Ah, these videos are really interesting. I expected to be turned off and find this really boring, but they're somehow very entertaining. I love how the examples of what you should and shouldn't do aren't just plain text, they're literally the actors playing as the characters and showing you what to do.
I'm surprised this training video didn't include Friar Tuck, the Sheriff, or even Maid Marian. I heard that Maid Marian used to appear alongside the casts, following the film's release, before she suddenly disappeared in the 1990s. Yet, on some occasions, including the "Long Lost Friends" week at the Magic Kingdom in 2013, Friar Tuck and the Sheriff still made some appearances. Even Little John had a few "recent" appearances. Also, I'd like to point out that the Robin Hood costume has gone through some changes to this day, while the other costumes of the other characters of the 1973 classic remains the same.
she dissapeared in the very early 2000s I believe, also there are a lot of variants of her because they couldn't get their headdress right until the final years
Characters stopped walking thru the parks and shops long ago. Now everyone has designated spots where the guests go to them. The ones they mostly have are Mickey Mouse characters and princess'. I haven't seen Robin Hood in years.
4:12 "You're working with a young, unpredictable audience...." In the words of Tranquil Fury, "Laddie, don't you think you should rephrase that." For you see Robin Hood attracted a certain older audience, beyond young children....
It is a shame I personally never came across these characters when I went to the Disney theme parks since this was one of my favorite Disney movies as a kid.
Bruh, that footage from the animated Robin Hood movie looks like it came from a really beat up film print, which is strange because the film had only been out for, like, 3 years at this point
3:48 Prince John: Ooh, lots of gold jewelry in this aisle. I should try to find my wallet. 4:00 Prince John: Ooh, lemme get at YOUR wallet, seem to have lost mine. Just kidding.
flwrgrl13 Most likely because Robin Hood isn't as popular as other Disney movies. It was made on a very low budget and as a result, very underrated. They do still appear at the parks nowadays, but on very rare ocassions. I too wish they appeared more often. :(
These videos are interesting but they also make me very sad. :'( Mickey and Minnie, and all their friends, are REAL. Just like us. The only thing inside them are their souls. 3:48 Prince John: Ooh, lots of gold jewelry in this aisle. I should try to find my wallet. 4:00 Prince John: Ooh, lemme get at YOUR wallet, seem to have lost mine. Just kidding.
Somebody find tapes of the 1990s so I could see how to be Aladdin toy story or beauty and the beast I know it's the 1970s version Try finding the 1990s version of the character training
Adult me: “I would have loved to see them as a kid! I was too much of a tomboy to care about princesses, but Robin Hood was one of my favorites!” Kid me if I actually HAD seen them back then: “Mommy, I’m too scared and shy to see the people in costumes, even if they are from one of my favorite cartoons.” 😂

My favourites! :D Wish they appeared more often...
The arrangement of Whistle Stop at the end was really nice. Also, it's too bad these characters aren't seen anymore at the parks.
They do come out every once in a while for Long Lost Friends.
@@Angie2343 Very Looooonnnngggg Lost. Loved the movie, never met the costumers (I was afraid when I was young!).
@@RandolphGarrettExcelsior :)
I guess today characters is not allowed in any shop.
Little john looks so weird with the long neck he almost lock giraffe like
I think Minnie and Mickey can still be in malls.

I feel like we're not supposed to see this
We're not, but these are fun to watch.

Young at heart, remember?
Robin Hood's my fave Disney movie from the first part of the Dark era.
Nowadays, kids are entertained by Brian Hull's impressions. They're so good that even the CMs are entertained.
What a jolly entrance that robin hood little John and Prince John did.🦊🐻🦁🏹🏰
Looks nice. What about Maid Marian?

Thanks for uploading this! What a nice time capsule of the 70s
Some kids will even give a punch... 😂
2:50 Prince John’s like, “My car!!!!”
......... Okay now i'm really jealous!
aww, that was neat. : ) I want to hug Robin. All three of those were so cool!
I wonder if there is a character training vid of Br'er Bear, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Rabbit
It's hard to be a Disney character as mascot you get hot and you get thrusty and as a face characters you have to smile unless your the villains
It's spelt as "thirsty" not thursty
2:18 Though I wouldn't think Prince John has anything on Bert Lahr LOL (referring to the narrator calling Prince John "cowardly")
Upload the video about Maid Marian?
If your tired of the mascots
Look for the tapes of the face characters like Alice in wonderland and Peter Pan or Cinderella
I love Robin Hood!

Robin Hood is hit or miss over at Hollywood Studios during CharacterPalooza, he's common over at Tokyo.
@@FoxyLoxley73 The characters themselves can even tell you their story wasn't very popular. Same with Disney sequels.

How cool!!
Prince John’s outfit looks nice, but nothing like anything he wears in the movie.

That second one is totally me. Some of those costumes really scared me as a child, but some of the others I wasn't really bothered by.
I'd like to see you take it seriously when there is heavy wind and the actors are struggling to keep their heads on.
What About Mickey and Pals?
l'd last ten minutes in a job like this
Is there a video for Any Face Characters?
I saw mickey reveal his head off......My child hood is destroying in piece's.....
The actor just made a terrible accident
They should make New videos of Disney characters training
Im so into these. Have you put them on google drive
It feels kinda weird that Robin is the only one that doesn’t have the name John
Do the Robin Hood characters ever show up in the park besides in parades? Don’t think I’ve ever seen them.
I wanna meet Robin Hood :(
back n 2010 0r maybe 2013 they had long friends event at disneyland for ap members n they were there
Aren't you forgetting Friar Tuck and the Sheriff of Nottingham?
I don't think they were available characters at the parks until after this video was produced.
They weren't costumes at the time as these tapes were produced in the mid 70s
Did You Have the Rest of the Disney Character Training Tape 1976?
I Do, But I Don't Want a Copyright Strike and Close this Account Down.
You could upload it somewhere else
I Could Try Google Drive.
That'd probably be your best option
Will you upload them on Google Drive soon?
Do you have a training video for the Br'ers?
I Do. But I Didn't Want to Avoid the Copyright Strake.
Could you get around it?
PrinceJoshThemeParks&Travel upload it to google drive and send us the links
Yes could please share it on Google drive? I find these so interesting.
