I agree that it's becoming hard when they design the spiral abyss based on the limited banner. Even if we can pull for that character, it's not easy to upgrade them all instantaneously and survive all floors. It can be honestly unfair for us who don't whale on this game

its just the wolflord that's really annoying in the recent abyss. even with the optimal geo team its just stupid to have a boss that waste ten minutes just floating around when the goal is to clear as fast as possible.
that's why meta-wise, players should be getting a variety of characters, such as yoimiya or ganyu to deal with the wolflord or thunder manfestation easier in this specific abyss

When he shoots those wolf heads onto the field, just position yourself directly behind it and destroy it that way. All his incoming attacks just get blocked by the wolf head if you make sure to stay right behind it.
BTW for floor 12 first half first chamber, you can easily identify the monster with the Health Bar, it has an aura with it, you can easily figure it out and get into position before they finished transform.
Truth. It does "feel" easier though the more invested our characters are over time. And then there are those rotations you have no real answer for unless you grind especially hard for prep...

@@chaosinfernoid9008 for 12-1-1 I use zhongli, yoimiya, yelan, yunjin, and for 12-1-2 I use ganyu, ayaka, kazuha, kokomi. for 12-2-1 I switch to the ayaka freeze team, and for 12-2-2 yoimiya. then 12-3-1 back to yoimiya, and 12-3-2 ayaka freeze. I realize my ayaka team is relatively expensive, but freeze teams in general do well, especially with kokomi making corrosion much less painful (biggest drawback is fighting the wolflord without geo - you can either squeeze a geo unit into your freeze team, or just take your time once you've already 3* that chamber) hyperbloom is also supposed to be very good for single target, and if you have nilou, her superbloom team is excellent in aoe situations (less ideal when corrosion's involved though)
i thought floor 12 was a breeze this time around because you can tell it was made for scara haha. i went raiden national first half and scara faruzan yun jin diona second half. scara is pretty strong against the wolf-lord since he shaves down its hp without needing to wait for it to come down, then holding yun jin's E is enough to take out a whole skull with the cooldown on it being extremely fast too.
I always do randomizer through floors 9-11 and floor 12 I just use the best I can come up with without being National or Freeze Ganyu just to have more challenge. This abyss was indeed pretty challenging and is amazing how much your Itto mad it look easy. Well done Doro!
The thing about Spiral Abyss is like, sure it could get more difficult, but as it stands it's only going to get more difficult in a superficial kind of way, as in, more bosses that spend more time invulnerable, or more bosses that aren't functionally different from their overworld counterparts other than having these immense HP pools. And honestly I wouldn't even really mind it if the rewards for a full clear of Abyss was more than a mere 600 primogems. The amount you'd spend to get to the point where you can do a 36* run is so much more than the amount you get back from the game that for the vast majority of players it's not worth the effort, and until the supply increases or some new "endgame" content comes around that's just how it's gonna be
If it makes anyone feel any better, if you pull for Itto to deal with the wolflord you won't get decent artifacts for him until 2024 so you are not missing out. Similar with majority character selling abysses.
Holy crap a real video!! I was starting to think you only did RUclips shorts now. I didn't have trouble at all with this abyss and only had to redo the Wolf Lord fight once because I held back to much on the first half of the fight. I used for the first half of floor 12 a team of Nahida, Raiden, Yelan, and Diona while for the second half I used Itto, Goro, Bennet, and Zhongli.
It's much harder than the last time. Golden WolfLord is just annoying. I didn't have problem with my 1st half lineup but the 2nd one 😆😅. I had to repeat the chamber 2 just to 36 star it. I haven't been having a hard time in the abyss since 2.7 until this one
and i hope it gets harder bc this is easy, if people get anxious over a game's difficulty then just don't play abyss☹️ and let the people who want more difficulty enjoy it, i swear you all just want free primogems, of course I want them too, but people get anxious over 600 primogems (actually 300 bc don't tell me at ar +55 you can't easily clear floors 9-10 they're easy if you know how to build characters), those primogems are like a reward for 'extra difficulty' so people who can't complete it bc they don't know hiw to build characters or team compositions they shouldn't cry about difficulty and that only 'whales' can complete it. Bc no, I've seen f2p who have got 36 stars on abyss including the current one. It's just you who don't know how to build a character
