Thanks for this lovely video, I'm going to Iya Valley next month and I wonder if swimming in the river is allowed, it's just so beautiful that I'm tempted to go in :)
We were really disappointed when we realised we'd missed the school gym in Nagoro. We wandered around the village and saw most of the scarecrows... except for the gym. We hope to go back some day and check out the school too. Otherwise, the whole Iya Valley is sensational. The vine bridges were superb. We were actually interviewed by Japanese TV show at the vine bridges. I didn't get to record that interview unfortunately, but the host of the show graciously said hello on camera for my video. 😂 We stayed at a guesthouse across the road from the single Kazurabashi bridge but we didn't end up crossing that bridge and went to the other bridges (near Nagoro) instead. We ran out of time for Mt Tsuragi too. We'll definitely have to go up there next time after seeing your pictures. Nice job with the video!
Thanks for the video. It’s so fun to watch, and it’s soothing at the same time. Thank you for sharing your trip and spreading joy…love all your videos. Question: Is Adrian taking time off work for this trip?
Very cool; my friend and I will be there in about 12 days; we'll rent a car and just drive. I plan on swimming in the river and I'm sure I'll freeze my peanuts off! We wanna get as far away as possible from any other tourists.
Hi guys, Holly sh*t, Adrian! What gorgeous sceneries. It seems each one of those wooden suspension bridges must have an interesting story behind it. I also wonder if a Japanese media outlet has covered Ayano-San and her creations, at some point. Anyhow, thank you for introducing another gem, Shin from Colorado
They definitely have many stories to tell I'm sure. I know there used to be 13 preserved bridges but they are now just down to 3 remaining! As for Ayano-San, I'm sure NHK might have picked up the story at some point! It's a really interesting place. Thank you!
So beautiful. Riding up on the buckets looked epic 😝
Yeah it was pretty epic! Maybe not the safest but.. 🫢
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful scenery and hidden gems.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks so much! 😊

How do they keep them from getting wet in the rain? I would guess they get nasty and have to remake them? Thanks for the creep out?!? Great video.
