The reason you buy Haunting Guise is because of the magic pen, and it's an extremely cost efficient item, because of the Magic Pen, Health and Ability Power.

In normal games having fun go deathcap first sure but in ranked or serious games go defense items first as ap or tanky melee champs such as top or mid
