I must be goofy but I love watching logs get cut up! I’m an old lady enjoying the possibilities for the wood. I have an antique dresser made of cherry 🍒. I love the patina it’s gotten over the years. Thanks for sharing your talents with us! Matt you’re fabulous at what you do.
It is so cool to see your enthousiasm for wacky logs that other mills often consider too troublesome or too low in quality. You see the beauty in every piece of tree
I have terrible arthritis in my knees and the past few days have not been good. Watching this video was a welcome distraction from the pain. Thanks for posting Matt.
I am a middle age lady that finds your videos really relaxing to watch. Love seeing the beauty of the wood when you drench the boards with water. This video really showed how close your neighbors are located. I would think at times they did not find the sounds coming from your yard so relaxing and will be glad when you move the saw mill to your new property. Have a great 2021
I had an agreement with a neighbor that used to saw logs. Make all the noise you want, I’ll even help clean up, but I get some bark cut for firewood. Never paid for firewood for 2 years, not until another neighbour complained to the city, not about the noise, but all of the cut boards in his yard.
Matt has a little attitude. Glad you had a good day!!!! It was fun listening to you harass John. Missed the LIVE today, but HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your lovely family. :)
That was awesome watching you turn all those logs into usable milled lumber !! Thanks for sharing with us Matt. I know you’ll be glad to get everything moved out to your new property and not be in such tight quarters. Be safe and have fun. 👍👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Should call this video, "Matt Unplugged." I should be firing up my first and brand new sawmill today! Big day! Thanks Matt for sawing some mere mortal logs others of us are relegated to mill. Every log is perfect just the way it is. Happy New Year!
Matthew I love watching you work. Your love for wood is beautiful. May you always succeed and love every second. The old maple tree limb you all cut was the best.👏👏
One of the few videos that I watch all the way through. Like the fact that you do the weird logs. Some very nice slabs out of the cherry. Would like to see the guitars after he gets them done. Keep it up. Have a wonderful New Year.
The interior of most of the logs I've seen you cut have amazing patterns. It makes me think of all the projects I could do with access to that kind of wood.
Thus us my absolute favorite episode of all> Awesome wood and tons of rapport and humor. Great combination of wood and people. Thank you for making my day today!
Sitting here, watching the video, and my wife asks what I’m watching. Me: “I’m watching Matt Cremona saw up a bunch or Cherry and Walnut. He cuts, and then throws water on the wood so we can see the beautiful grain”. Wife: “So your watching wood porn?!” Me: “😳... yep”
What is so inspiring is that your techniques get more and more sophisticated over the years. P.S. One sawer when cutting cedar actually collects the sawdust and sells it.
Thanks Matt & Lindsay , you guys help make this past year tolerable . You guys have a great New Year as well . That Cherrie log came from Michigan , there are a lot of hidden treasures like that one that people have growing in there yards , mostly in the middle of the state ( around the counties that I live in. )
Those walnut boards will make a nice table top (for John)--could really see the purple color on the grain-end. Nice day for sawing logs. John is pretty good with a camera, and Matt is aces on the bandsaw mill.
34:24 Matthew needs a new bucket. Let’s all send him a bucket, best one wins the honour of being used for the water toss, the rest will kickstart his new bucket business. #1000bucketsformatt
I totally enjoy your channel. Your enthusiasm for what you do should encourage others to do the things they enjoy. I will start traveling early this year. I will try to visit your area. Grandpa Jack
Been watching on and off as time permits. Enjoy your videos and workmanship. I've been doing some alaskan machine milling myself and enjoy it but time and work intensive.
I don’t think I’ve ever watch one of your videos I did not like I’ve enjoyed them all and thank you for making them. And another great video and yes I laughed a lot 👍👍👍😂🤣😂
I don't think it was the small logs as much as it was Jon had no clue what he wanted to get from the logs. I think Matt knew all this wood would be brought home and wasted by numerous mistakes made when working with the wood he spent time and energy cutting up
@@tylersmith9868 seeing into the furture eh? I have teak shelves and I love them. Its just shelves and they remind me of where they came from. I see nothing wrong with making shelves. I cant say what Matt was thinking unless he says it on the video , writes it in the description or in a comment.
I'm addicted to you videos!! I don't care what the subject is they are entertaining and informative. You are one clever and knowledgeable guy!!!!! I'm an 80 year old gal and wish that I had studied carpentry instead of going to school for clothing design. In my day "girls"
Normally when you talk about the 2-3ft wide boards I can't even imagine them, with these "tiny" pieces you're getting pieces that are still 6-10in wider than the typical board I have access to! I definitely have to visit the eastern US sometime just to see this massive stuff!
Loved it Matt, about like opening presents, you never know what your going to get. Except when your thinking... has Matt got his log stops up?...Oh no, he dosen't...lol Lika a steam roller baby!! #lovethecrotch
I'm sure it's been talked about, but I can't understand that the neighbours haven't thrown you out years ago hahaha!!!!! Looking forward to following you on your new 'Patch'. I love the new place, just what I would love!!!! Happy New Year
Watching you cut those lots into useable lumber for Jon makes me wish we lived closer. There are a lot of folks in the area who cut and sell slabs, etc., but they are NOT woodworkers. They are doing this for money, which is okay. But unlike the woodworker, they don't understand the needs of the woodworker and don't know how to work with them. It's made it difficult getting the wood I need for specific projects. You plainly know how to cut wood for a woodworker. Regards, Dave
I think he had other things he wanted or needed to do that day but just couldn't say no. And then they showed up with a lot of logs and no idea of how they wanted them cut or what they were going to be used for which makes it even more difficult for Matt. I sure hope they made it worth his while.
I really like the was John films you. I hope that he edited it and did all the prep work too. Maybe then he can make up for not helping you cut up his logs! Lol. It was good of his dad to help, kind of. I mean damn, I hope you charged them Lol. Another great video Matt, showcasing your work ethic and personality. Keep it up! And HAPPY NEW YEAR buddy!!
Hey Matt........what you see as little sticks I see lots of sofa tables and serving trays, those type of things I can do. Happy New Year to you and your family
That was really good ! The sawmill that I use here in Vietnam has a big sacrificial slab that they pound spikes into to keep the smaller pieces from moving around they just pound in a couple spikes and then pull them out with a crowbar
Seems your old bucket just could not take any more drama! LOL New year new bucket? Good show. Happy New Year! Did a hose come with the new place? Just kidding.
Hope your New Year is off to a great start!
Michigan Cherry is the best! 😉
I’m building my new shop. It’s still small ( 8,1 x 5,3 m with 2,7 m ceiling )but bigger than my previous one. :)
That was a VERY strong yeld! I think John snuck in one of your logs when you wasn't looking. 😂

