I mean that's kinda true in like 5 years but that's whatever. The davis thing is what gets me. He swept a team with a star and better cast than him and ran into the warriors and took a game off them which that's all LeBron got off them last season.

Colin, that's because there is an active campaign to discredit Lebron's accomplishments because he would dare to challenge the greatness of Jordan. But Lebron is the most complete basketball player ever and right now he is The G.O.A.T! He does not need 6 or 7 championships.

Put Ben Simmons with Omer Asik, Tim Frazer, Solomon Hill, Alexis Ajinca, Lance Stephenson and Tyreke Evans and lets see how much would he win. This is first time AD has good teammates and look what he is doing. He swept the Blazers, they already took one game from GSW, i believe they will take another tonight. Tevin McCray Don’t. Our franchise has consistently gotten better every year the last 7 years. We have ownership and front office stability and our “low” point the last 5 years has been losing to the best player of this generation. At least the team can sell us hope. Feel bad for Phoenix.

Tevin McCray you can’t win when your two best players are demar and Kyle. Not In the playoffs. Oh, GG you beat a garbage Washington team. 🙄🙄 we’ve seen this play, we know how it ends. *gets out the broom*
Dwayne needs to go. One of those two needs to go. And about three other dudes need to go. You need big men. You need shooters and you need someone who knows how to run an offense. Then MAYBE you’ll survive the asteroid next year when it comes screaming towards Toronto.

Status quo people? 10 years ago the raptors weren’t on any talk show unless Kobe dropped 81 on them. Do you suggest we tank and rely on ping pong balls to line up properly? Even the worst team only has a 25% chance. Steph draymond and Klay were all picks outside the top 5. 30 teams are all attempting the same goal, yet only 3 teams this season had a realistic chance to win a title from the start. How do the middle teams get better? Ask another middle team to give up their main attraction? This rhetoric of criticism is incredibly easy to talk about when no one is talking back with legitimate criticism towards your ideas.

Colin’s argument is pretty flawed on the Raptors because really they can’t do anything to get a star except for tanking. They are very unlikely to attract a top free agent, so what do you want them to do? They stay status quo because the other option is tanking...which I guess we could debate but it could easily just lead to the team fading away

One thing about the self-absorbed Colin Cowherd, "never let the facts get in the way of a good narrative".

I bet he never watches a single game on TV. Just watches ESPN sportcenter and listens to the analysts break the game down afterwards then uses it on his show tomorrow. I know for a fact there's people on his team in the studio that write out and research everything for him and he just delivers it on air acting like he's the one who did all the wrong.

Isaac Newton was perhaps the greatest scientist of all time and he did it while staying home during the plague. Immanuel Kant was perhaps the greatest philosopher of all time and never left Konigsberg If you're a genius you are pretty much internally motivated. Yes you definitely need other people and external experience to feed your mind but running aimlessly around collecting experience can just be so much running around. There's a time to collect knowledge and experience and a time to use what you've learned.
LeBron is a basketball genius. There's no reason to think that he would find one team of basketball players any more challenging to his mind than another. Whipping the Lakers that the Cavs acquired into a championship team would provide less satisfaction than doing it with the Lakers the Cavs didn't acquire? How? Why would the challenge of learning to work with new personnel mean he needs to go to a different team?
LeBron doesn't need to go to a new team or a new system to find himself anymore. A younger LeBron did; Kyrie Irving clearly thinks he needed to. I just find your argument strange when it comes to LeBron as he is today.
LeBron will decide what he values and when he does, we will know what that is.

Your smart Colin you should know adding one player doesn’t make you viable of winning a championship over the next five years. That’s ridiculous, unless it’s lebron that’s not possible from one player like PG3