your videos just never miss, I had to laugh so often, literally made my day xD (ofc huge shoutout to the editor) I only do floor 9, 10 and 11 because 12 stresses me. I have 36 stared it before and I doubt I'll have huge troubles doing it again- I just don't feel like stressing myself over 150 primos 🤡 also since floor 9 and 10 especially are very easy to clear- I would love to see you clear them with randomly generated teams 👀 and for 11 you could do 3 random characters for each team and then decide 1 yourself (cuz Imagine you get all unbuild or half build characters and you try to clear it- that would just hurt to watch lmao)
My only problem is floor 12 - 2nd half (still got it to 9 stars). Wolflord seems hard but the trick I use is to burst him quickly so he can bring his shield up asap. Then immediately swap to ningguang coz she can easily destroy those wolf heads or whatever in 3-4 autos (only 2 with E). Even an unbuilt, low level ningguang can do it so abuse that
Ive never had to TACTICALLY approach an abyss boss in order to beat it within 3 star's time, before. I finally killed the bastard in under 7 minutes yesterday and it was euphoric.
Yae Miko supremacy against the Golden Wolflord, constant 20k hits then Raiden + Kazuha bursts when it lands. For me, the last floor was the most difficult especially since I had to use Ganyu against the boss in order to beat second half
I put in my Hutao team for the second half without looking up the details(usually doesn’t matter), then I saw the Doggies on floor 12 second half: time for some extreme sports baby.
The way i deal with with the wolf lord is actually not to go full geo because all u need is one geo character to deal with the heads. But because he keeps flying, i use yae for her turrets and wanderer as he has ranged attacks and can also fly.
Full geo + Itto C1 works for me. I use Itto Gorou Zhongli Bennett, as soon as the wolflord comes out of its punani hole, get some energy, then try to hit it from afar when it flies, and try to recognize its atk pattern, Then I Bennett ult, Gorou ult and Itto ult > Ushi try to get it mid life. Then i drops the small wolf heads > tap (not press) Zhongli skill to destroy the heads (use Gorou CA/skill if necessary). Then when it drops, that's your window for getting rid of it.
I use two teams mainly, first half is usually kazuha, Xiangling, Zhongli, razor and it's basically kazuha doing most of the work. Second half is what I affectionately call freeze bloom, with kaeya, nahida, barbara, fischl and everyone pulls their weight there
The Spiral Abyss is turning into the Genshin version of the Deep End, literally impossible for those who don't C6 and get every 5 star with their weapons and signature artifacts
It's the damn bonuses man, they always favor the banner characters so much some floors just feel tailor made for them. If you don't have anything similar, you're screwed. I was able to 32-33 star the Abyss recently, now I'm back to 29 and only using goddamn DPS Venti build 😭
exactly, like its possible to beat with non banner characters but man, they really tailor them to the current characters and im not really a fan of that
As someone who only has 5 5* star characters (including traveler) and has a few 4* I only managed to get to floor 11-2 in spiral abyss. Someone send help 😭
I had to use three different teams for the last floor but it was much easier than the last time because now I already knew the teams I wanted to bring.
I used Raiden Shogun, Yelan, Bennett & Xiangling on the first half and Kokomi, Nilou, Nahida & Dendro Traveller on the second half, fighting the golden wolf its just like activate the transmutator 3 times with Nilou so it was surprisingly easy, and Nahida+Kokomi can easily hit the wolf when it flies around
My main teams are Ayaka, Kazuha, Shenhe, and Barbara; Nilou, Nahida, Yelan, and Barbara. Other characters that get frequent picks are: Bennett, Raiden, Yoimiya, Fischl, Yae Miko, and Mona. Qiqi and Xingqiu get occasional picks.
if you don't have a full geo team, i highly recommend this one for the wolflord: [kokomi+zhongli+nahida+kuki]. if you don't have kokomo you can use barbara. this is a hyperbloom team, almost 90% damage are from the seeds. the seeds can auto trace the lord. and kokomi/barbara is a strong healer. but just make sure to level up kuki to 90 and give her the EM set and the iron sting.
This is an abyss I'm pretty happy that I'm able to complete 36* as F2P. Great Run Doro!!. I used Hu Tao, Xingchiu, Fischl and Tankfei for first half of floor 12 and Ayato, Xianling, Yun Jin and Bennett for second half. :3
Doro for the wolf, try yoimiya yelan and zhongli. If the wolf start to fly just put zhong pillar and go on top of the pillar than burst with yelan and do yoimiya E, if u start to auto attack u will hit the wolf. If the wolf spawn the little 4 wolfs than use zhong E with long pressure for the first one the second ome burst with zhong for the 3d use zhong normal E and for the last u should be able to use zhonf charged E. If this zhong rotation do not work than add another geo at the team yoimiya and yelan should be enaugh (sorry for my bad english)
