The best Japan in HOI4, the legendary TommyKay Japan is finally back with a new challenger, the only worthy challenger left. Of course it can't be a human, no one can beat the shinra tensei divisions, no one can beat the ginger on his patented Japan. The only one that can stand a chance is an AI and not the normal AI, no. This is the state of the art, straight from the Matrix, artificial intelligence that has been worked on for years to try and defeat the TommyKay Japan. This AI has only one purpose, to destroy the legend that is the TOMMYKAY JAPAN! Its an evil AI that wants to destroy the career of the Kay, but will it succeed in its goals, or will it crumble like everyone else under the almighty push of Japan.

I don’t like playing games like this or Civ on higher difficulty because it doesn’t make the AI smarter, it just gives them more and more overwhelming stats, but it was amusing to watch lol.
Expert ai sure gives them more buffs and shit but it also changes the ai, how it thinks, how it makes divisions, what it researches, what it does for focuses etc etc
@@masterhacker7065 thats much more challenging i guess..i used buffing the enemy ai in vanilla and in the end it just multiplied the number of divisions they throw at u and number of planes they have but as ussr u dont really care about those still managed to win although they caused me a lot of trouble in first 6 months i had to retreat to stalin line rivers to stabilize the frontlines :D
@@masterhacker7065 Yeah Expert AI is great. You can actually customize the difficulty to a huge degree. If you'd want to you could only make the AI smarter, but not give them any positive modifiers. Though no mod can improve the way the AI actually uses it's units, like master hacker said, it only impacts the management aspect of the AI. Unit usage is hardcoded afaik.

You know what would be awesome? Dankus recently released an USSR guide. What if Tommykay did one too for Japan?
I know he already explained how to play japan in several videos, but nothing like a full on guide. He may not be that in touch with the boring tryhard meta, but as a single player player who struggles to play a good historical japan, I honestly don’t care and would like to see how you build up for china and and how you fight the allies and mainly the US effectively.

Buildup for china build lvl 2 airfield build lvl 2 port where he showed build civs dont repair and just click and win. Idea of a good Japan wich he is not really is different. Good Japan is eazy to pull of in SP if you just click rather then activate batlleplan. In NSB its even eazier just build more cass and its eazy.

The mods devs gonna have to change the mod difficulty to “Tommy Kay” instead of impossible now I guess.

In this mod china gets a progressive buff to their defense and offense on core territory, scaling up with capitulationprogress
Towards the end that bonus goes to 75% defense on core territory etc.
So this is a lot more insane
