Festival de la Esperanza: Costa Rica

Por primera vez en Latinoamérica, el Festival de la Esperanza celebró al estilo ‘Pura Vida’ los maravillosos proyectos de 21 delegaciones de estudiantes agentes del cambio. Inspirados por el liderazgo en #sostenibilidad de Costa Rica, y organizado por el equipo de United World College Costa Rica, iniciamos nuestra jornada inmersos en la naturaleza, entre los extraordinarios bosques de San Isidro. Se llevaron a cabo talleres dirigidos por jóvenes enfocados en sostenibilidad, biomímesis y aprendizaje en armonía con la naturaleza. Durante el almuerzo, el activista climático y fundador de la aplicación HERO, Mauricio Porras, compartió sus experiencias trabajando por un cambio sistémico hacia un mundo mejor.
¡El día concluyó con un festival de proyectos, donde se celebraron todas estas increíbles iniciativas estudiantiles! Queremos agradecer a todos los que participaron.

For the first time in Latin America, the Festival of Hope celebrated the wonderful projects of 21 delegations of student agents of change in the style of 'Pura Vida'.
Inspired by Costa Rica's leadership in #sustainability and organized by the team, we started our journey immersed in nature among the extraordinary forests of San Isidro. Youth-led workshops focused on sustainability, biomimicry, and learning in harmony with nature were held.
Over lunch, climate activist and founder of the app, Mauricio Porras, shared his experiences working for systemic change towards a better world.
The day concluded with a project festival celebrating all these amazing student initiatives! We want to thank everyone who participated.
