- Singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, who gained international fame for her iconic role in the 1978 musical “Grease,” passed away Monday. Sam Rubin reports for the KTLA 5 News at 3 on Aug. 8, 2022.

I have loved her since I was 7 in 1974. I’ve been fighting the tears since I found out she had died a few hours ago. Her music has meant so much to me.

This speaks to the wide range of fans she had. . .
Grease was one of the first non animated films i watch as a child and still watched later into adulthood because of how good the acting and singing was from Newton and Travolta(and the rest of the cast).

It's heartbroken to know she just passed away. She's beautiful at any age and her angelic voice, her songs, her legacy will live in her fans' heart all over the world. RIP Olivia. You will be truly remembered.
