Thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍😊 I try to bring some nostalgia with my videos. That’s cool you got a Tyco set for Christmas 1980 🚂 The Burlington Northern locomotive in the video is one of my locomotives that I got in 1980 as well. Some fun memories 🎄😊🎅🏻🚂
@@atjoe1972 I believe, dad and mom have the Golden Eagle in the attic. The couple toys I had I gave away over the years to kids.... Years pass by, but memories do not. Thanks.
@@andrewmoens8614 The Golden Eagle would have been the set to get in 1980 👍 I would like to get my Golden Eagle in a video sometime this year, maybe run it along side with the Silver Streak. It’s hard to believe 1980 was 42 years ago. I still have lots of fond memories from then as well 😊
@@atjoe1972 I love Christmas. It's different. Danny doesn't really do holidays well. No family around. So I do the best I can to make it a special one.b
@@SarahsAtticOfTreasures The holidays are a rough time for some people. I spend a lot of time reflecting on years gone by. The trains bring back lots of happy memories. It helps keep my mind of of things like the Pandemic as well. I start preparing for my Christmas display in September. If you wait the stores sellout of the stuff I need. I want to do a Halloween set up this year. Hopefully I will have the time to build it. 🎃
@@EmpireBeltRR I have an old guy work around for the floor train running. I use my dog’s floor bed to sit and lay on. Since it’s Winter here, I don’t have to worry about fleas and ticks. 😆🐶
Thanks! One of my few out in the wild finds this year. I was going to do a unboxing video of it, but I sounded like a dork and just deleted it. 😆 I hope you have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Yes, I do remember these in Model Railroader. These you have here really jog my memory. It would be one more year later (1981) that I dug out my trains I had in the 60's and 70's and got back into them. This time it was Athearn engines and I dont know if you remember ( Pemco ) trains. The Pemco line of Diesel Locomotives were awful performance. I had some of them and were very cheaply made and virtually got worse as you ran them and terrible big wheel flanges that derailed at turnouts.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video and hopefully brought back some pleasant memories. 1980 was pretty much the end of my childhood Tyco era. The Burlington Northern GP20 was my last acquisition from that time. After that it was pretty much Athearn trains. I do remember Pemco. There was a place out of New Jersey? Called Hobbies for Men that used to have full page ads for Pemco. That’s too bad they were so awful. I was interested in their SD35, but never bought any of their products. 1981 was a good year for Model Railroading 👍
@@aerobee58 Completely agree Athearn Blue Box is the best deal for the money. I still get excited putting together an unbuilt Athearn kit. Brings back some fond memories 👍🚂
Thanks so much, trains under the Christmas tree, what a wonderful sight for kids of all ages. I had a Tyco for 1980 Christmas.😊🎄🎁🎀🍬

@@atjoe1972 Indeed, soon enough it will be fifty years. To think, Tyco has long been out of the toy business.
Very nice
Thank you very much 👍 I’m hoping to make a 1976 or 77 version of it this year 🎄
Awesome thanks for the trip down memory lan🎅

From Tyco - - - - of course! Like the old T V commercial used to say.
LOL, I can still hear that slogan in my head 😉 Thanks for watching! 🚂

You continue to make great Christmas train videos!!! I could lay on the floor watching these trains for hours!!! Thanks ATJOE!!!
I agree with laying on the floor John. However I will stick to the chair or couch because my back dont like the floor like it used to. lol
