Did you know what was awaiting you before arriving at Carcassone? What a fantastic place that is and if you approach it from Narbonne, It looks so imposing and majestic up on that hill. Love all of that region, eastwards through the Provence to Aix-en-Provence then up to the parc naturel du Luberon. Looking forward to many more episodes of this tour.
Hi Charlie...as usual a good relaxed watch, the only thing I do differently is put the foil blanket under the tent...you can get multifoil layered ones....they really make a difference ...but cant find a link to share. Good luck with the Dragon 😁
Some friends and I stopped in Limoges back in 2008. From your video I could see that it appears as beautiful clean and litter free now as it was back then. Stunning videos. Thanks for bringing back memories for me.

It was a fair bit of riding Sandy, but definitely worth it. You could always take a night ferry to north Spain and ride up through into southern France. 😊

So pleased to watch this vid Charlie, as you've nearly done the same route we did 5 years ago including Oradour, Carcassonne and Biarritz ! Only difference was we weaved our way through the Pyrenees upto Biarritz and had a brilliant time at the Wheels and Waves festival totally by chance, we lost three days !! 🤣🤣🤣 Love what your doing sweetheart, keep it up and take care.....🏍👍😎

What did you think of Rocamadour ? I spent 2 days on the aire at the top by the chateau, last april 2022. It’s the place to buy pate de fois gras, apparently. Did not buy any! Great videos Charlie. I can see a second trip in the future.!!!😊
I liked Rocamadour, it's a shame it's a bit touristy, for example the restaurants that have a view of the cliffs pit their prices up according to the view! Beautiful none the less.

A bit random Charlie, but your wander around Limoges brought back a nearly forgotten memory. I have been many years ago now to Limoges and whilst there i bought some beautiful porcelain bowls and plates it's famous for producing. Then a few years later i met someone and we decided to go travelling in a camper van. She not long after decided the the Limoges porcelain was to valuable and fragile to travel with so she replaced it with some thick chunky & very purple things from a pound shop. As much as i didn't like it, especially the colour, i did understand the logic so off we went traveling. A few years later after we'd driven all over the UK, Ireland and each other bonkers we slit up. When she left she not only left me with that lovely purple 🤮 pottery, but she also left with all my Limoges porcelain 😲. I trust your visit to Limoges will leave you with fonder memories lol 😂.

In the meantime I'm starting a small collection of antique Royal Doulton and trying to rebuild a not quite antique honda Transalp and get it back on the road. Have to keep ones priorities straight 😜. Another great film I too dislike town riding so I share his pain. Just as an aside, Charlie my planned ride with my Son next year was Austria and Switzerland it’s now changed to France since watching this series. @@restdayrider Yes as soon as soon as I spoke with my son it was France all the way. It has always been on the list of countries to bike tour. I went every year for a family holiday pre covid. Belgium and the Netherlands also on the agenda.
