    I didn't know that the leveler would fit inside the case. That's perfect...thanks

    Don't travel anymore but did a lot when I was working. Softsided lugage(like your backpack) is perfect when dealing with overheads. There is some room in the seestar case for future items by cutting out some foam. Good job packing.

    My favorite tip was putting the dew shield on one of the tripod legs. Love it! I also put my laser pointer in the case too.

    Another great tip , I always have a hard time making sure my power cord fits in, so many cords and this one is 90degree so don’t want to lose it

    I was wondering what accessories would fit in in the tripod area. And i have everything you've shown here,. Haven't tried yet, and sliding
    The dew shield up a leg is a great idea.
    Thank you! For showing all your tips!
    Keep the S50 videos coming
    I would really like to see you or someone slowly demonstrate all the current controls and functions of the
    App. I have not seen it covered completely yet and the manual is just
    A basic. That would be more valuable
    For people who know nothing about
    The seestar or just the hobbie itself
    Thank you for posting this. 😊

      Absolutely agree. Example, on the main page, go thru from top to bottom identifying each of the symbols. What does it do? Why should you touch it. Especially for the newbie (I am one of them) and the experienced.

    This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!
    Once you’ve learned to appreciate the compactness of the Seestar, why start messing around with extra bags for accessories?!

    I immediately upgraded my case to an Apache 4800 from Harbor Freight for a little more shock protection when tossing it into the back of my Jeep, but I think I'll go back to using the SeeStar case for flying. Thanks for the tips!

    For traveling on airlines, make sure that whatever charging brick you bring with you is under 100Wh rating. Anker sells multiple multi-chargers that are 99Wh in rating, just under the FAA restriction.

      Thanks for the tips! Everything I’ve shown in this video (all the portable batteries) have been with me on airlines and through TSA screenings with no issues 👍🏼

    Great traveling guide, going to a garden party so this guide is excellent, thank you, noob question the bahtinov mask with slits also got the tube extension what is this for and how to use? thanks

    • @TheAstroRoom
      @TheAstroRoom  5 месяцев назад

      The tube extension is probably a light pollution blocker / dew shield. Check if it’s similar to the one I have in my masterclass accessories video, if it’s that then it acts like a light blocker to enhance your images.

    one addition about flying with it. Flying is great, just do it as a carry on. Just leave a few minutes to tell TSA it's a telescope and then usually they have a question or two about how it works. nothing about security, they are just curious as they have never seen one look like that. Except one time when it went through and the big boss TSA person came over and said thanks, they never seen this before and then I had 20 TSA agents around me and it looking and getting a 5 minute training about random stuff you will see. After it, a TSA agent walked me to the gate and made sure I boarded first, just so I didn't miss my flight :) Also, I bought a few space stickers from Amazon and put it all over the case and it's easier that way to tell it's mine. Plus a glow in the dark American flags. I have three of them.

      Wow… that is so fun with the TSA. As space lover, we all want to talk and share about space with others. That is so cool.
      About the stickers, I am very hesitant to do that cause styrofoam is still plastic base and using glue can ruin the case, also the case is black too. It happened to me, with my Seestar case, using mild stickers, they fall off all the time but if you use strong glue it will ruin your case. And if someone steals it, I think a physical device like key tracker or air tag that can track it would be better option.

    I am not crazy about the Seestar tripod, too short, I would pack another one in my large bag that goes on the plane.

    Great video thank you so much I’m wondering if the entire Seestar case will fit inside of the backpack you recommend I noticed there’s a large and a small size

    • @TheAstroRoom
      @TheAstroRoom  5 месяцев назад +1

      It will not fit in the size that im using in the video, perhaps it will fit in the larger version of the same backpack. Check the dimensions of the larger one or if you get it, return it in the event it doesn't fit.
