Vinny picks the chef character for their good cooking ability and melee weapon efficiency. Doesn't like cooking food, and uses almost exclusively guns aside from his fire poker.
I love Vinny, but watching him play this game hurts so much. It's so good if you actually engage with it...
It is kind of a shame, I just hope this hasn't given some people who do like survival games some bad impressions on it. The whole group seems kinda unwilling to get into it, aside from Mono for like one stream and then concluded it's boring as shit to be the only one cooking and boiling water for like five other people that are too content-focused

For the love of god, please edit your save's sandbox settings file to decrease needs drain so you can actually make progress. While you're at it, you can decrease enemy respawn rate so that enemies don't respawn the second you leave an area and come back. Also, you NEED to unlock/research all your recipes; there is essential stuff for both survival and progression that you need the recipes for.

Yup, I live near the theme park where Fabio got hit by the bird on the roller coaster, and I remember hearing about that when it happened haha. That coaster was brand new at the time, and I think that was its first ride and he was on it. It starts with a big drop, and the first time my Dad rode on it, his car keys fell right out of his pocket on that first drop.

Oh Kei, thanks Binny for totally reminding me of that Skyrim follower mod, that I can't shake the feeling that might have been someone trying to mod me in to Skyrim somehow. I swear there is too many similarity, for me to just brush it off, as pure coincidence. But just enough inaccuracies, to make me thinks its weird paranoia. I'd forgotten that one. That's why I hate watching games like this played by content creators. Because it's a great game but you know they don't have the focus or braincells to actually play it. So they'll play it poorly for a few sessions, drop it because of disinterest and pick up the next viral game that's coming out. It's really frustrating how they interact with games that people work really hard to create.
It also assumes that their audiences are too dumb to sit and watch them play a game correctly.

Abiotic Factor is really such an interesting and fun game huh; truly engaging and non stop fun that doesn't lead to wandering around aimlessly talking about complete nonsense to keep oneself entertained.
It is, but Vinny and his friends are just like that

I don't mind the nonsense, It's quite entertaining actually, it's just the constant praise of a bog standard survival game that Vinny and others have played before, especially compared to Minecraft; the Half-Life veneer hides that I guess.
@@Braindawgs00 they are kind of blinded by the half life nostalgia and completely forgot that they are playing a survival game. if they knew any better they could turn off alot of the survival settings as the game allows ALOT of customization on how you want to play but it's most likely way to late for that now.

Goon monster. Only one person can see it at a time and it's unkillable. You can ward it off or wait it out, but if you get too close you get killed.
I really like the idea and concept of the game, the environment and exploration aspect,
but the current implementation of actual gameplay feels a bit...
There is no risk, no tension. You can just die and it's not a big deal at all.
This makes enemies or hazards feel completely inconsequential - and taking away the cool aspect of the massive complex itself.
There's no sense of survival, stress or fear even though the settings implies it.
I mean it's like most survival/horror/sandbox games. They don't usually perma kill you unless you choose that option and usually you can tweak the punishment for death.
But it's in early access so I'm assuming more will come as time goes on. But it's the same with games like Grounded and 7d2d, you die and you have to hoof it back to get your shit. You lose time, resources and progress made towards your goal because you have to check back in at base making more healing, weapons, repairing, watering crops if you have them. Depending on the difficulty it can definitely be a big setback.
Just because your stuff doesn't vanish into the abyss doesn't mean it's not a pain in the ass lol. But I'm sure we will be able to change those settings or can already in admin.

There's an aquarium by the tram stop in Labs that you can just jump up on top of and fill up.
