  • I spent a morning with the KCTS (Kootenay Columbia Trail Society) trail crew working on a portion of the epic Mxiɬp Xewílh (Cedar Trail), which will ultimately link Seven Summits trail back to Red Mountain and the city of Rossland. The trail is just outside of Rossland, British Columbia Canada.
For those who like the technical bits I spent about 3 hours with the crew shooting with a Canon R6 and a DJI Mini 3 Pro. I used 16-35mm and 70-200mm lenses shooting handheld with the Canon R6. Overall, I shot 44 clips with the Mini 3 Pro but only ended up using five shots, which are obvious. The rest of the footage was captured with the R6. Sound was recorded with an on-camera Rode VideoMic Pro. The video was edited in Final Cut Pro.
    As always, thanks for watching!

Having access to nature like that is just awesome. Good thing that region was spared from wildfires. Kelowna is just 3 hours(ish) away.

I know it and am ever so grateful. This year there were two small fires in the area but thankfully they were caught and extinguished quickly. I do worry that one of these years we won't be so lucky.