Hi Theresa, you are as goofy as everybody who watches the channel :)
Cheers!
Hi Theresa. I’m 82 yr. Old widow and I love watching these videos. The different woods are gorgeous.
Yes. Old lady here wishing I could get some of that wood. The possibilities are endless. Beautiful wood.

My neighbors who would frequently sit out in their lawn chairs and watch me work found it relaxing. Hope you have a wonderful year!
I had an agreement with a neighbor that used to saw logs. Make all the noise you want, I’ll even help clean up, but I get some bark cut for firewood. Never paid for firewood for 2 years, not until another neighbour complained to the city, not about the noise, but all of the cut boards in his yard.
Man, that was one load of beautiful wood. Made me drool thinking of that straight Cherry making 40 inch panels with just two boards.
thanks Matt for making stuff that makes my day feel like somewhere someone has a sort of normal life
Much appreciated, Tyler!
That's some nice material, always good to see it not rot or turn into firewood
Great video . That's a lot of wood ! At least y'all got to have some laugh's and Jon's father got to work more than he expected .
Really enjoy your comments and the way you enjoy what your doing.
Larry from Idaho
Happy 2022, Matt. I can't believe I'm spending hours watching you saw 4/4, 8/4 and yet, I can't stop.
Matt has a little attitude. Glad you had a good day!!!! It was fun listening to you harass John. Missed the LIVE today, but HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your lovely family. :)
Loved the comment about the smell. Fresh cherry smells wonderful. Nice work and just beautiful boards.

Loved listening to Matt talk non-stop. I wish I could hang out with him for a day...
Wow, some really beautiful stuff in those logs, especially that guitar body slab. Really enjoyed this one!
Jon did a nice job filming this.
If he didn't he wouldn't have contributed at all
“Jon is the camera, the camera is Jon” made me laugh earned you a solid like!
"Jon is the camera. The camera is Jon" ... said by someone with his own picture on his sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is Matt. Matt is the sweatshirt.
Hahahaha this is very true

Also, I love the cinematic approach! Helps to see a different side of you and your work!
Wood is like opening a treasure chest, you had some unique pieces. Enjoyed watching you work.
Great video, and great looking wood. Thanks for sharing. God Bless.

