Rock? Wow amazing view 👍👍👍
Beautiful views, but that looked like hard work!
Haha yes it was hard work getting up that mountain! There were a lot of little tricky parts in addition to the uphill portions!
Absolutely stunning
Yes, loved the views from the top! Well worth the effort to get to the top!
Beautiful nature!
It was a great hike up! Love the views from the top!
awesome video! new to your channel:) keep up the great work!
Welcome!! Thanks for checking out the video! Glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing you around the page again!
Wow amazing!!
Thanks! The views from the top were a good reward for the hard hike!
Quite a bit of fire damage through there, eh? Shame. Good to see there are decent mountains in SC too! :) And yeah, I hate false summits too!
Yeah, but it was just in that area. None of the other parts I went to showed any signs of fire though - so that is good - although I know the area was effected quite a bit!
Hi Josh! love your nature footages, are you using an action camera? i can see it based on the sharpness of your footages
Yes I am! using a GoPro Hero 3+. I am getting a new DSLR (actually just arrived today) so I will be filming with that starting in January when I head to Mexico to film there! Hopefully you should see a difference. I hoping for improve video quality and more flexibility in my shots! Super excited to try it out and learn how to make my videos better!

Yes it really was a good workout! lol
Great job👍👍
Besides lots of water what else did you pack to get you up there and back comfortably?
