Why does every apartment, store, etc. look like it came straight out of a catalog? I love the Swedish aesthetic. Every space is so simple, chic, natural, and minimalistic. Gosh, I absolutely it!
And the shops are so neat and tidy....and the beautiful food!
I love it too. It’s so refreshing to enjoy the beauty of Sweden 🇸🇪. It looks so peaceful, calm and relaxed. Sometimes, I feel that I didn’t know much about it and Ms. Benita’s video presentation bring in me the desire to go visit the country.🙏
It is publicity video or we see a rich people or manipulated, not ordinary home and not most Swedes at all have like this.

I love watching how people live in other countries. Love learning how we’re similar and how we differ.
Where I live in 🇨🇦, sunrise is currently at 5:30am and sunset is at 10:30 but doesn’t get fully dark until midnight. We have blackout curtains in our bedroom so that it’s dark enough to sleep. I love the long days but if I’m not paying attention I’ll stay up way too late!
I went to Sweden a few years ago during Summer and it was interesting to experience the Sun setting close to 10 at night. It’s really interesting to see how different people from different parts of the world experience the seasons. Thank you for sharing Benita!

Have to take care of the animals first thing in the morning! Isn’t it amazing how fast they train us. Loved seeing the shops & the merchandise they carry. If you were to move where your friends & son live would you be able to find a place with a nice patio like you have now? Your electric buses are just like ours only your seat covers are a lot snazzier!
Mini and Bonus don’t use the patio much to be honest. If I go out they go out but otherwise they’re usually inside on a windowsill 😅

@@BenitaLarsson You are helping me see a good routine for it...including two regular friends. I also get a few traveling nurses (I offer my guest room for-from a website) and this helps. I can feel isolated more than you are naturally disposed to do. Do you have any tips on keeping cats indoors. Mine end up hanging on screens on porch or escaping..so I have a small dog...but how do you do it?

Lovely video (as always) Benita. Everything looks so clean in Sweden… buses, shops etc. I’d love to visit properly one day, as opposed to the quick one day tour I had whilst on a cruise a few years ago. I aspire to live a Skandi lifestyle.

We have the long summer days here in Northern Montana as well. Temps are near 100F for the rest of the week. We have many types and colors of sunflowers on our property. I fill large blue bowls of them and dry for the winter, The huge Mammouth ones are propped up along the fences for the wildlife in winter.

I absolutely love your DITL videos! It's so nice that you can share your lovely city with us. I'll be visiting Stockholm this August and you've already given me some good ideas about things to see while I am there. I'd love to see a video in the future of your favorite places that you suggest folks to see or activities to do while in Stockholm. Eating a kanelbulle and wandering the Gamla Stan are on my list. 💓
It is so nice to see scenes of Stockholm. Even the upholstery on the bus seats bring back memories. I am looking into keeping an apartment in Stockholm or Göteborg which is closer to my family. My mormor lived in Stockholm for a time and she always told me how much she loved it there. I agree! Tack!

Some of those shops would be very tempting. Especially the zero-waste type one with all the lovely wood brushes. I love the selection of natural fibers available. I'm envious how clean the subway and bus is. The Philadelphia ones are just gross. :-( Thanks for sharing!

We have long days of daylight here in Scotland too, sunrise this morning was around 4am and sunset at 10pm, blackout blinds in the bedrooms are great. Our weather today is around 17 degrees but next week will be around 27-29 degrees. Thank you for your video Benita, I love when you go out and about using public transport, Question - do Senior Citizens in Sweden get free bus travel when they turn 60 yrs old, we do here in Scotland.
You would get half price after 65 I believe.

Reminds me of the time I was visiting relatives on the Orkney Isles although it was not quite the height of Summer but it was still so light, and was told that so long as the weather was right there would even be midnight golf games. 🇦🇺

I live in Arizona, we put up black out curtains and other window coverings to keep the sun and heat out. The curtains make my bedroom extremely dark. I think this idea would help in your area for the sun light.

I love this video…I love all of your videos but I especially love the ones where you take us on a journey throughout your day. As an American, it is nice to see how beautiful it is there (I love European countries; Paris, London and Rome have been my favorite to visit so far) and I would love to travel to your beautiful country one day. What season would you say is the best time to travel there? I imagine that winter would be the least likely.
May through August is nice!
Your cats are very affectionate and obviously appreciate you which I lovely. My Florence is a tiny cat, she is very much loved but offers her attention sparingly which is fine and appreciated all the more when she does rub her tail in my face 😄.
Can I please ask, where did you get your desk stool? I work from home snd it looks extremely comfortable. You look very well by the by way and your hair is growing back beautifully. X

Thanks for the video. I love to go shopping with you and visit apartments. I am also the servant of my cat. 😂 I live in Brittany and it’s 36 degrees Celsius and it’s going up to 39. I dream I could fly to your place ! Here the sun rises around 5:50-6 am and the sunset is at 10 pm also. I am on the west coast. In the Eastern part of France the sun sets around 9 pm. I love this time of the year (not so much the heatwave).
Today was 28C and that’s sort of my limit 😅

I am also a slave to my cats wishes ☺️☺️☺️. He has trained me well, feeding, stroking, opening the front door so he can sniff around while I wait for him, getting out of bed to feed him and so on, but I love making him happy 😍😻😍😻😍😻

What's the temperature like Benita? Here in Asia it's the same all year out unless it rains.
Today was 28C but we can get 32. And occasionally over. In winter it can go below -15C so it varies a lot.

I love long summer days. This year I’ve started getting up at 6am instead of my usual 7am and I enjoy my morning coffee looking out to my garden. Where I live in the UK Sun is rising about 5am and setting 9.20pm. I love the feeling of extra time in the evenings and feel sad our days are already shortening
I’m always enjoying the changing of the seasons so by the time it gets darker I’m on board with that too 😊

I envy the time you get to spend outdoors in summer. I wake up at 5:00AM so that I can walk my dog and get my workout in before the heat of the day which as of late has been 101 degrees by 8:00AM here in Phoenix, AZ. Much of our time is spent indoors in the air-conditioning which was never a problem before, but with being inside for so long during the Pandemic, the last thing I want to do is be inside! I wouldn't mind the long days in Sweden, however, it may be a challenge getting used to sunlight at 10:00PM. Thanks for the share, Benita, always a pleasure.

I can relate, an early walk and stuck inside for most of the day here in North Carolina, it is not quite as hot but very humid and mid-nineties.
I am envious also. I think this heat has ruined summer or maybe it’s my age, 70 but only morning is nice. I have umbrellas over my petunias because they can’t stand this heat either 106 yesterday. Texas panhandle.
