The opening with the bugler sounding "Boots and Saddles" drew me to the tv like a moth to a flame! I was a kid when I watched this series in the UK. - It actually finished my scouting career because it was shown on the same evening as my local scout troop meeting. I had to choose between learning to tie knots and camping craft or saddling up and riding off to battle with bugles ringing and guidons flying....NO CONTEST! - incidentally, UCLA have 6 episodes in their archives: Eps 2.The Repeater Rifle, 6.The Paymaster 7.Terror At Fort Lowell, 33.The Superstition, 36.Weight Of Command, and 37.The Decision. - Oh how I wish they would restore them and make them available to the public!

Great show! Bob forgot to mention the coffee while you watch your Western TV show in the morning! It's a tragedy when any of these vintage TV Show episodes are no longer in existence. Dragnet from the 1950's seems to have possibly lost 3/4 of all episodes made then. The only hope it seems those missing episodes to time can surface, is only a "maybe" that Jack Webb's family may have those inn their estate. So far though, no proof of that being the case. Just an awful and terrible loss. If in my lifetime those missing Dragnet films could surface and be released would be quite a gift! Come on everyone, dig out the lost films, please!

Glad to see you are presenting these episodes. It's an absolute disgrace that our society allows old classics to disappear and deteriorate. More effort should be made to preserve things from the past. Another example of a lost western is the "Gray Ghost", another 1950s series which showed Confederate forces in a heroic light-----and thus is considered politically incorrect these days. Nevertheless, IT SHOULD BE PRESERVED. It was a good show ( I think one or two episodes are on RUclips).

Actually somewhat accurate. Apaches usually fought on foot did not ride charging into it.

Weapon inaccuracy, which was not unusual for shows of that period. Cavalry did not use Winchester rifles.

This is a great series with at least three other episodes still in circulation.
Wouldn't it be magic though to acquire the five or six episodes currently held for research students at
u c l a. With all the advances in techknowledge it should be an easy transfer and they have some of the best of the series.
Now that would be a real feather in the cap for westerns on the web.
Again thanks for all your work and effort.
    Cheers from Australia.

I love this series , it was a major part of my childhood I the fifties, and these missing six episodes appear to be there on that site.
      Fabulous stories.
I can't access from Australia but you guys can.!!!!
That would be amazing and bring back wonder to a mid seventy year old..
      Please try.

Judging by the comments you'd think ABC or CBS would listen and take note. I don't see why a new series of something like this hasn't taken flight. Rather than the game shows that seem to rate..

I am confused, you say this is the 34th Forsaken Western. When I check the playlist, it has 33 videos, however, three are promotional videos. Checking IMDB, they list 2 other episodes that I cannot find here. A Tale of Wells Fargo and Paper Gunman. Am I missing something?

    • @discobear5752

It looks like you have to subscribe to westernschannel.com to see those two episodes.
      westernstv.com/the-forsaken-westerns/the-forsaken-westerns-paper-gunman-tv-show/ and
westernstv.com/the-forsaken-westerns/the-forsaken-westerns-a-tale-of-wells-fargo-tv-show/ both say "ONLY AVAILABLE ON WESTERNSCHANNEL.COM" . If you pick some other episode, a RUclips window appears, e.g. westernstv.com/the-forsaken-westerns/the-forsaken-westerns-the-buckskin-rangers-tv-show/ .
