I`m 65 yrs old. Quit playing while doing engineering work for 40 years. But my wife ask why don`t I play again (we met in high school band, after 37 years we got back together). I`ve been replaying trumpet for the last 7 years and loving it. I was always good at ad libbing solos back then and re found my groove and my high end high notes F# and more. It`s been great for my heart and breathing control to continue playing. I mainly play a 1948 Olds studio and a 1958 Olds mendez. There`s a Bach strad in my collection just like my high school one, But my main goto horn is the olds 1948 studio I got it for $300, my Mendez was $800. I love the old horns and treasure them. It doesn`t need to cost $3000 or more for a great horn, look around, you`ll find others you too would appreciate. good luck and play on, you will live longer for it!

I’ve owned my little king and have been blowing on it since 3rd grade. Always wanted a blessing trumpet, I picked up a used blessing flugal and love it! By the by, a trumpet is the ultimate aphrodisiac, try it out on the spouse or that someone special…Peace and keep that embouchure tight when needed and loose when you really need that emotion. Never give up!

Qualche settimana fa mi sono comprato un aerofono (Clarii Mini) piuttosto basilare, e grazie al suo video ho già imparato questa canzone e sto ancora cercando di darle tutta l'espressività. first time I heard Maynard live in 1975 I did not pick my horn up for a week about 10 years later I could play "Hey Jude" same notes as Maynard not nearly as great as he but over the years my range has been very good.... Thanks Maynard the man👍👍

I have seen many great players Maynard Ferguson, Freddie Hubbard, Derek Watkins, Wayne Bergeron, Chuck Mangione, Arturo Sandoval, Thomas Gansch, James Morrison many greats and I beleive you are up there with them all. I would love to see you play live. Thanks for all the music and I do play along.
