UNIVERSITY ROCKET HITS MACH 1.5! | Kanagawa University's Epic Launch

The Kanagawa University Space Rocket Club conducted a launch test of a hybrid rocket at Fukushima on December 14, 2024.
The altitude record was about 10 km, which could not surpass the record of 2021 (10.1 km), but it achieved a supersonic flight with a maximum speed of Mach 1.5 and landed on the water within the security circle simulated in advance. It also succeeded in separation, parachute deployment, receipt of positional information, and recovery of most of the fuselage, which it had failed to accomplish in the previous launch, bringing it one step closer to establishing a more reliable launch technology.