How I enjoyed that. To see each look bring out another colour/forms, beautiful. Thanks guys.💕
Great video.
I really enjoy your knowledge, your smile and how well you interact with the camera.
Happy New Year!
That was a pot full with an aching shoulder day WOW what a load. Beautiful wood!

That and talking about figure!
Would like to see the finished results from these cuts!
WOW, the table he will get out of that tree will be awesome!!
Thanks for sharing that, happy new year for and to All
The tables and other projects in the first stages; lovely! Dreams are made of this hard work! Thanks
What is so inspiring is that your techniques get more and more sophisticated over the years.
P.S. One sawer when cutting cedar actually collects the sawdust and sells it.
Happy new year to you and your family Matt!
That last crotch would have made a great bowl for someone who turned bowls, those slabs and some acrylic would make some great tables
Matt you need definitely a new bucket! it's look like you have lost your magic touch with water splashes 🤣 happy new year you and family from Italy ✌️
I’ve watched about 60 of your vids and this is the first one where you’re cocky.
You seem to be having fun and it’s fun to watch.

Great job Mat!, Some really beautiful Cuts. Love the clear cherry!...But the crotch cuts on the Oak,,,Beautiful markings!

Matt: "Time to add a new bucket to my bucket list."

Would love to see Jon's Dad's workshop and what he does with that wood.
Been watching on and off as time permits. Enjoy your videos and workmanship. I've been doing some alaskan machine milling myself and enjoy it but time and work intensive.

I agree - very fun to watch. The wood is fascinating! Always enjoy your videos. Happy New Year!

Thank you!
Great colour out of that dark walnut and cherry!
Matt showing off his Canadian ball busting roots today
I had fun, thank you, and Happy New Year!
Very enjoyable to watch. Good way to start 2021!
Happy New year Matt, love your work!
Thank you!
I liked the last one best! Beautiful!
The last walnut one that is!
There was much snarkiness at the mill that day. Tiny logs bring that out in the owner/operator.
Came for the milling. Stayed to hear Matt mock Jon incessantly.
How far did Jon drive for all the snark?
I don't think it was the small logs as much as it was Jon had no clue what he wanted to get from the logs. I think Matt knew all this wood would be brought home and wasted by numerous mistakes made when working with the wood he spent time and energy cutting up

One thing about this fella, he’s happy! I wish I was as happy as this guy!
Agreed.
I love to hear your mill run!....
A good video of a great day sawing with friends. Does not get much better than that. Nice cherry log. Wish our cherry in Texas was that large.
When the last log rolled off the other side I knew this was a long day. There was some very interesting pieces in that trailer.
Really enjoyed the walnut cuts!
A lot of cool toys. Lucky man.
thank you Matt. have a great new year to you and yours
Thanks Walter; you too!
Great show... you to John...
I think the cherry grain color is awesome! ME LIKEY :)
Happy New Year of Hope in 2021. Thanks for sharing.

I just love honest hard physical work - just like Jon, I could watch it all day! ;)
Hahahaha
"It's all punky and mushy but look at the color." Matt loves his work!
Love the camera work! Thanks, Jon (2/1/21)
I'm sure it's been talked about, but I can't understand that the neighbours haven't thrown you out years ago hahaha!!!!! Looking forward to following you on your new 'Patch'. I love the new place, just what I would love!!!! Happy New Year

Love the camaraderie. Beautiful boards.
😄
I saw some mineral figured poplar on out of the woods today and boy would I like some of that for a guitar body!
Good clamp. I'll bet you have a lot of fun with your Bobcat-like rig.
Matt was pretty good at pretending to not mind sawing these logs.
I agree. Matt was not a happy camper.
I think he had other things he wanted or needed to do that day but just couldn't say no. And then they showed up with a lot of logs and no idea of how they wanted them cut or what they were going to be used for which makes it even more difficult for Matt. I sure hope they made it worth his while.

My wife asked me if I'm bored (on lockdown) cos I'm watching this. And best sweatshirt ever!
Cherry and Walnut logs when you cutting and after you through water and Grain and colour coming out it was a amazing .
Matt that is some very nice Cherry and by the way I think you've built yourself a beautiful life.
Thank you!
