Paul, I just bought this just a moment ago. I make marquees with lights and used Rockler's depth stop for years. I use spade and forstner bits for every hole for each of the light bulbs. I've always wanted my Rockler depth stop to have micro adjusting just like my FlushMount drill bit. I've never been so happy. The Rockler depth stop isn't the best (feels like a prototype). This is what I've always wanted. Fastcap cannot invent anything else that'll make me more happy. When I drill with my forstner bits, I drill until the bit is 2mm away from drilling through the plywood. I get so frustrated when I have 50+ lightbulb holes to drill and some of the holes the forstner bit eats away too much wood. My work is just too big for the drill press. The Rockler depth stop is too wide and adjusting it is the worst. I've always hated it. The only improvement I would make to your design is replacing the Allen screws with small thumb screws.
Magnavon on a large scale. I like. This is a needed product. Just got an order in from you guys today no problems. Now i need to find another $100 of product to get free shipping. lol
I am working on a idea to join PVC pipes together with screws so it could be taken apart If you are building something out of PVC the cost of Fittings cost more than the pipe stock
This looks like it would be a Perfect Solution for Finished Cabinet Doors. Why is cause all the others in some way Either Spin and Mar the finish or Vibrate and scuff the finish. Glad you're bringing this to the market place! Thanks Oops forgot to add the word European Hinges and the 35 mm forstner bit to drill the cup. Again, Thanks
Very useful product. Suggestion: Before there is an unfortunate accident involving a finger carelessly inserted into the chip-clearing holes while the drill is spinning (in the heat of battle, stuff happens...), add an exterior flange/guard to make it nearly impossible for the fingers to get past (beneath) it to enter the holes. Rather than re-tool the existing metal stop piece, perhaps add a bell-shaped plastic "overcoat" that would slip downward onto the stop piece with a 1/2" horizontal "shelf" projecting outward and located just above the clearance holes. (A somewhat similar guard function is provided between the striking top of some large sized cold/masonry chisels and the handle, in that case included to keep the mechanic from smashing the hand holding the chisel when he hits it with a hammer.)
If i am not completely satisfied will you take it back for full refund? Do you pay return shipping if not satisfied and want to return a product? I have been not satisfied with a couple of your products in the past and never bothered to do anything cause i figure its not worth my time to return a small item.

hey Paul great new widget
here is a idea how about putting a inverted V for drilling round stock or pipes
Interesting idea! You could easily modify one of these to fulfill that exact purpose!

We haven’t heard of any injuries yet thankfully, but that’s a great idea! I'll run it by Paul.
