Because you would not be competitive. Everyone cuts for the weigh in and then rehydrate after. If you compete at a higher weight class, those bigger guys your competing with cut as well and then rehydrate 15-20 lbs more for comp.
This shows you never competed in any weight class. Everyone cuts for weigh in unless you compete in the Open or Super Heavy where weight does not matter.
