Beautiful vid mate. Really relaxing :) Bought my X300 in 1998 used, my first proper camera and still have it thankfully. Seeing this makes me want to get it out again.
FYI my kit lens with my X300 back in 1985 was the splendid, light and cheap 50mm f1.7. Great video, great shots... BTW I used to always use Kodak Gold iso200. Just so you know, my 58 f1.4 while great at f2, the 50 1.7 is sharper wide open. Look forward to your next video and seeing more of South Africa
Thanks. I have heard some very good things about the f1.7 and should I stumble upon one i will give it a try. Thanks again for the support and kind words.
Hey Rowan awesome video mate I had and sold the Minolta 7000 I still own the 9 which o love but I love the look of the X300 so I bought one along with an old zenit which was an epic fail vid up soon. So time to dust off the x300 and give it a nudge such a lovely camera to use. Anyway cracking video and images happy to like and sub for more content. Regards from NZ📷❤️📷
would love if youtubers would write f. iso, shutter speed and conditions just as a small foot note on their example photos, they show in their videoes..
Just stumbled across this as I just revived my X-300 I had for a good 20 years now.
Stay safe ✌️
Im looking at an X300. This Kodak Gold seems to go very well with it! Great video, thank you!

How did you meter for these shots? In-camera? Mine always seems to underexpose.
I metered these using the in camera meter.
Got the same cam too also From SA been sitting around for 3 months wanna use it now .
