I love how this season doesn’t rely on supernatural entities or beings just straight up real life. The clowns basically represent the clown sightings from 2016, and of course election and politics. This world is much more scary than any ghost or demon.
Similar concept with SAW. I consider the SAW series to be the most scariest because anyone can do it. You don’t need that much to replicate SAW.
I'm watching over AHS at this point, and the problem with the season is that while it relies on real life, it's *too* topical. Everything major in this season is pulled from everything within a single year span, and watching over it makes it feel *incredibly* dated, and not in a charming way like a period piece.

I love the intro. I think it’s because the violins and trumpets. It’s catchy.
The instrument playing in the background makes this opening more creepy and the fact this season felt so realistic it actually scared me

Yeah and I even found this season much scarier than Roanoke or Hotel or Apocalypse because of how (some topics and matters) were true to life and could reflect on us people.
The characters and the plot was overly predictable. It was snooze fest. Plus children ruin horror movies when done wrong.

Y'all people don't get it, do you? The reason why they made the song using trumpets this season was to make it sound patriotic and American because, ya know, this season is about America... I love this opening sequence but I do feel they are hiding some things for the premiere.

The feel and tone of this theme intro reminded me of Freak Show. An inventive use of musicality and imagery to create suspense and fear. The trumpets and marching band were nice touches.

This is by far the best version of the opening song, I love the horns. This is also one of the scariest seasons closely followed by freak show, hotel, asylum, coven,and Murder house respectively. The only season I didn't really like obviously was Roanoke though I do like Cathy Bates
Kathy Bates, one of the most best actress I know of.
The opening sequences of all of these shows are always much scarier than the shows themselves.

My theory behind why there aren't many names there: maybe each episode someone joins the cult, and their name will appear in the title sequence once they join?

Probably not, AHS was never the type of show to include or exclude names from the title sequence, especially considering the run time. If the new character joins the show or dies and doesn't appear anymore, their name would still appear despite not making an appearance

I actually like the intro. It fits into a different style theme and focuses on what America could be made up of since it started. But I'm sad some cast members never made the titles like Emma Roberts..hopefully their might be more?

They did Adina Porter dirty again. She was in every episode in Roanoke but she was considered a "Supporting/Reoccurring" role. Now that she signed onto do another season she was still shafted to a supporting and didn't get an upgrade like how Angela Basset and Lily Rabe did, while newcomers like Billie Lourd and Allison Pill who never been on the show get their name on there? Gj Murphy, your favoritism is showing
I'm sure they'll give her credit eventually. I think she did great last season. I'm just upset that some of the main franchise cast isn't coming back; Kathy and Angella aren't coming back I believe

Honestly, this season has been so thought provoking and interesting so far. I think this is definitely the first season to earn the right to be called an “American Horror Story” because the horror and themes are so much more relevant to current times than all the previous seasons COMBINED. Love this show, and this season is on its way to becoming my favorite.

Ok but the title isn't at the end. What if the last few cast members names and the actual title card have been cut because there are some very well-kept secrets about the cast. Because every season has had a "and ________" and most have had a "with _______" So who could it be? Lady Gaga? Jessica Lange?
There were rumors she might actually return. But I doubt they would be hiding her name because even if the rumors are true, it won't be a main role. But there is a rumor she filmed something in between A Star is Born and the Joanne World Tour
Whoever they are, they definitely aren't the ones that were confirmed already. I'm hoping maybe Dennis or Angela. Or someone so surprising that we have to wait until the premiere to see.

I'm really loving this intro! I think this season has a lot of disparate yet fun ideas being mixed together - cults, the election, hives, and clowns - it looks like this one's gonna be at the very least interesting!

I like this intro cuz there's so much detail in every little clip
Last season was really good and honestly I thought the idea was fresh and TRULY scary. It felt real. The cast was strong and it SUCKED we didn't get an opening credit. This one is....interesting but it really is a bummer only 5 people are listed as regulars and it's not a strong group. Sarah and Evan better carry this whole season. Cheyenne is a good actor but we'll see. Francis and Mare Winningham are back which is awesome and God I hope Angela comes back for at least one episode. She could really lead this whole thing. Man I don't have high hopes for this season though.

Dolly Dagger I did. But the only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t feel bad for any of the characters. For some reason I didn’t have a favorite except for Jessica Lange but only her, not her character. The story line was ok.

I have been watching this show since the beginning & it hasn't let me down yet.. I wholeheartedly believe that this season will have me on the edge of my seat! Thank you Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters & especially Ryan Murphy for making me a huge fan.. Hopefully they kill Lena Dunham's character within the first 2 episodes because I can do without her!

i'm pretty sure this is just a first-edition intro. there are many spots, if timed right, where an actors name can be printed (0:30, 0:39, 0.43 and i'm sure more..) and i highly doubt the potential "final version" will read "AHS: Cult" at the end, but will read "American Horror Story: Cult".

I think Cult is one of the best AHS seasons. The plot and setting was really good and I found it more uncomfortable to watch than past seasons. I think it’s because of the realism.
All the other AHS seasons have some form of supernatural threat causing problems which add to the story. Cult doesn’t have that. All the threats in this season are caused by humans and it makes it realistic as this could happen in real life
And now in 2024, with what’s going on, oh man I don’t have much hope for the future

I was very pleasantly surprised by this season. I thought it was gonna be a one-sided political commentary; but they did a really good job outlining the problems on all sides of the current political situation. I wouldn’t say this was my favorite season (that goes to Coven), but it was definitely in my top 3. Very good!
