Generation XXI Blood gives me hope and confidence in the future in part because of you young women. Sixty years ago when I was a bit younger than you are now, there was huge spirit in girls and boys which got washed out by the age of 12. Girls, especially, but boys, too, seemed to fall into conventional, traditional ruts and to stop trying to seek excellence and competence in striving for something bigger and better. Even in California girls would never have dared play loud guitar, bass or drums back then, but here you are, and you inspire even younger girls (and boys) to try. And look what you have already accomplished with more to come. Well, I have been Warned, and I hope to live long enough to hear your music for a few more years.
For women in rock, there is some history....we are all familiar with the 60's with Janis Joplin and Grace Slick who both paved the way for female vocalists in rock...in 1970, a band named Fanny was one of the first all-female bands to sign a record deal and the first to release a record achieving 2 top 40 hits and 5 albums in their short career. A few years later several artists appeared like the sister led band Heart (both sisters played instruments), The Runaways (gave us Lita Ford and Joan Jett), Patti Smith (God Mother of Punk), Suzi Quatro (played Bass and her older sister was in Fanny), Stevie Nicks and Christie McVie (Part of perhaps the best album of the 70's Rumors). By the end of the 70's we got more female rock artists like Pat Benatar (singer/songwriter) and Chrissie Hynde (Singer/Songwriter/guitarist). Unfortunately, the 80's brought on a huge pop era that attracted female artists by the score....still, we got Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and Banshee's, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth....and female front women like Patty Smyth of Scandal. In the 90's there was a big scene of Grrl Rock and punk....The Donnas, Hole, the beginnings of No Doubt.....Women in rock has not always been a big thing, but the artists we have had have been important....to both the history of rock and inspiration to bands like The Warning.
Fanny ain't done yet. I hear their releasing a new album soon. Maybe Dany in 50 years. :) m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10214096910798374&id=1280644258
Just love finding these 6yr old pieces of history! Just seeing how down to earth they were back then, and to see them NOW........they are the same girls. What a gift to R&R.
Paulina is a mixed of Pete Townshend and Keith Moon, because she is the creative force of The Warning and she has the power of Keith Moon, Now The Warning has 54 new songs in process!!! this is incredible!!! it is question of time The Warning will be considered Genius!!!
I've seen footage of the girls after that concert regarding the heat, glad everything turned out well, but I hadn't seen this interview, thanks and cheers.
Matt Heaffy conchas del oxxo are those sweet breads that look like shells and I guess they bought them at the oxxo which is a store kind of like 7 eleven.
Another great video Matt! Although I was wondering something; I got a notification saying you uploaded another video, but when I went to check it, it was unavailable. Did you have to have the video taken down? Or did you not upload another video at all?
Sorry to tell you that there is not a continuation, a few minutes after they cut off the interview they streamed Unmedable and Survive, so that was all.
Matt Heaffy Thanks for the clarification again Matt. That ending was just so sudden- they were in the middle of asking Dany a question- that it threw me completely off guard!
David Hollis Not sure if you have seen this before, but here's one English-speaking interview split into two parts: vimeo.com/123886396 vimeo.com/123886397 (Sorry if those links don't work for you, if they don't try typing in 'The Warning interview' in Vimeo) This interview is from over two years ago (before they went to Berkeley if I remember) and personally is one of my favourites from them. Not only is it in English, which makes it easier for me to understand, but the girls really show off their kind, bubbly personalities and their sweet sibling dynamic. They also said in this interview that they hate sports, which made me like them even more haha 😂 Hope this helps David!

Great interview. Thanks for sharing this.
The best intervew!!!!, in my opinion
Matt, thank you very much for posting this.. Girls you are our heros!
I love the band, but I would like to hear the interview without the background music
A very good interview video of the girls here, will be nice when there are also interviews where they speak in English too.

This is the only one I know of
Good footage, recommend improve your translation. Again great footage, thx!
The background music was too loud and it was hard to understand what they were saying. No need for the background music.😖
Demasiado alto el volumen de la música de fondo. Algunas partes no se entienden.
21:56 they are like Filipina. Conservative and well mannered.
Enable CC for subtitles.
Matt Heaffy I speak Spanish 🤘🏼😜🤘🏼
Great, then please help me with some word I didn't get. like conchas de loxo?? and a couple more that I don't remember now.
Matt Heaffy conchas del oxxo are those sweet breads that look like shells and I guess they bought them at the oxxo which is a store kind of like 7 eleven.
Ohh I see, thanks I will change that.

sorry about that, I was testing the live streaming option, but it went wrong!. next time.
Matt Heaffy All good mate, we appreciate your effort in trying 👍 And thanks for clearing that up, that was really baffling me.
Ok, I just finished watching the vid. What was with the abrupt ending? Is there a continuation to this hopefully?
Sorry to tell you that there is not a continuation, a few minutes after they cut off the interview they streamed Unmedable and Survive, so that was all.
Matt Heaffy Thanks for the clarification again Matt. That ending was just so sudden- they were in the middle of asking Dany a question- that it threw me completely off guard!
Great interview, Sub Titles are great, I have only seen one English interview. that is the one on Facebook. Anyone know of an
