      You right, but when you come from a culture of impoverishment and literally have no reference point for what saving money looks like, it will be a difficult task to try.
      Especially when you grow up not seeing your elders manage their money and other business affairs very well.

    Unfortunately, this is nothing new. This is business and he was unaware of how it works. I believe not just for celebrities but for everyone you have to have multiple streams of income coming in or else you will be beholden to your employer. No employer pays you what you are worth they pay you with what they can get away with. Once I figured that out boom life became a lot clearer.

Start with investments that have small returns until you learn how to spot bigger or better investments at the same time building your investment accounts in order to buy when they become available.. He got caught up..in the fun.. Still no matter how he spent it no excuse for the pay cut.. Nick needs to be slapped

    There is no logical reason for there to be such a decrease in pay period!       Joe Noe I wouldn’t say it’s just African Americans either. We shouldn’t undermine a whole group of people just because of a few examples. This happens to all types of different people. When you come from a place where you have nothing to suddenly having a gracious amount, people (from poorer backgrounds) tend to splurge on things menial because they never had the opportunity to when they were broke. When you get a taste of a life you never had, it’s kinda surreal

    This actually happened to me recently. I was doing very well financially but only had one stream of income. Then I lost everything. I had to learn the hard way unfortunately. Well fast forward, and now I have MULTIPLE streams of income and it feels good to not just rely on one job. PLUS I’m saving $$$$$ more too.

    People hear how much he was making and then question his spending or saving habits...and that is true...but spin it like this--your job comes in and tells you-You did nothing wrong, no issues with your production--but we are going to pay you 90% less. How many would just say ok because "they got a job"? I believe most of us would be salty as well. Cant look at what he was getting paid-but you have to look at the big picture that he took a drastic pay cut!     Comedy is a beast, most don't understand how this art form effects everything in your life. Comics aren't perfect we make mistakes and sometimes you burn out.
