Great job at the Aimchess Rapid. The game against Wesley was something else. We were all rooting for you! And then we get content like this. Thanks, Dayna!
That was an incredible performance in the Aimchess rapid tournament Danya. And that win against Wesley was a win for the ages. Hope you continue doing what you do
When I don't feel like playing chess, I come and watch these videos, have a great time, and then I feel like playing chess again. Thanks for the outrageously good and consistent content!
Seems like black was completely caught off guard getting attacked on the kingside with black in the KID. They were probably thinking 'wait a moment that's not what I learned' 🤣
I'm a total beginner but I've tried my hand with the averbakh. I'm so glad you reviewed it here. I'm also happy to see that I got the main ideas right with the king side attack, castling long, locking up the center, etc. Great class!
Congrats for the Aimchess tour! I will definetely remember the tour that one of my favorite chess youtubers played against some of my heroes! You did very good!
Threading in the Kasparov Petrosian game and your own world youth game on the fly to illustrate real time learning points in a blitz game... what a wonderful teacher.
Excellent playing strategy!: Not only did you play absolutely thrilling chess, you played well enough to nearly squeeze in. The really elegant aspect of this strategy is that it also enhances the likelihood you’ll be invited to more events like this. Which is what you deserve. We are excited to see you in more events like Aimchess.
Tigran Petrosian once said that he could feed his whole family playing against the King's Indian Defence. Apparently, he could play it well with the black pieces too! Playing f4 in this game was hard to see for an intermediate/class player. Great content again Danya, love everything you post.
Amazing game, and that game against Wesley was great. For all that I really like Wesley I was rooting for you the whole time and you produced a fabulous game.
28:20 I, being intimately acquainted with the greatest defensive efforts of Tigran Petrosian, also found it hilarious to move the king to the center, Danya. Your lesson, however, changed my mind.
Danya: you guys might be looking at this with a little bit of confusion Me: every chess game I play Danya: I wanna see what happens Me: yup, every game
was cool seeing you compete in aimchess rapid and give some super GMs a run for their money. Respect and thanks for the king's indian content, my favourite opening
I am 2000 range and this series is starting to be quite interesting, much appreciated danya. Great job on the recent tournament success, I hope you crack the super GM level and stay there. You deserve it.
@5:44 I wonder if another possibility would be to sac your dark square bishop by playing B:H6? Black wouldn't be able to capture with the King because our bishop is defended by our Queen. If he takes our bishop with his own we could then play pawn to G5 forking the Knight and Bishop.
Hi Dana, nice vid, hope you're doing great today, I would like to see you play the French defense with black against e4, we never saw you play it on a speed run.
day 34 of saying you're the man danya! Your content is literally super frickin epic, and I can't get enough of it. You are one of the best players in the world, and hands down the best teacher. Thank you thank you thank you.
“Im in a positional move” moments later… “now theres a positional line, or we could go for his throat, ill show you the positional line after the game” lmao 💀
Danya seems to be mistaken about 6...Qe8 being the most popular response to the Averbakh. The lichess database only has 13 games with it, and the top one was won by a Naroditsky, D.
As someone in the 1800 range I would love to see a video similar to some of your early ones in the series where you try to make it back from a blunder. Say, being down an exchange or hanging a pawn for no comp. Other than that, thanks for the series!
@@ChessJourneyman I said an exchange and pawns. Not losing a piece for nothing. Nevertheless, as an 1800 I've had opponents hang their queen for nothing. I don't think you're anything near 1800 if you don't know at this level serious errors are still commonly made.
Also if you're looking on how to come back for a blunder, I'd say piece activity, play quickly, and look for tricks - you're playing humans, and they scare easily, so if you can muster an attack, or get a complex position it's possible they'll blunder back. Alternately, if you activate your pieces as much as possible, it's possible to trap your opponent's, meaning although they're up in material, they can't actually use their advantage
14:55 did someone in the chat seriously think they could have done better here? That really ticks me off, but Danya was really nice about it. Just shows the kind of guy he is.

He will. And I will as well. We both will, you have my word.

It’s amazing that we live in a time where all these super strong players post free instructive content for us to learn.
Absolute gem of chess channel
I love how Danya is showing out in the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. So much fun to watch that as well as this speedrun!
When I don't feel like playing chess, I come and watch these videos, have a great time, and then I feel like playing chess again. Thanks for the outrageously good and consistent content!
Danya is constantly introducing us to some of the most painful experiences of his life. What a brave man!
Master teacher. I love the historical context of some of the positions reached. Thanks for all the great content!

Averbakh sounds like a really good beer.
"Hey buddy what you drinkin?"
"Averbakh."
"Nice!"
Threading in the Kasparov Petrosian game and your own world youth game on the fly to illustrate real time learning points in a blitz game... what a wonderful teacher.
Thanks as always for providing this great chess content that helps all levels!

Hey Daniel, thanks for these videos 2 weeks ago I was playing with 10% accuracy, last game got 83% all thanks to these videos! Cheers

Nice to see Danya showing his insights from other games as well.
That was very sportmanlike of you to congratulate magnus on that great checkmate.
Great content! I love your teaching style and how you break everything down. Appreciate the knowledge!
The name of the opening comes from putting the Bishop on e2 so if the queens face off the bishop will... "Averbakh"
thank you
Danya: you guys might be looking at this with a little bit of confusion
Me: every chess game I play
Danya: I wanna see what happens
Me: yup, every game

wished you made the quarter finals :( keep grinding the tournaments, love to see you competing.

