    I love my rd-m960. Great performance and lightweight, plus it was one of the few nice-looking rear derailers from that era. I'm surprised you consider the rapid-rise a flaw; i personally love rapid-rise/low normal RDs. A lot of ppl are actually seeking those out these days

      I think they’re great too, I just assumed most people don’t like em 😂

      @@RetroRebuilds i remember most ppl hated them back in the day when they were new, but i think they really hated the dual-control levers that went with them, where the brake levers were also the shifter? But in the past 5 years it so, they got a cult following. I think a lot of that comes from Grant at Rivendell promoting them.
      I set up a bike with a low-normal rear derailer and a high-normal front derailer... Shifting is upside down and back-asswards, but it shifts so good...

      Hell yea I got bike with the dual controls they’re alright as long as you don’t do anything crazy

      @@RetroRebuilds yeah they're good for XC but they do take getting used to. They work well unless you're sending it and things get inadvertently shifted

      I do any derailleurs I can get my hands on! I’ll definitely do that one once I get it

      i got one of those in white.....great derailer on friction. Indexing wasn't so great