Yae & Nahida worked wonders for me against Wolflord. No normal attacks needed. They are my AFK teams against that flying boss. And then I use Zhongli skill when the three dogs come up.
Nah, I'm doing most of the abyss for the rewards. But I usually avoid floor 12. I'm not trying to have cracked builds in all honesty. I always try to go for decent builds. But wow, I didn't realize that you had so many characters. It's amazing to see something like that!
Idk how to feel about the fact that I find this abyss way easier than the last lmao. My wanderer is not fully built, I don't have itto, but I did it several times with different teams (like national, mono hydro with dps kokomi, mono pyro with klee, mono cryo which has my best builds but was worse than pyro, hyperbloom, etc) and I also managed to 9* 12 with 4*s only for the first time, including 3 and 4* weapons only. I basically did heizou national first side and hyperbloom second side (barbara 4p clam, kuki 4p gilded, collei 4p deepwood and lv20 ningguang with prot amber). My friend struggled a lot to do it tho, and they have a c3 nahida and tignari with hunters path (f2p btw lol they are that lucky) and I just find it interesting how certain characters and teams can make it easier or harder. But I can conclude that kuki is cracked and hyperbloom is insane, if you struggle with abyss, just play hyperbloom fr (raiden also works similarly, maybe better. I dont have raiden tho).
Floor 12 1st half- raiden shogun, dendro mc, Kuki shinobu, xingiu 2nd half - zhongli, yunjin, kazuha, ayato Had to restart sometimes bc of low hp and not so good dodging with the corrosion doggos on 2nd half since I didn’t have a healer. Also had to keep 2 geo in my 2nd team to destroy the wolf head thingies the golden wolf lord deploy when he gets his shield. I will preface this by saying I am a ayato main so he is hyper invested with his signature weapon and I was probably gonna use him regardless lol.
I 36 stared it with this set up: Top: Itto, Albedo, Zhongli, Gorou. Mono Geo easily unga bungas everything as long as corrosion isn’t in play. The only thing that gave them a hiccup was the pyro abyss lector but Geo is ok for breaking elemental shields so it wasn’t much of an issue. Bottom: Nahida, Raiden, Yelan (Ninggaung for F12), Kokomi Hyperbloom is deals stupidly high dmg, especially since my Raiden has over 1000 EM and Hyperblooms can hit the wolflord while it’s flying. Combined with Nahida’s huge personal dmg they trivialize all threats. Kokomi makes corrosion a non-issue and since her normals auto lock to targets I could hit the Wolflord while it was in flight. Yelan’s crazy personal dmg helps a lot, but I had to swap her for my unbuilt Ninggaung for floor 12 to break the shields of the Wolflord. I equipped an R5 TTDS on her to at least give her some value for the other floors. I actually really enjoyed this cycle. It was pretty easy but a nice little challenge.
Thought 3.2 abyss was hard, this is even more difficult! I hate those rifthounds and the wolflord. I love Itto but I hate that everytime he's on the banner, the wolflord reappears. Argg Anyhow, used the mono-geo (Itto, Zhongli, Albedo, Gurou) on the 2nd team of floor 12. They all die in chamber 3. Redid it after N tries with Bennett and Ningguang instead of Albedo & Gurou and managed to get 30 stars. As for my 1st team, any strong team will do. Personally I used Wanderer, Thoma, Raiden & Xinqiu. Will probably do it again with improved artifacts and weapons. 😅
I also used the same team for the Wolflord (Bennett, Itto, Gorou and Zhongli) and I cleared it by accidentally doing dragonstrike with Itto when it was down 🤣 those plunge attacks really helped kill the wolf in the tightest clutch time ever🗿
I've always been using mono geo in abyss but ofc I make variations of it and add non geo if necessary but Itto has been carrying me in the abyss. This time though I did the abyss with mono anemo variant team with Wanderer, crit kazuha, Faruzan, Thoma and the usual 3 geo with Bennett for heals and honestly its actually fun team.
I used mono geo on 1st half and hyperbloom + lv20 ninguang on 2nd half xD They clearly made the abyss for those that kinda care about it because they know most ppl don't do it anyway even when it's easier xD
All those people in chat asking for Eula. She is really strong in every abyss and actually you can go with her in this abyss at 12-2 and kill the Wolflord in one rotation before his shield phase even at C0.
it's actually my first time getting 31 stars. i always get enough for 450 primos 27-29 stars. the wolf boss is hard but the other levels were doable even if i had an unbuilt lvl 50 ningguang running with raiden nahida and jean. As a f2p i think if i built my supports enough 36 stars are still achievable.
As someone who's only 3 months into genshin I'm definitely not clearing floor 12 anytime soon lol Floor 11 is already painful enough by itself that it's probably lucky if i even get 6 stars

