Sogetsu Ikebana Summer Fruit, Nuts, Berries and Beans Arrangements 2018

We had no rain all summer, and then in one day we had a whole summer’s rain! It flooded some parts of Canberra.
Due to the lack of rain, I’ve seen some kangaroos and their joeys visiting people’s gardens to look for grass. I feel very sorry for them. But in Australia, drought is not uncommon. Hopefully we will have some decent rainfall during this autumn.
The scent of my Osmanthus flowers is intoxicating and still lingering on. I have really enjoyed watching my Tupelo tree change colour, but it lost its leaves all too soon.
