I really like my harvest host membership. I live in Wa state and traveled to Texas and back using Harvest Hosts almost exclusively. All the places I stayed, mostly wineries, were so nice and accommodating.
Thank you so much never knew about Harvest host or boondockers had no idea this stuff existed thank you again for educating us all I follow all your moves and I'm kind of living vicariously through you because I want to do the same thing
love your videos, you need to post more often!!..and also,,i have to agree with some of the other comments,,bears and mountian lions,,i've seen them both when i lived in spokane,,please get some bear spray,it will work on cougars/mountian lions also,,,they are there,,dont ever ignore your doggie,,a dog will smell and hear them way before you ,,pay attention to the pup,,they will try to tell you,,..please take care..
Great video…Thanks. If you have a passport and the time you may want to go to Vancouver Island. You would have to go to Port Angeles, Washington and take a ferry across. There is a place called Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island that is really pretty. And there are lots of good campgrounds on the island too.
Thank you for reviewing harvest host. I am planning to join after I retire and and I appreciate the information. That looks like a fantastic journey you took with great places to stay.
Hey, I live in Seabeck WA and I would recommend checking out either Fort Flagler on Maristone Island or Fort Worden in Port Townsend or maybe both! You won’t regret it. Thanks for sharing and maybe we will see you out there.
Excellent review and awesome adventures. We will be suing both HH and BW as we head east toward Cleveland. At 8:31, what is mounted next to the door of your ig? A spot light or camera?
Really great video. Both HH & BW are wonderful resources for RVers. Looks like you had a really great trip from Cali to Washington. Looking forward to seeing all your PNW adventures! Keep up the great RUclips work... you are truly lovely.
Everyone is on a different mission when traveling. It is nice to try to understand others peoples mission. Traveling is easy. It is our expectations that make it overwhelming. Harvest Hosts cost $99 a year to access the service.
Great video. Love your channel. Can I ask where you were able to dump tanks and refill water when you stayed at HH of BDW sites? Thanks again for a great videos.
Hi Sarah, Your video format and content are spot on. You are an inspiration to young and old at heart. Your narration and laid back speaking style is very welcoming. My wife has been a Nurse for over 30 years and has a similar speaking style to yours. My wife gets compliments all the time from patience's because of her caring style. My guess is that you are also getting compliments from patience's at your work. Always looking forward to your next video.
This is great content, Sarah! You have a talent with the editing and narration too. I'm also a HH and BW member, all good experiences so far. FYI, my Airstream is in the shop for repairs (had a little accident 😔) but should be back on the road very soon. I am interested in visiting Bend and Smith Rock...before September. Welcome to Washington!
Places to go in Washington state.....Olympic Peninsula, Sal Duc and hot springs. Hole in the wall, have to go see it at low tide. It is up near Forks, Washington.
It's great to watch your video~! I am also thinking to purchase airstream and go camping with whole of my family. Thank you for all of the information and beautiful scenes in your video. Can't wait to see next adventure~! Thank you, Jinwoo
So I just tried the SoftStartUp for five days at my mother in laws. I was plugged into a 15 amp plug and was able to use the a/c and everything else in my camper. Comes in handy. I do not work for these folks and it is a bit costly but so worth it.
Thank you for this wonderful information. I love watching your videos!! My favorite thing to do is taking the ferries from Anacortes, WA to the San Juan Islands. My favorite is Orcas Island but you need to take your car for that island, at Friday Harbor you can get right off the ferry and walk to the city. Plus Anacortes is really cute also. Also the Washington Olympic National Forest for hiking, I have never actually been there but have seen pictures and it is beautiful. Enjoy the PNW
Hi Sarah. Your videos are very informative and inspiring. I am a Rad Tech in WA and am looking into traveling as well. I would like to travel as you are with a travel trailer but am concerned it may be difficult to find a spot to park while working a contract. Have you had any difficulty find a place to stay for the whole contract? Thank you!
Obviously the National Parks are cool (Rainier, Olympic, North Cascades). I always enjoyed Point Defiance in Tacoma. Leavenworth is a cool mountain town with a German Alps theme to it and has a good Oktoberfest.
In my area in VA, (within 20 miles of Mathews) the privet campground rates per day can be $110.00 a day! So sites like Boondockers, or Harvest Host make perfect since for people just needing a short stay.
You make some good points about Boondockers Welcome. I have only been considering Harvest Hosts. Thank you. I have a new to me in 2022 a 2015 Flying Cloud 20 Bambi and 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Absolutely no challenges with sway towing with a weight distribution hitch. However, I will be upfitting a few items and getting a new F-350 so I may haul a raft above the bed. Thank you again for your channel.
@@lau9404 It is a V6 and has plenty of power uphill in the mountains. Normally I average 21 mpg. Towing the FC 20 I average 13 mog. Uphill... 6 mpg @ 70 mph. 8 mpg @ 60 mph. But, not loaded up with gear.
Hi Sarah excellent content. I also just recently joined Harvest Host and have used it twice and both places I stayed at were nice. I haven’t joined boon dockers yet but I will not now that I know I can possibly stay more than one day.
I joined HH and before I could actually book anything, I had to post a photo of myself and my RV along with a biography. That was enough for me to quit and get a refund.
Hi Sarah -- nice to see someone like yourself venture out on your own and try something a bit "off the beaten path." I'm also in healthcare...an x-ray tech myself but I'm in cardiac cath. No BE's for me!!! 🤣 I'm not a traveler though. I'm into the boondocking and camping on BLM lands away from most of civilization these days so my rig is a pretty heavy duty one...made in South Africa actually. Sometimes you just never know if something is going to be right for you or not so you've just got to say...WTF...and try it out to find out! Since you're currently up in the Pacific NW...Washington way...I'd recommend Coeur d'Alene Parkway State Park in the panhandle of Idaho if you have the chance. It's an amazingly beautiful area. Anyway...enjoy your time on the road...always be aware of your surroundings...and stay safe and healthy!!! TTYL -- Mitch 🙂
Yes but watch out for all the bears, especially that time of the month! They will kill you so have bear spray in your hand. Bears can smell a meal up to 20 miles away. Most people think just because you can't see a bear make no mistake they know where you are! Also, I would hate for my pet to have to lose their life defending me enough time to get away! I myself would carry besides the bear spray personally. You went rock climbing, well you do like to live life dangerously! I value my life, so I'll just stick to my motorcycle! Thank you for all the info about Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome Hosts that is very appreciated. We have had 3 trailers in 4 years and I have finally settled on a Salem Hemisphere Forest River 22RBHL it's a 27' but I have only taken one trip with it and it seems that it has turned into my she shed out in the back yard!
I'm a member of both, but I'm a dumb ass and a chain smoker and I'm amazed how many host say no smoking. I've never once left even a single butt on the ground and would never think about smoking near any group of smarter then me non smoking people, but I'm excluded in some spots.
Sarah I have a 19' and love your vlog. Have you visited David Winnick's website? He may have something you might like for your AS. Think Home Sweet Home. Check it out..............
Harvest Hosts is a great concept. Beautiful places - nice people - a great way to support local farms - ranches and businesses. Highly recommend.
We are Harvest Host and Boondockers welcome members as well. We have had wonderful experiences with them all across the country.
I really like my harvest host membership. I live in Wa state and traveled to Texas and back using Harvest Hosts almost exclusively. All the places I stayed, mostly wineries, were so nice and accommodating.
Great video. I have heard many good things about Harvest Host. Enjoy beautiful WA.
Nice video Sarah! I’m starting my full time journey this month and your story has been inspiring. Looking forward to more content
Awesome!!!👠🚌👠
You’re awesome, Sarah!
Looks like you had a great time! I’ve never been to Washington, but it looks beautiful. Looking forward to seeing where all you go out there.
Great info. Many campgrounds are booked way in advance, so this is an excellent option. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Bought our first RV last week and have been thinking about Harvest Host. You helped us make the decision, we are definitely joining! Thank you!!!!!