i like using Nahida + Fischl (cause i dont have yae miko) and double geo. lets me hit the wolflord even as its flying.
I use Itto, Gorou, Albedo and Zhongli against the wolf lord. I also used Raiden HyperCarry the first time and I got 620k+ damage with them

If you keep wolflord's hp between "the" and "Rift", it may allow you to do another rotation before it goes to shield phase

i do that too, i change teams sometimes after getting 3 stars on earlier floors lol
but this is not a best team for the 3rd chamber. Yoimiya can't deal AoE damage to the dogs.

Nearly CLEARED floor 12, 0 stars , was down to 1/10th of a rifthound's healthbar before my entire team corroded away. So close, yet so far.

The real struggle is playing on mobile and the enemies spawning after 10 seconds. 10 whole seconds. I'm not even kidding the record once was 15.

I always take yunjin with me when i go against wolflord cause she instantly breaks the shield totems with her full charge

I have 36 stared it before and I doubt I'll have huge troubles doing it again- I just don't feel like stressing myself over 150 primos 🤡 also since floor 9 and 10 especially are very easy to clear- I would love to see you clear them with randomly generated teams 👀 and for 11 you could do 3 random characters for each team and then decide 1 yourself (cuz Imagine you get all unbuild or half build characters and you try to clear it- that would just hurt to watch lmao)

My only problem is floor 12 - 2nd half (still got it to 9 stars). Wolflord seems hard but the trick I use is to burst him quickly so he can bring his shield up asap. Then immediately swap to ningguang coz she can easily destroy those wolf heads or whatever in 3-4 autos (only 2 with E). Even an unbuilt, low level ningguang can do it so abuse that

Yae Miko supremacy against the Golden Wolflord, constant 20k hits then Raiden + Kazuha bursts when it lands. For me, the last floor was the most difficult especially since I had to use Ganyu against the boss in order to beat second half

I put in my Hutao team for the second half without looking up the details(usually doesn’t matter), then I saw the Doggies on floor 12 second half: time for some extreme sports baby.
The way i deal with with the wolf lord is actually not to go full geo because all u need is one geo character to deal with the heads. But because he keeps flying, i use yae for her turrets and wanderer as he has ranged attacks and can also fly.
Started 4.5 months ago this is my first time reaching floor 12-3 and my god i cant deal with those second half rift bitches
Full geo + Itto C1 works for me. I use Itto Gorou Zhongli Bennett, as soon as the wolflord comes out of its punani hole, get some energy, then try to hit it from afar when it flies, and try to recognize its atk pattern, Then I Bennett ult, Gorou ult and Itto ult > Ushi try to get it mid life. Then i drops the small wolf heads > tap (not press) Zhongli skill to destroy the heads (use Gorou CA/skill if necessary). Then when it drops, that's your window for getting rid of it.

