I enjoy and completely support the nature knows best mentality. First year beekeeper and multi year chicken keeper where we let the hens hatch out the new chicks in the spring. Wanting to do similar with bees; give them what they need and support them in what they are doing. Thank you for all you do!
We have a lot of beekeepers around here but people are scared of bee clubs and inspectors. The inspectors here in Arkansas are super nice people and will help you in any way they can. If you have something wrong in your hives they will help you get it under control.

Good to hear. Our inspection program here in Illinois is good too
David, love watching all your videos. Do you do zoom calls for speaking at bee clubs? Would love to have you speak at my club sometime this next year.
All the time. I speak at many conferences in person and I do many zoom meetings. Email me at honeybeesonline.com@gmail.com
I would love to join your live streams more, but at 3am here in South Africa, it's not always possible. I really appreciate your teachings.
Thanks for watching
I've heard frames need to be changed every 2 to 3 years (they turn brown/ black). Any advice on when to change a hive?
2-3 years might be a bit too often but somewhere between 5-10 year they should be checked.
Hello, do you have a problem with hornets? How do you protect your hives from hornets?
Every now and again but the bees deal with them just fine.
