    I've heard it's more of a single mass flywheel characteristic

    I went south bend organic/ceramic and delvac 50. I’ve heard rollover like once. It’s a must do even with stock clutch this fluids great

    Amsoil 75-90 MTG is slick and shifts easier then Delvac50.

    How does it shift in cold weather with this fluid?

      From my experience with my 06 you had to let the truck warm up for at least 10 minutes in the winter or it would stick very badly in gear

    Just bought this same clutch tonight! Can’t wait to install it! Definitely going to add the Mobil delvac in it as well!
    How long did it take you to install the clutch?

      @vtdeezl  6 лет назад

      Dan Spencer I had a shop do the clutch for me so I’m not sure on the install time.

      Thanks VTDeezl. Thanks for adding the link for the mobile delvac. That’s by far the cheapest I’ve seen!

    Did you out delvac 50 in the transfer case too or did you put a different fluid in there

      A bit late, but when i got my NV271 Tcase, it said to use something like 10w30 engine oil.

    How’s the shifting in cold temps?

    Are you still running the Delvac 50? If so, How’s the transmission shifting? I just switched to 7 qts Delvac 50 and is fine when warm, but very notchy when truck is cold. I don’t really mind the cold shifting issue, Just want to make sure I am not damaging synchros. Thanks for video and feedback! We have twin trucks and similar mods 🍻

      PAKNVNM I don’t have this truck anymore unfortunately, but I did run the delvac until I traded it. It got a little stiff in cold weather but it always loosened up after a couple miles.

      VTDeezl thanks for the reply! Ill continue to run the Delvac. Sorry you don’t have the truck anymore, too bad Ram killed the stick this year.

      Hey bud I am using Hot Shot’s unreleased G56 fluid and am still experiencing notchy shifting when cold. Running 7 QT too. Just for reference it is not limited to this particular fluid

      @@BoogerSugarOffYourMothersAss Good to know. I switched the Delvac a few moths ago to RP Synchromax, 7 qts and she shifts like a dream.

    How’d she sound when she warmed up, my South Bend is dead quiet cold but once the royal purple warms up faint chatter comes back can’t hear it over the fan blowing tho

    • @vtdeezl
      @vtdeezl  6 лет назад

      I definitely get a little chatter back when it’s warmed up, but it’s tolerable. Nothing like it was with the stock ATF. Once I park and let it idle for a minute it goes away.

    Are you daily driving this beast?

  • @SweetSc00b99

    How’s that clutch for daily driving? Can you start in second is it jumpy at all?

    • @vtdeezl
      @vtdeezl  6 лет назад

      Dre it can be a little jumpy in second and reverse, but I’ve learned to pull out with a little more throttle. You can’t slip into it as easy as the stock clutch. Now that it’s broken in and I’ve gotten used to it, it’s not bad at all.
