Finally someone who measured the brightness! Thanks! It is nice and bright and versatile for the price for sure. Few in this price range have power bank ability, like the Wuben C2. Gripes: 1) it gets over 110ºF, the whole body, not just the emitter 2) only flat top 21700s fit easily, button top barely get in there and whatever waterproofing is likely gone 3) the USB port is recessed a bit too much, limiting some of the cords that will work. The build quality is a bit iffy. Definitely wouldn't trust its water rating. But it comes with a 21700 and is VERY bright, even the side light.
I bought the IF23 a few months ago. It has potential but I can't say I like it. The side light overheats and then ramps down so fast during use it's ridiculous. The auto lockout is the worst thing on any flashlight I've ever seen. The worst part about this light though is how you can enable both the side light and the flashlight at the same time. I did that last week for the first time and it flat out killed my battery! The battery was the Sofirn 21700 cell that shipped with the light. I tried using both lights (side and flashlight) again with a Molicell 21700 and it did fine. I won't try it again with another Sofirn battery. Not happy that a feature that kills the battery the light comes shipped with. My first disappointment with a Sofirn light.
I got this a few weeks ago and I love it. It got stuck on with with the rgb colours but on the instructions there's is a fix for it. Also if you want to completely lock it just do a quarter turn on the battery cap.
I've just bought this light from Amazon. I absolutely love it! Quirky lights are fun, but this has great functionality as well. Great review video too, as always. PS: Loved that thunderstorm video you put up the other day.. weather is a passion of mine, just like flashlights, so that video was an added bonus. 😎
Most of the people hates this flashlight, but I just looove it - and I have over 50 different lights! Well, I could live without the auto lockout, but other than that it's perfect for me. I got it before your review, but since I'm a fan of your reviews, thanks for another quality one!
As others say, it's a quirky light and I damn love it! Been using it on trail as a supplemental light to my FW3A and Acebeam E10. Plus the RGB is a fun feature.
I like it, just a few little things I'd change for V2. Maybe hold to return to last used level whilst in Turbo, instead of tap. Would be cool for the RGB to go through the colours on its own.
The auto-lockout in the more recent wave of Sofirn/Wurkkos lights is unfortunate, since it's a polarizing feature that has tended to overshadow the merits of the lights themselves. In principle, it's understandable, but in practice, it conflicts with the UI from the off state, and there's no official way to disable it, as of yet. Otherwise, the IF23's UI isn't as bad as one might expect, since it's just extends the usual gestures to the other channels. But Sofirn would be wise to start exploring multi-switch setups if it's going to explore territory like this, or aux light channels. Anduril can accommodate such scenarios, but it's a complex UI in and of itself. Ironically, lights that aim to be jacks-of-all-trades, like the IF23, might actually have that limit their appeal, at least to enthusiasts who have multiple lights to serve different tasks. But it does serve to provide a nice middle ground between the similar cheaper mass-market with their often questionable COB-based side lights, and the Lumintop E21C, which clearly inspired the IF23, but is roughly double the cost.
I have this one also. But like all my flashlight, that autolock doesn't bother me, bcoz i always loosen the end cap. Saving my batteries and preventing accidentally pish button on my pocket. For me its help.😁
I don't mind it, to be honest. I usually loosen tail cap too. It could be annoying if you're using the light on and off for hours on end doing diy etc.
I almost got this light but the auto lockout was a deal-breaker. I hope Sofirn updates it like the SC33 and allow the user to disable the auto lockout.
@@IsraelMagalitglad to hear that I have found it to be a great light for the money, very versatile. sometimes I clip it to my shirt like a set of sunglasses when I need hands-free light
I just bought one of these for a really stupid cheap flash sale price on A E. One thing I found if you 4 tap lock it from when you were just using the sidelight it gives you a momentary on the sidelight when you press the switch while it is locked. If you lock it after you were just using the spotlight, you dont get the sidelight momentary.
A friend of mine just sent me one of these, good light. How did you get the front and side light on at the same time please, can not figure it out for the life of me.
For me the biggest dealbreaker is the fact that the RGB does not auto-advance and you have to hold down the button for the colors to change. This makes it completely useless as a moodlight. When you put that on top of the very unregulated output + high temps + bad UI + autolock then it's a no. When I saw this initially I thought "that's it I'm buying this light" but now I've decided to pass. At least until they fix the UI and remove the autolock and make the RGB colors advance automatically.

I use the combined lights often with the original Sofirn battery and never had issues with it. I had this flashlight for two months so far,.

Is that side high 150 lumen runtime what you measured? Seems a long time given the 50 lumen run time.
I don't measure runtime, just don't have time
Hi. Does the 500-lumen flood mode last for 3 hours straight, or does the light dim after minutes?

What is the color temperature (Kelvin) of the white side lights? Is it 4000K? High CRI?
At a guess 4000K 80CRI
