The cookie box thing we do it here in Greece as well. In every Grandma's house there is a cookie box filled with thread and staff like that. The worst part is we do it with large ice cream containers. You can imagine the disappointment when someone opens the freeze and sees the ice cream box, only to discover that there is fish or beans in it! Your baskets are awesome, thanks for sharing your ideas!

I’ve done some for teachers that had fancy pens and cute writing pads/planners and other teacher supplies from dollar tree. You can use the smaller holiday themed goodie bags to put a couple of pens and notebooks. Maybe add some candy to it. But I really like the movie themed and the snow man hot cocoa ones. I’ll have to remember the balloon glue dots. Genius idea.

The tool box gift would be cute inside the little tool boxes that dollar tree carries. There not that sturdy so I use it for my eye glass kit & picture hanging tools mostly but it's small so it works. I did a car wash basket once when a family friend got a new car & used a wash bucket from DT. I also did a similar one for a white elephant & used winter stuff for the car (i.e. snow/ice brush, de-icer etc.) It turned out awesome 👌

I absolutely LOVE doing DIY gift baskets and DIY flower baskets. I actually just did a DIY flower basket for my Mom's nursing home room (she has been there less than a month 😢) because I wanted to do something flowery to brighten it up and I knew that fresh flowers wouldn't last very long. I used a DT planter because it was pretty big and had a woodgrain look to it. I found some butterflies with wires on the back, so I took the wires out and glued them to the planter, then filled it with moss and rocks before cutting down some flowers, and leaf things, and sticking those inside, then I added a set of fairy lights (that I also found at DT! 😮) and weaved it in/around the flowers, that way they had this nice glow coming from them. It came out so beautiful.
I also do a lot of memorial DIY things with DT items, as well. I've even done sentimental DIY items. I'm not a really crafty person, but I love making baskets or personal crafts, using sentimental items for family members. I remember making my mother-in-law a Christmas gift using woven hanging flower pot holders from Shein, battery operated tea lights and candle holders from DT and pictures of her kids. I put the hanging flower pot holders together, put the tea lights inside the candle holders, placed those in the bottom of the flower pot holders, then fastened pictures to the top of the ropes, that way the tea lights illuminated the pictures. I, also, took an old glass jewelry display case (the really heavy ones with the glass door/window that latch shut) and lined it with an old pink shirt because I didn't have fabric and made her something like a shadowbox with sentimental items in it. I've made her memory books using photos of her parents, both of whom are gone. I made her a memory book for her best friend, who was murdered when they were 13 years old, using photos, newspaper clippings, etc. I love doing stuff like this!

Like everything needed for a pot of spaghetti, including the pot as the basket! It’s relatively easy to find very high end cookware at thrift stores. Last year I found 2 stainless skillets that are around $200 each new for less than $10 each and they still looked very new. I am going to use your idea of the decade baskets this year! So much fun. Grandma had buttons in her cookie tin. Omg, I grew up in the 60's and I remember all of those candies! Not so much that cereal but for sure the candy. I remember Razzles and buttons from the 70s.

You could have used your sticky dots to keep those puffed stickers from falling off the front of the white plastic container. Cute ideas.
