16:05 This last room is a duplicate. The level's creator banked on the fact that ppl usually clear challenges from left to right, and the door from the last challenge leads to the duplicate room.
If you dont know how the level works at 12:14 panga collects 2 red coins. The one there and the one in the false room. You can only reach the last area when you go in the last room.
@@jarvism1449 In the real room (the one with the flagpole), there's a muncher in place of the normal pipe to take you back to the main area. So you can't go back to the replica room again after going to the last room.
At 12:18, when you kick the shell to the right, it collects 2 red coins: the obvious one standing on the ? block and then it falls down the pit, which is actually the hole in the sky of the fake replica, and collects said red coin as well
You know, "Endless Eight" would make an awesome name for a troll level where you have to go through slightly different versions of the same level eight times to collect coins. It could then get even better after the first key death.
All it is, is that only when you take the right pipe it takes you to the ending. Any other red coin room takes you to a duplicate one. And the shell in the last room collects the red coin in the duplicate room off screen
Explanation: the room with the goal is not the room with the cp. it’s a different room. The shell in the last room gets the fake safety coin in the CP room. The door at the end of the section leads you to a different room than the checkpoint room
Now that Panga has learned a lot of the modern troll meta, it’s quite fun to watch him play these troll levels. A good troll level is like those fake martial arts. You have to first learn the troll meta to get trolled by the meta. And that’s what makes these levels fun to watch. At first he played them like kaizo levels and it was interesting to see but not as fun.
Everyone's explaining how the red coin in the fake final room was collected, but nobody's explaining how the maker clear-checked it. Obviously, if you just go into the final room first, the cannon blocks the door and you end up dying. But you don't need a "dev door," and you also don't need to do all the rooms in order. You just need to pick one other room that you know you can get through when the switches are in the on state. Also, either going through that room must trigger an off switch, or there's a dev key somewhere. This requires some more explanation, and I may be wrong, but here's how I think it works: Alex said the rooms must change due to on/off states, which I'm using as my basis here. Every time you go through any of the rooms (including the starting room, before the checkpoint), an on switch gets hit, and it resets to the initial off state when you respawn at the checkpoint. That means if you enter a room after making it through another room (including the first room), it's in the on state. That changes the things that happen and the choices you have to make in each room. I believe it might make some of the rooms impossible, but the maker assumes you won't realize that and just think you got trolled. However, as I said above, one of them must be possible to clear in that state. How do I know the starting room triggers an on switch as well? Look carefully at 1:43 to see the screen shake as the switch is triggered offscreen. Then, no potabo appears in the leftmost room the first time he goes into it (on state), but one appears on every subsequent attempt (off state). I haven't checked through every other room, but there's probably either an offscreen trigger (screen shake) or a voluntary required on switch in each one. Case #1: When the maker went through the starting room, an on switch was hit, and they hit the checkpoint in the on state. They went into the one room they had set up for the clear check. The off switch was hit as they went through that room, and they exited the room (into the fake final room) in the off state. Then when they went back through the split, they picked the final (rightmost) room, and because they entered it in the off state, it worked as it would have if they had respawned. The door wasn't blocked, and they were able to enter the flag room and clear the level. Case #2: Everything worked the same up until they entered the set-up room, except that they collected a dev key either somewhere in the first room, the split room, or that set-up room. Then when they exited the room into the fake flag room, the switch was still in the on state, but it didn't matter because they just used their key to enter the key door and came out of the other one in the real flag room, right next to the flag. If there's no dev key, all this is probably useless in terms of speedrunning the level, because finding the fastest death after CP1 is probably the best way to reset the state to off.
The first level is honestly genius I saw it ages back and the tl;dr is everything but the right pipe actually takes you to the right pipe's section. When you kick the shell, it goes down the hole into that area, and collects the red coin at the door. However, when you go to the false checkpoint room at the end of the right pipe, the final red coin (on top of the flag) is collected to trick the player temporarily.
There is definitely something that I don't understand in these levels, how do they make all of these mechanism to make you find yourself in a replica and just make you lose your mind... I basically can't imagine how all of this work in the game If someone know that a little better, can you explain to me a bit more how everything work? Anyways I'm always so impressed by the complexity of those levels!
Pyxi The shellmet Panga kicked actually collected two red coins, including the one at the finish. That’s what the shaft to the left was for. The other one was a twice twice! Troll creators are amazing
Hey Panga, the Banned Wagon made a new level for DGR. But you'd probably like it too. And then you can start nagging DGR to play it already. BTW, your editor is getting ever better.
Hey Pangea ! Maybe for troll level, where seeing all the screen is important due to the traps everywhere, you could put your facecam in the up-left corner ? Number of coins doesnt usually matter in these kind of level.
You still need to go through big boy troll levels like Carl’s trash can, or even Geek’s Yeenis. Maybe something like Symptoms of Stupidity would be an awesome level for you to try.
Before watching any video, go to the very end of the video and press the reload button. Now you can watch the video without any ads interrupting you! :)
Basically from what I understand, theres 2 identical rooms that make up the hub room with all the pipes and doors. Taking the far right pipe is the only way to get to the room with the flag. So the red coins are a false objective, hence the comment that the creator left.
Carl explicitly tries to figure out what's happening, what are you talking about I agree, I like watching panga skill his way through 50/50's like no one's business, but I don't agree that carl doesn't try to figure anything out. That's his favorite part.
RaventhortheWarrior He has an emote called “Carl Blind” and he keeps walking into the same trolls donning the phrase “I didn’t learn anything” when I say he doesn’t actively try to figure out what’s going on, means he doesn’t pay attention half the time and does the same thing over and over which is sometimes annoying.
There's on/off switches hidden off screen somewhere that are "On" when he enters an area for the first time (blocking spawns of certain enemies or launchers or whatever else) that immediately get turned "Off". When he enters a new area without dying those switches stay "Off" loading an area one way, but if he dies and comes back those blocks go back to "On" and load a different way
Most likely on/ off switch changes. When a level starts, it will always start on one way, so the creator made it so you end the section with the on/off switch the opposite way.