I use two teams mainly, first half is usually kazuha, Xiangling, Zhongli, razor and it's basically kazuha doing most of the work. Second half is what I affectionately call freeze bloom, with kaeya, nahida, barbara, fischl and everyone pulls their weight there

It's the damn bonuses man, they always favor the banner characters so much some floors just feel tailor made for them. If you don't have anything similar, you're screwed. I was able to 32-33 star the Abyss recently, now I'm back to 29 and only using goddamn DPS Venti build 😭
exactly, like its possible to beat with non banner characters but man, they really tailor them to the current characters and im not really a fan of that
As someone who only has 5 5* star characters (including traveler) and has a few 4* I only managed to get to floor 11-2 in spiral abyss. Someone send help 😭
I had to use three different teams for the last floor but it was much easier than the last time because now I already knew the teams I wanted to bring.
Floor 12
First half - Raiden, Nahida, Kokomi and Sara
Second Half- Wanderer, Faruzan, Benny, Zhongli
I used Raiden Shogun, Yelan, Bennett & Xiangling on the first half and Kokomi, Nilou, Nahida & Dendro Traveller on the second half, fighting the golden wolf its just like activate the transmutator 3 times with Nilou so it was surprisingly easy, and Nahida+Kokomi can easily hit the wolf when it flies around
Those 15 rifthounds made me wish i have kokomi. Not just her donut.
My main teams are Ayaka, Kazuha, Shenhe, and Barbara; Nilou, Nahida, Yelan, and Barbara. Other characters that get frequent picks are: Bennett, Raiden, Yoimiya, Fischl, Yae Miko, and Mona.
Qiqi and Xingqiu get occasional picks.
if you don't have a full geo team, i highly recommend this one for the wolflord: [kokomi+zhongli+nahida+kuki]. if you don't have kokomo you can use barbara. this is a hyperbloom team, almost 90% damage are from the seeds. the seeds can auto trace the lord. and kokomi/barbara is a strong healer. but just make sure to level up kuki to 90 and give her the EM set and the iron sting.
This is an abyss I'm pretty happy that I'm able to complete 36* as F2P. Great Run Doro!!. I used Hu Tao, Xingchiu, Fischl and Tankfei for first half of floor 12 and Ayato, Xianling, Yun Jin and Bennett for second half. :3

Doro for the wolf, try yoimiya yelan and zhongli. If the wolf start to fly just put zhong pillar and go on top of the pillar than burst with yelan and do yoimiya E, if u start to auto attack u will hit the wolf. If the wolf spawn the little 4 wolfs than use zhong E with long pressure for the first one the second ome burst with zhong for the 3d use zhong normal E and for the last u should be able to use zhonf charged E. If this zhong rotation do not work than add another geo at the team yoimiya and yelan should be enaugh (sorry for my bad english)
Yae & Nahida worked wonders for me against Wolflord. No normal attacks needed. They are my AFK teams against that flying boss. And then I use Zhongli skill when the three dogs come up.
Nah, I'm doing most of the abyss for the rewards. But I usually avoid floor 12.
I'm not trying to have cracked builds in all honesty. I always try to go for decent builds.

i loved spiral abyss this time cuz of the anemo buff on floor 11 (anemo main here) but i never go past 11-3 so it's all good 👍💀

Idk how to feel about the fact that I find this abyss way easier than the last lmao. My wanderer is not fully built, I don't have itto, but I did it several times with different teams (like national, mono hydro with dps kokomi, mono pyro with klee, mono cryo which has my best builds but was worse than pyro, hyperbloom, etc) and I also managed to 9* 12 with 4*s only for the first time, including 3 and 4* weapons only. I basically did heizou national first side and hyperbloom second side (barbara 4p clam, kuki 4p gilded, collei 4p deepwood and lv20 ningguang with prot amber). My friend struggled a lot to do it tho, and they have a c3 nahida and tignari with hunters path (f2p btw lol they are that lucky) and I just find it interesting how certain characters and teams can make it easier or harder.
But I can conclude that kuki is cracked and hyperbloom is insane, if you struggle with abyss, just play hyperbloom fr (raiden also works similarly, maybe better. I dont have raiden tho).

