I honestly believe that if this game hadn’t released just after Skyrim did, maybe a year or two after, it would have gotten the recognition it deserved.
This game was my childhood. Amazing gameplay and visuals. The variety of weapons and armor. I have played for 7 years and i still find unique weapons and armor. It deserves a sequel. Who agrees
If a sequel is on the table, they have to keep this combat style, its so good and one of a kind. i would even say that one should get this game just for its combat style.
I just started playing this for the first time and I love it. I think I like it more than Skyrim. If Skyrim had this type of combat it would make it so much better. KOA is underrated.
Man, I really love Alyn Shir's voice. This game has amazing voice acting. I already played the game, but seeing Cowboy, one of my fav youtubers playing KoA, one of my favorite games, that is a treat.
Seriously one of the best and most underappreciated games I've ever played. Honestly, it's a beautiful open world experience with a story written by some of the best fantasy writers in the world.
I remember when i played this game long long ago when i was much younger(much too young in fact) wondering why there aren't more games like this. This remaster takes me far back in memory lane.

@@SickTruck There's a mini-docu on the failure of the whole project and how it failed thanks to the bad allocation of money and resources/costs etc. Pretty sad. But, it became a sort of cult classic imo.

I love this game, I am so happy it got re-released. I’ll be getting it at the end of the week! Now if only DA: Origins and Lost Odyssey would get remasters, I’d be a real happy gamer.
BlowFish True enough. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the original simply because it was an expansive ARPG. Plus I never got to play the DLCs, so it’ll be a stoked experience for me to do them for the first time.
I remember playing the original and loving it so much....I pretty much mained knives and Chakrams but added spells and might skills so when Sneak Attack failed.....my servants and magic didn't. I can't remember what my class was...just that my dodge was a poisonous teleport....glorious way to kill hordes.
The only thing I dont like about the game is that its relatively short and has very little replayability. I beat it 2 or 3 times to get all the achievements but it was very tedious after I beat the game
I played the original when it came out and yes it was def an overlooked gem! Great game, heavy on the hack and slash but I enjoyed every minute of game play. FYI.. RA Salvatore the writer that brought us the story of Drizzt and the Companions of the Hall and writer of many Forgotten Realms books wrote the Lore for this game!
I sunk a million hours into Skyrim when it first came out and only just learned of this game. Luckily I got it for free from PS+ on my PS5 so I can't wait to get into this!
This is only the 2nd rpg I've played. The other is Dragon Age Origins, which I can never finish due to frequent freezeups! I love the graphic environment in KOA.

Literally my all time favorite game ever. My only gripes are that it’d be dope to be able to dual wield, and mos defo would have been IMMACULATE if you could play with friends. No game would be able to touch it if you could co-op with friends
I had recently downloaded this game for the first time and honestly it looks good for it's time it came out and I'm enjoying the graphic improvement but there were some things I kind of wished I knew going in so I looked up some videos and yours was the best so far that I've seen in getting started off on the right track
I was enjoying video and games Pewters in the 70s and 80s but I've been playing this game and the re-reckoning version on my new laptop and desktop and enjoy these games that help your mind stay fresh and alert and I'm 55 but I still have a mindful youthful likeness for games and Technology

This is like fable but less quirky... also the music has spider man vibes!!! Its a great game... i found myself going into this just this year... 12 years after it released... really a tragedy that skyrim buried this game
One tip..if you select looted item you can imediatelly equip it,compare it w current item and put it in junk menu to sell all junk to merch..that's the major saver of time..
having overlooked this gem of an RPG back in my childhood and sinking sooo many hours into Skyrim instead. i can honestly say as an adult finally trying this remaster out... i really love it, even more. theres just something about it. once i finally sat down and got a feel for it. sad how it was skimmed over by so many folks 🥲
I don't think the cutscene is any different than the original one. At the same time Alyn Shir(Abby Craden) monologues is still wonderful as ever. Thank you Cowboy you've got new Subscriber.
Detect Hidden is probably one of the best skills to invest in early on in the game. So far I've found the updated textures and balancing they did to be worth the price of the remaster. I'm also loving the soundtrack both in-game and as an extra to listen to while studying. The troll you fought in the tower had major loot that you failed to collect in your badge to leave.
I just downloaded this game super awesome it rivals Dragon Age Origins and Skyrim I played them for years but this is awesome I cant believe this game has so much detail considering the years passed from its release date
I just found this game. I made a chick and named her Amaris. This name can mean "promised by God" or "child of the moon". A fitting name for a sneaky hero who was revived to kill the Tuatha. Time for some rogue action! :)

I actually started to upload weapon guides in Gamespot for this back in the days as I couldn't find any. Unfortunately I don't see them there any longer. Brings back great memories though.
@Natural Selector it could have been handled better nonetheless. Like, for exemple, while you're holding the bumper and it's showing you the 4 spells you press a button and it switches to another set of 4

The one thing that really irked me when playing this game was the "death to loot corpse" transition which takes a while. It's not long, like a second or two, but it really wears you out after a while when you kill something and have to wait to see if it has loot or not.

I played the heck out of the first one. This game is in my top 5 of all time. So excited to play as soon as it finishes downloading. Cowboy you are correct. This game has some of the best fighting combat ever.
Which Destiny is everyone here going to choose 1st? I'm picking Finesse/Magic first then work upto the Shadowcaster Fate. Poison Blink is so fun. Weapons will be Chakrams and Feyblades crafted to perfection once level 45

Not really a remaster offers little over the original. Them not using the words ‘re-mastered’ in there material makes more sense now.

Truly a SHAME this got buried under the Skyrim Avalanche. This game has so many pluses to it. Worth the time for a real deep dive!

I thought they hadn’t re-worked the textures? Just higher resolutions and a FoV slider, visuals certainly don’t look much improved.

The game encourages you to multiclass but having only a maximum of 4 spell equipped at the same time is a shame

The devs themselves said that they allowed the ability to have 8 abilities so I assume that their doing the bumber thing you suggested
@@signor_zuzzu That is exactly the way the remaster works. I believe you press Left Bumper (L1), but I'd have to open the game to confirm it 100%.

In case anyone would like to know there is an option to change the sprint mode to pushing down on the joystick. He scrolls right past it around 50:13
