Another fantastic video! The production quality keeps improving. Helpful graphics. Sound levels are smooth. Excellent camera angles. (^.-) Soon Toho Co Ltd will be calling you! (^.-) Years ago, I worked in Kawagoe at the Amazon Fulfillment Center. This location is for fashion (clothing, shoes, accessories). Because I was there for work I NEVER got to see Kawagoe. Thank you so much Carl san for such a big Super Thanks for the video! Haha, I'm not sure about Toho but I'm relieved I didn't shock your ears this time. I'll keep working on it. Oh wow, that is interesting you've visited Kawagoe for work. Yes, Kawagoe is very different in the city center and outside. I hope you get to visit the old town part. :) Thank you so much again. I really appreciate your support.
Great timing! We are visiting Kawagoe in a few days so we studying this video for the good travel and background information. Anyone who watches this video and goes to Kawagoe will have a much more enjoyable visit! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much Kevin san Dale san! I’m glad I could publish it before your visit to Kawagoe! What a timing. I hope you have a safe and wonderful time in Kawagoe! Thank you again for your support for the video.

Thank you. I think the city museum would be very interesting for you as they have a big model of old town. It's quite interesting to imagine what it was like. :)
@tokyokenchan Hi Kensan , I just want to show my support by joining as your member. I had been to Japan for 4 times since 2022 but have not visited kamakura and Kawagoe , I'm looking forward to visiting on my next trip in 2025 . Keep up the good work, Kensan ! look forward to more videos from you .
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Oh 4 times already. I remember you asked about hotel's direction in Yaesu first, feels like a while ago. I'd like to keep working on more videos on Japan trip. Thank you again. :)
@@tokyokenchanHi Ken-san, thank you. Because of it, my friends and family travelled there recently and we also got to make our own chopsticks! It was a great experience. Thank you for your video.
I came here just to say thank you to you.. I just came back from my Japan Trip.. your videos help me a lot while studying to make my itinerary for the trip.. keep up the good work!
I visited Tokyo and Kawagoe, and in Kawagoe I really enjoyed taking a tour of Kawagoe Castle and going to the Kawagoe City Museum across the street from the castle. Would highly recommend adding that to the main merchant street and candy alley for a day trip.
Packed with practical info. We are visiting Japan for the first time next week and plan to attend the kawagoe matsuri on Saturday as a half day trip in the evening, the cycle tip is really helpful. Hopefully we can get around easily during the festival as we do plan to explore the neighbourhood shrines as well! Thank you for valuable info 😊
That's nice to see the festival! It will be a lot of people, so not sure if cycling is a convenient way that day, but I hope you have a great time in Kawagoe. :) Thank you for watching.
Kengo-San, thank you for sharing. It's not a place that would have otherwise been on my radar but looks like it is definitely worth a day trip out from Tokyo 👍 And the soy sauce looks like a good gift to take home!
Thank you for noticing the soy sauce Jamie san! I've tried several authentic soy sauce but this one wast really good and not expensive for taking 2 years to make. Yes, Kawagoe has mixed review but it might be good to check once for half a day if you have time. :)
@@tokyokenchan I most hunbly agree with you there I did offer you once to bring some fine tea I'll be coming to Japan soon It'll be my pleasure to bring you some I could even ship it to you Cheers Loving your presentations
Thank you Ken-san a great overview of Kawagoe. We had this on our list of possible places to go when we were in Tokyo and ran out of time to get there. But it is definitely on the list for our next visit. Cheers mate
I am going to Japan at the end of October. I didn't know if I wanted to visit Saitama but this video changed my mind. Kawagoe looks great. Thanks for helping me decide. 🙂
Thank you for watching. I think it depends on your favor, experience in Japan and your other itinerary. I'm glad you found Kawagoe interesting from this video. :)
Thank you. I was just looking for places to visit from Tokyo to have some day trip-ideas when I came to Tokyo (maybe next year). I'll save this idea an my personal list. Thank you also for your videos about what to do in Tokyo and the day trip to Hakone.
Thank you very much for another great video Kengo ! I have to admit that I have never heard of Kawagoe before. It looks really lovely. I am starting to plan our 4th trip to Japan (in March 2025), where will go to Tohoku. We also want to see new things in Tokyo, and maybe stay 2 nights in a place near Tokyo. For this, I am considering Yokohama, Kamakura, Nikko and now also Kawagoe. I have been to many places in Japan (some of them not very touristy), but to none of those places. I know that all are very different. I think that Nikko is too touristy for me, and that I would enjoy Yokohama (mainly for the cup noodle museum and the huge chinatown) and Kamakura (for the temples and shrines, and the seaside location). If you had to choose, which of those would you choose, and why ? Also, is it worth going on a day trip to Kawagoe (we are staying in Shinjuku) ? It looks lovely, but not really different from other places I have visited in Japan.
Thank you so much for watching. :) For me, I would choose Kamakura as I like the quiet temples in Kita-Kamakura and view of Mt.Fuji from the beach. The only headache is to go through the busy Kamakura station to change to Enoden tram. I can walk from Kita Kamakura to the beach too.
Hello Kengo san, at 1.20 is that a sweet potato chips? Looks yummy. And also the place looks very nice. And your video shot during sunset looks amazing. So what will you do with the soy sauce? 😎
Yes it’s a sweet potato chips. :) It wasn’t sweet enough for me but it’s very popular one. Thank you for noticing the sunset. 🌅 What did I do with the soy sauce? Top secret. 😎
Yes, the traditional buidlings are in the park and relaxing. You might like it if you like Ghibli movie. (Nothing to do with it but kind of showing old days in Japan)
I love all the interesting satellite cities of Tokyo. I have a question; if I have a 48hr or 72hr subway ticket (the one that covers the Toei & Tokyo Metro lines), can I use it on the subway (the Fukotoshin Line I think) from Shinjuku Sanchome to Kawogoe. Do I have to get off, exit and purchase a new ticket at Wakoshi and sacrifice the convenience of the direct service.
Thanks for the video. Love it! Planning to go back Japan this fall. A quick question, due to continuing depreciation of JPY, I heard some restaurants in Tokyo start to provide foreigners a different menu with much higher charges. Just wondering have you seen the situation like this? Personally, I would not appreciate that. Attracting foreigners to Japan will boost Japan's economy, bring more USD, and establish good images of Japan. Thanks
Thank you Miki san! I loved your video too. It must have been so hard filming in Kimono. 👘 I respect your trying hard for filming. I need to learn a lot from you.
