This video should be required to be watched by anybody mounting beadlocks! I struggled in the past and it was no different when I upgraded the wheels on my new FMS Jimny; three came out pretty good but one wobbled too much for my liking. After i watched the video I disassembled them all and it was clearly visible where the foams were pinched. Following the instructions I trimmed the foams and it was amazing how easy the tires and rims went together this time. All 4 wheels are looking good now and are running true.
Thank you Chris, great information! 👍👍
Ha! Great comment! Great to hear you disassembled to find out what was happening. The foams will tell you! Yes! Glad you're rolling flat now! haha
Either a clock, pacemaker or bomb is ticking away in the background 😂
Great tutorial, guess I have some trimming to do now!
Ha! I have an actual clock. The one with 2 hands. LOLLL
this video was what i needed so bad...i built a heavy trail truck and i tried some 3d incerts and lets just say the truck was waddling like a duck and it drove me so crazyyy..i was able to get the crazy crawler foams and watched this video and this video was whaat i needed..big thanks on the break down and it helped me out so much....appreciate it...
Glad I could help!
Awesome Chris!!
Thanks!!
happy new year Chris - nice and good informations thx
Happy new year!
I've never cut an angle in my foams for my beadlocks and I use many different foams and wheels
Give it a try and see if it's better or not.
Thank you! Great tutorial as always! 👍🏽
My pleasure!
Is "squishy " a technical term in Canada?
lol. great advice buddy. I do this with all me foams now thanks to you.
You bet! EH!
when will you get the scx10 motor mount back?
Awesome bud. Which BFGs are those Rc4wd?
ProLine
Your front to rear foam theory is backwards but other than that it was a good video.
I'm interested to test this out. My reasoning for this (possibly backwards) is I wanted the steering wheels (front) would have the tightest sidewalls and tread, for best steering. It's possible this won't climb well, I'm excited to try it out!
So then no criss cross pattern just go in a circle to tighten them down that doesn't seem right
The hole pattern is 6, so I used 3 bolts in a pattern, yes. Turning down each screw only a small amount every round. It clamps very flat, and not all one side. The tabs on the inner ring don't seem strong enough to use only 2 screws for the bead seating... so I used 3 instead.
Love the AMC hate
Yeah! Great old cars
Yes they are I have a 1974 gremlin