Daniel, you are an artist on the 64 squares.
That attack was on of the most beautiful i have seen...
Fun fact Yuri Averbakh is the oldest GM in the world he is almost 100
He is so old that Tal got his GM norm when they played in lile 1950s
He sadly died tho
"Sorry to spend so long on this moment but I think it's important to understand the position" ... don't be sorry, your analysis is invaluable!
I have engineering lecture but I love watching GM Danyas chess lectures

Perfect timing I was just watching you play live
Hi Dana, nice vid, hope you're doing great today, I would like to see you play the French defense with black against e4, we never saw you play it on a speed run.
4:25 this fair in and I havnt read any comments but reckon this is a going to be a beautiful game
Nice, new upload. Not a Twitch user so thank you for providing the goldies.
day 34 of saying you're the man danya! Your content is literally super frickin epic, and I can't get enough of it. You are one of the best players in the world, and hands down the best teacher. Thank you thank you thank you.
Nice and instructive Game danya, new sub win
I love Eric, Levy, Adagmator, all those dudes. But no one brings the content like The Prophet.
The ability to be early is insignificant next to the power of the force
Another great analysis.. You make chess look easy.. Thank you..
TREMENDOUS! 👌
Thank you, Danya. Very cool game.
Next can you play the improved French which you've spoken of before?
19:20 same'ish saemisch
We like the pawns, the pawns that go "boom"
I find danya and Eric rosen videos great for falling asleep
Being old is tough (© MC). They try to make your brain work. Looks like your brain is not trained enough to handle the load. For the safety it gets into the sleep mode. Just train it to fight the oncoming dementia, to fight the covid-related mental things.
Rosen for sure, he speaks so calmly 😅
Simply brilliant, Danya👏👏👏
“Im in a positional move” moments later… “now theres a positional line, or we could go for his throat, ill show you the positional line after the game” lmao 💀
Girl: why do you keep asking to change to doggy?
Danya: “I’m in a positional mood for some reason”
Danya seems to be mistaken about 6...Qe8 being the most popular response to the Averbakh. The lichess database only has 13 games with it, and the top one was won by a Naroditsky, D.
Wow that guy sounds like a loser who doesn’t make super instructional chess content
I really like what you do Daniel, thanks for the content
Just pulled off the general scheme in my own game :) thanks for the tips!
I felt I learned a lot in this video, went to played a game, lost the game, remained at 200 elo.
You did a great job in aimchess rapid tournament defying the odds. Hope to see you play in these tournaments and expect some very good chess.
19:18 so you're saying we ended up in a very same-ish position
Ah yesssss the infamous chessmate in one lol
This speedrun is gonna become legendary in a few years, mark my words.
As someone in the 1800 range I would love to see a video similar to some of your early ones in the series where you try to make it back from a blunder. Say, being down an exchange or hanging a pawn for no comp. Other than that, thanks for the series!
Blundering minor pieces and being 1800 doesn't go hand in hand. Maybe 1600. Just don't blunder basics, end of story.
@@ChessJourneyman I said an exchange and pawns. Not losing a piece for nothing. Nevertheless, as an 1800 I've had opponents hang their queen for nothing. I don't think you're anything near 1800 if you don't know at this level serious errors are still commonly made.
@@ChessJourneyman dude I'm 2100 and I still have days where I blunder my queen, we're all human lol
Just watch Ben Finegegold streams. He blunders against 1800s all the time
Also if you're looking on how to come back for a blunder, I'd say piece activity, play quickly, and look for tricks - you're playing humans, and they scare easily, so if you can muster an attack, or get a complex position it's possible they'll blunder back. Loved that checkmate

Multitasking at its finest. 🔥🔥🔥
Idk why RUclips makes me work to find vids from this channel
19:25 AGADMATOR
Very instructive game on how to attack. (first game)
congrats on the game vs So- on Agadmator's channel!
Crazy interesting game! What an attack
We almost got a a 4 pawn attack, maybe next time
Thank you GM Danya

The landscape of the kings Indian is very vast. - Daniel Naroditsky
Just subbed thx
damn that shirt he's rocking is sick
14:55 did someone in the chat seriously think they could have done better here? That really ticks me off, but Danya was really nice about it. Just shows the kind of guy he is.
probably parroting engine lines
I saw you today speaking Spanish in the interview with IM Divis!!! Is there something this GM does wrong?
Saludos desde Argentina, un capo el dani
I’m play 1. e4 only, don’t know why I watched this but it’s really nice
When you get to 3000 I can speedrun you back to 800 if you want?
The Samish is my favourite but I got crushed in the last game.
Would love to see you being the one playing the kings indian !
He has played it like 100 times already. Check out his 5 mins Speedrun or begginer to master.
@@Curovicky I saw he played it against a 1400 , would much rather see it against 1800+
Lovely!
Finally my thing!
Brilliant
Averbakh!!!!!
OG Petrosian died Aug 1984. Tigran L. was born Sept 1984 🤣
Guys, stop donating those subs! Nobody can eat that much baguette!
You make it look so easy...
I know You must be concentrating in the aimchess tournament, but i hope to see your analysis of your games and... Good luck, i will be rooting for you
Games like this are exactly why I stopped playing the KID as black
How do you know it's "him"
Dad! I made it!!!
