Thank you 😁 it was indeed yes! I know! I was saying to another comment that a simple bean can would have saved it! But to be fair, it was from a deceased estate, and I don't know how long ago that was 🙄 but even so 🤷♂️
Is it really?? I do know they can be fitted with a turbo, This one obviously hasn't got one, I've considered putting one on 🤔🤷♂️😂 but the piggy bank probably won't allow it!
That's right, we had 2 from new in the late 1970s, and pulled 4 furrow Dowdeswell ploughs. Used to dual them up on the rear with Bettinson duals. Could handle a Marston 10 tonne trailer just fine. Would like to see a follow up of it going again.
Don't see many of them around these days! Certainly the first one I've seen anyway! It was more of an impulse buy than anything! I had you lot to blame for it as you all love watching broken things! 😂😂 if this one can make it to half those hours, I'll be happy! 🤞🤞
@richardmorgan5785 I shall be trying to keep costs down by doing as much myself as I can! 😊 engine parts are surprisingly cheap for this one! 👌👌 it will make a good little rake tractor I think! 😊
@@seggonscontractors588 they were the bee's knees back in the day 😀 we only saw the 3+4 cyl models down here. Heard a tale of a 3640 that had the 10mm spanner remap..... They did it on a Dyno at Cfl / never did find the piston 🙄🤬
@richardmorgan5785 I've heard a lot of people say they were far too complicated mechanically for that era 🤔 it came off a large chicken farm, I believe, so big they had their own feed mill!! Ahh bugger 😂 I have thought of giving this one a little lift, but maybe not 🙄😂😂
Neither have I! Just a simple bean can over the exhaust would have saved it! Yes! I've been waiting for the local engine machine shop to have there revamp, and they're back up and running now so both of these should come together quite quickly I hope!
I think in its day it was looked after, but I don't know exactly when it was parked up! Someone cared enough to have repainted it at some point as it is all very shiny!! I will do my best to get it running before the cows go out!! 🤞🤞🤞
Great video Carl, you have a huge job on your hands with this one . Unbelievable how much water it had in it . 👍👍
Made for a good watch👍interesting to see what you make of it. Crazy how many vehicles just get parked and left to the elements.

97hp if I remember right ,quite a popular tractor in the day.

Mmmmm tasty gloop... I thought for a second when the first bucket came out, ooh I hope you've got at least one more! 😂😂
Well, I could tell I needed a couple from how gar up the dipstick the oil was, so I thought I'd take some precautions! 😂

Why do you put yourself through this hell 😱
I hope it was cheap 😁
Because I'm a fool and haven't learnt my lesson 😁😂 I thought it was a good price I paid for it anyway, don't see many of them around, really!
@@seggonscontractors588 if it is not too expensive to rebuild then it is not so bad 🙄 I guess you can't have to many in a busy time 😉

Christ, I haven't seen one that bad before 😳 is the little 2140 still on going?

What would be the market price for a functional one?
I've seen a couple on Facebook and they're around the £3000-£3500 mark