Had to restart sometimes bc of low hp and not so good dodging with the corrosion doggos on 2nd half since I didn’t have a healer. Also had to keep 2 geo in my 2nd team to destroy the wolf head thingies the golden wolf lord deploy when he gets his shield. I will preface this by saying I am a ayato main so he is hyper invested with his signature weapon and I was probably gonna use him regardless lol.
Bennett being the only 4 star since Genshin's release which hasn't left a single spiral abyss stage without him in a team

I 36 stared it with this set up:
Top: Itto, Albedo, Zhongli, Gorou.
Mono Geo easily unga bungas everything as long as corrosion isn’t in play.
The only thing that gave them a hiccup was the pyro abyss lector but Geo is ok for breaking elemental shields so it wasn’t much of an issue.
Bottom: Nahida, Raiden, Yelan (Ninggaung for F12), Kokomi
Hyperbloom is deals stupidly high dmg, especially since my Raiden has over 1000 EM and Hyperblooms can hit the wolflord while it’s flying. Combined with Nahida’s huge personal dmg they trivialize all threats.
Kokomi makes corrosion a non-issue and since her normals auto lock to targets I could hit the Wolflord while it was in flight.
Yelan’s crazy personal dmg helps a lot, but I had to swap her for my unbuilt Ninggaung for floor 12 to break the shields of the Wolflord. I equipped an R5 TTDS on her to at least give her some value for the other floors.
I actually really enjoyed this cycle. It was pretty easy but a nice little challenge.
Thought 3.2 abyss was hard, this is even more difficult! I hate those rifthounds and the wolflord. I love Itto but I hate that everytime he's on the banner, the wolflord reappears. Argg
Anyhow, used the mono-geo (Itto, Zhongli, Albedo, Gurou) on the 2nd team of floor 12. They all die in chamber 3. Redid it after N tries with Bennett and Ningguang instead of Albedo & Gurou and managed to get 30 stars. As for my 1st team, any strong team will do. Personally I used Wanderer, Thoma, Raiden & Xinqiu. Will probably do it again with improved artifacts and weapons. 😅

I also used the same team for the Wolflord (Bennett, Itto, Gorou and Zhongli) and I cleared it by accidentally doing dragonstrike with Itto when it was down 🤣 those plunge attacks really helped kill the wolf in the tightest clutch time ever🗿
I've always been using mono geo in abyss but ofc I make variations of it and add non geo if necessary but Itto has been carrying me in the abyss. This time though I did the abyss with mono anemo variant team with Wanderer, crit kazuha, Faruzan, Thoma and the usual 3 geo with Bennett for heals and honestly its actually fun team.
I used mono geo on 1st half and hyperbloom + lv20 ninguang on 2nd half xD
They clearly made the abyss for those that kinda care about it because they know most ppl don't do it anyway even when it's easier xD
All those people in chat asking for Eula. She is really strong in every abyss and actually you can go with her in this abyss at 12-2 and kill the Wolflord in one rotation before his shield phase even at C0.
it's actually my first time getting 31 stars. i always get enough for 450 primos 27-29 stars. the wolf boss is hard but the other levels were doable even if i had an unbuilt lvl 50 ningguang running with raiden nahida and jean. As a f2p i think if i built my supports enough 36 stars are still achievable.
I put as much em possible on Nahida, Kuki and Koko and use hyperbloom as green rockets ro hit the stupid wolf. My Nahida was like a war helicopter

The fact is the Abyss 3.3 is more Streamer and Whale friendly. Mihoyo is so smart that they thought corrosion is the solution for anxiety.
recommendation for this this abyss-> first half: raiden national, second half: kokomi/barbara+nahida/dendro traveler+zhongli/ningguang+kuki.
the only must-have five star is C0 raiden shogun. just remember to level kuki to 90 and give her the EM set and iron sting.
11-3 chamber 2 is hell , like how the fcck my klee can hit flying enemies
