Paint the target, put an aiming point on the steel, fire a few shots, go measure the group size to see how the rifle and that ammo is doing accurately. Just banging a goo's size target at 200 or 300 yards doesn't mean very much. For a long range round a .338 Laupa hitting a 100 in plate or circle at 300 yards shouldn't be much of a challenge. Grouping 1.5 inches at 300 is beginning to show a good cimbination.
Make sure you unwrap the barrel where you have it wrapped all the way around the chassis. And make sure the wrap is not touching/bridging the gap between the barrel and chassis anywhere else. It will mess with the barrel harmonics and affect accuracy. I shoot 338 lap. Too and you don't want to waste expensive ammo!
