@@THEKAIZENMENTALITY-o2r you can apply but you won’t be eligible to get its sign-up bonus. The application order for MR CCs should be Green - Gold - Platinum (if you want to be eligible for sign-up bonuses for all these credit cards). Also, these are the rules for the US version of Amex cards. If you are based somewhere else, I cannot be sure about the application rules there.
I assume you booked all of your hotels and flights through the AMEX portal to get all those points? I heard that sometimes AMEX will raise the price on hotels via their portal but if you go on the hotel's website it's cheaper. Another question, when claiming the airline credit, since you must lock yourself to a specific airline, let's say you choose American Airlines will that credit count towards an overseas airline that's partnered with American Airlines? Thank you for the informative video!
@@SpyThereMan13 Hi! Thank you so much for watching! Actually, I have never booked my hotels/flights on Amex travel portal for the same reason that you mentioned. It’s usually a worse deal than other websites. I earn my points from putting flight purchases on my card and a couple other strategies for stacking points. For the airline fee credit, you run a risk of not getting reimbursed if the ultimate charge on your card is from let’s say British Airways (partner) instead of AA (the airline you have selected). So I would either avoid or try starting with a small test charge to be sure. Hope this helps!
From your credit card account's home page, if you go to 'Membership Rewards Points' (this should be a tile on the right) and click on 'Explore Rewards'. On the next page, you'll see a 'Your Highlights for 2024' tile. From here, click on 'View Rewards Activity'. This will show you points earned and spent in 2024 :)
@@hrishikeshkshirsagar6738 Hi, thank you so much for considering my referral link! 😊 The way it works is that Amex shows everyone different sign up bonuses. So to improve your odds for a high bonus, try opening the link in private browsing/incognito. Also, Amex allows you to check if you qualify for the sign up bonus before you actually apply for the card (meaning, no impact to your credit score) so make sure you take advantage of this option and this should also show you how many points they will offer you. Hope this helps!
I agree! $700 sounds steep but it’s essentially $60/month and I’d rather pay for AmEx membership than spend that money on other things I don’t really need. But that’s just me
Great content, very informative, absolutely subscribing this channel!
Thank you!
Is it really true that I can't apply for amex mrcc and amex gold if my first card is amex platinum travel card?

I don't care about paying $700 a year when the nominal credits are so good out of the gate. 🤷♂️
@@fwoodbridge I think so too! 🙌
