The lag is definitely noticeable on Android 9. I had one before on Oreo. Then recently I snagged one to add to my collection, but it came with 9 out of the box. The lag definitely ruins the experience.
The difference especially in multitasking is incredible. We also got a g6 and it's lagging quite often. You think it could be caused by android 9? Or you think the result in your vid was just coincidence?
It's laggier even inside apps, chrome for example lags more on Android 9 or when transitioning between apps. Also another thing I noticed on Android 9 is that the speaker is quieter (not a big difference though).
the one on 9 is connected to the network. should have tested both phones without network and purely on WiFi for true comparison. but otherwise I'd agree that G6 is better off on 8 than 9.
