It's also worth a mention that in the 50s to 60s Preston and Blackpool had Tom Finney and Stanley Matthews respectively, two of the best English footballers to ever grace the game, who stayed at their clubs for over a decade and fought countless derbies against each other. The fans paid to see those two alone aside from the derby.
And to this day fans still argue who was the better player (We all know it was the Preston Plumber)
Would have been unreal to have witnessed they two!

Watched this @ 10am Monday morning 2 days after the win, it brought all the excitement back and my blood is rushing again. Thank you for covering the the whole event, that’s a hell of a journey. It’s a shame more fans didn’t want to give predictions, I can only guess it was pre match nerves. The lasher you interviewed did not do a good job of explaining what it means. To put it into context, the game was on my mind at least seven days before and the Friday night I couldn’t sleep and woke up very early Saturday, the anticipation makes you feel sick. Anyway What a day, what a win, incredible. 👍👍👍👍

Glad you enjoyed your day out and glad North End put on a show for you your right about the pies on match day there crap you will have to try a meat and potato or butter pie from a decent pie shop in Preston they are top quality if you ever come to Preston again just down road from the railway station there’s a shop called Paul’s pies on fisher gate hill 🥧 give that a whirl good for your soul ✌️⚽️⚽️
Arguably the best pies in Preston in my opinion, defo get to Paul’s Pies. Just turn left out the train station and just through the traffic lights on the right you’ll find the shop, just follow the lush smell of the pies and you’ll get a pie that shows that FRAUD Heathcote up 😉

As a Preston fan I have to say the ratings are very fair, fans have consistently complained about the garbage food they provide at the ground which is supposedly provided by a Michelin Star chef, GIVE OVER. loved the video mate and you defiantly need to try a Butter Pie but head to the Town End side of the ground and go to the potato van and give the Parched Peas with plenty of vinegar a go mate. Have to apologise for the nobber neighbours getting a bit carried away but you have to remember that when we couldn’t send our convicts and retards to Australia anymore we sent then to Preston instead ….and when you eat chips for every meal followed by pale ale and while away the time sat peacefully with a cardboard box on your head playing with ya todger then a win over the mighty Poool is a big thing but the result will be different next time as our east stand is now planned along with a new training ground at £38 million and £16 million so the momentum will be back with us soon Nobbers ….all you need to know is a million buys a lot of chips and put that cardboard box back on now !!.

Blackpool had one failed season in prem, looked totally out of their depth, got embarrassed then slid all the way back down again. They can't even maintain themselves at championship level. We've hardly been out of the championship the past 20 years, aside from one dodgy season when we dropped. But it didn't take long to get back. And when we do go up we will make a much better go than you lot did. How a club lives on the glory of one dismal season in the Premier is pretty pathetic. Come back when you've won the title. Mickey mouse club with a mickey mouse stadium and utter scumbag fans. The shame of Lancashire. The 'town' of smackheads, brasses, and rent boys. A truly foul place. Least we won't have them near our great 'city' next term. Enjoy league 1. At least you're back home now. With your glorious memories of getting slaughtered in the Premier.

This atmosphere destroyed the effort blackpool made. On a totally different level. Blackpool will always be mickey mouse. They dont belong with us or the other lancs founder members. Bpool are just like a cheapy modern build house. No history and no character and a lot of plastic.