I just found your channel, Sarah. This video has a wealth of information! Loved every minute of it. Excited to follow along with you on your travels!
Hi Sarah What a Great video super happy for you and Rue visiting the harvest host camps
We love your videos! While in WA you definitely should stay at Deception Pass SP. We spent 5 days there and will definitely be returning.

Great information Sarah! And loneliness is a state of mind…
Great video and content.
Sarah, if you have time, take a ferry over to Port Townsend WA. It's a really cute little town.

I used gas stations or nearby campgrounds to dump and almost all my hosts had a water spigot I could use to fill my fresh tank. 😊

What an experience! Did you see the wildfires when you went through Yosemite?

Hi Sarah, great video. Do you think it was worth adding Boondockers? Did you use them very much or 😊pretty much all HH?
Love your videos! I am hoping to have this lifestyle next year. I am an RN with a 23fb Airstream.
Great episode

Is your Jeep a V6 or V8 ? (I would love to hear that V6 is enough but please tell us if it is not 🙏🏻 :-)

Sarah, when will you be giving an airstream tour? I see wallpaper but I can’t tell what surface you put it on? Was it hard to put on?
Super hard to put on but totally worth it! Hopefully the tour video will be in the next couple months 😊
I would love to hear about that wallpaper too ! And also where you got the lovely wall decoration on it

Pacific northwest is between haystoc in Oregon and Seattle Washington, along the Pacific coast, but have fun anyway 🤟
Did we see Crater Lake?
Well I certainly hope Harvest Host is compensating you for this endorsement.
