I know it is a lottery as to what room you get, but do you think you could talk about how I can maximize my chances? along with if they tell you what room you get or if you go an select? Like how does the room selection process work after you put your top 3 choices? I hope that made sense hahaha

Hey Wynette! I'm gonna be attending Mac this fall (exception) and I'll be living in PGCLL. I was just wondering if the mattress is comfortable or should I purchase a little mattress topper for it to go on top? Thanks!
Isela McIntosh Hey Isela! The mattress is honestly not the most comfortable. I would suggest a mattress topper. Although I didn’t have one, I probably should have. Took me a few months to get comfy.

Girl! I’ve made a huge mistake. So I applied for residence on the deadline because of some miscommunication, so I basically rushed it and did little research. Fast forward today, I just realized that I picked horrible residence, literally the exact ones I did not want. It’s ranked and I can’t change it. What do I do? I already sent an email

@@itswynette I haven’t gotten a response from the email but I talked to someone on the online chat and she basically said I should consider the room change request mid July and pay $75. I only get it if someone cancels. What do you suggest/think?

Janica Mae hey! So first don’t choose an LLC, quiet floor, no drinking floor, or a roomate. Then rank “super single with connected shared washroom” 1st. Then “single with connect shared washroom” 2nd. Then “double with connected shared washroom” 3rd. That’s how I maximized my chances.

Hey I have a question. So I’ve really been thinking whether or not I should go into business. I don’t like math much, by what you’ve done in uni so far do you think I should go into it. I love economics and my business courses but I don’t really like math
An hak I don’t really like math either! I really did love my business courses in high school, just like you! Would you be comfortable sharing your math marks?
In functions I got 90, I took data management second semester of grade 11 and got 92. And I’m doing advanced and calc this year. But I do not enjoy it😂 I just wanna know if business really does have that much math. I really want to go to McMaster as well!
An hak ok we’re in the exact same boat. I DO NOT like math. Like ofc it’s kinda satisfying when you get the answers, but it’s not something I particularly enjoy. Because you took data, you’ll only have to take one math course your first year. It’s “calculus for business”.
I did not take data in high school, so I have to take stats and calc my first year here. 😂😭. Stats is not that that bad right now. I still work really hard and do my homework every night.
You will be fine. You’re good at math, but you don’t like it. You’ll do well! And you only have to take one math. If you like business, do it! Math is only a means to an end.

thX for the vids! i have a question about Canadian unis, do most students live in dorms or do most first year live in dorms? it’s strange i always heard the Canda is not like here in the USA where most people live in dorms first but then usually live home, i heard in Canda it is more normal to commute, or in guessing because you are going to a nice uni they offer more dorms than the average one in Canada? thx again!
Kennesey Ldl hey! in Canada, if a person lives close enough, they will usually commute. If not, they will live on res first year and live close to campus in a house/condo the remaining years. Is that similar to the states?
itswynette oh okay i understand, thank you! in the USA i think it’s similar, but there’s usually a stereotype of the whole dorms and really strong social life like clubs etc i here like the movies compared to the rest of the world so i was just curious. but i heard that it’s a lot less in Canada and commuting and not living in dorms was more normal, thank u!

if i'm being completely honest, it was very difficult in the beginning. it's weird living alone. i had to go out of my comfort zone to make friends because i didn't have a roommate to stick to. but i started meeting some really cool people and i now have some good friends. it gets better each week. i'm really starting to enjoy it and i think you will to! do you have any more questions?

You can choose a roomate if you want. You can choose a single or double room, but there's no guarantee you'll get it.

Hey! Did you say you set up a google home?? I’ve been trying and I can’t get mine to work! How did you do it??
allison wren omg it took me awhile to figure it out. It’s kinda iffy the way I have it setup lol. Basically I used my computer to create a hotspot. There are videos showing how to do that for your specific computer.
However, every time you take your computer to class, the “hotspot” is gone and the connection to your google home will drop. It’s really on and off. Hopefully you can make it work better though!

ummm what's the difference between single room and super single room at perter george llc? They look the same from school website's picture XD
hahaha, I totally get what you mean! The difference is in the washroom. My washroom is huge b/c it's wheelchair accessible. A single room has a slightly smaller washroom. My washroom actually flooded b/c there was no ledge. I suggest going with the single room as the size of the room is the same.

Lauren Dalueg I love love love my single room. I really need complete silence and no distractions when I’m studying. The single room is amazing for that.
I will admit, at the beginning it was really hard to make friends. I didn’t get an “automatic friend.” But it pushed me out of my comfort zone and I eventually made friends. I love visiting their rooms but also having my own place to come back to.
My friends in doubles sometimes tell me that they wish they’d have their own space once in awhile.
